He called back like he said and checked in. Showed up when it was dark and knocked out a spring replacement in no time. Friendly, fast and good work. No complaints. Super recommend. read more

Chuck is super nice! Very efficient. Literally checked my 2 car garage door for maintenance. It was sticking and kept opening back up. Plus now, it's so quiet. Like it's a brand new garage door. So happy with his service and very fair service fee. I highly recommend him. The other businesses I called were OVER CHARGING for what was needed to be done. He's an absolute gem! The technician showed up on time and ready to get to work. The work that was done was top rate and he even tried to reuse some of the older parts. Very good work. Additionally, while he was here he gave our garage door a quick tuneup. The cost was very reasonable and the technician (Daniel) was very professional. read more

Had my sectional garage door come off the metal side track and the steel guide/lift cables came undone also. He was able to fix the door and realign it, lube and re-greased all the joint within 90 minutes. Now everything works great. Thanks Dan.... read more

Our garage door spring broke late Tuesday evening. I called the next morning and Chuck was here before 3PM with the parts and ready to take on the challenge. He not only fixed the broken tension spring but found issues with the rails and corrected them and adjusted our controller. Chuck goes way above the line of service and we highly recommend his business. read more

Chuck is a wizard. He is busy but did answer my call and follow up a day later to repair my garage door I bashed in with a surfboard on my roof. He repaired my door with better parts and aligned/tensioned the door properly( the PO had it installed wrong). He was methodical, and very practiced. He saved me from buying a whole new door. He was nice. He's a old school technician who operates his own business and it's nice to deal with someone honest and efficient. read more

My garage door was built in 1974 and I needed to replace the 46 year old heavy wooden structure. My neighbors highly recommended Harvey Overhead Door, and they were spot on! The estimate was given, the new door was ordered and it was promptly installed 5 days later in June 2022. The price was fair, and the door is amazing. This local business is better than a 5 Star rating. Highly recommended!!! read more

Called to get the garage door fixed. The tech came within 40minutes. Very professional and did a great job.

I don't know what to say when I first called he wasn't rude but not friendly.when I called to have them come and look at my mothers garage door he was able to come out with in a day or two. He checked out the door and said we needed a new motor gave us a good to decent price. He said he had to order it would be Monday when he get it in and he would call to set up a time to install. I waited till Tuesday to call him when I did he was very rude like I was bothering him. And said he had no memory at all of coming to American canyon and doing an estimate which I have a copy of. So we scratched him and called someone else and they came right out that day and re aligned cleaned and oiled the door and motor and now everything works fine with no motor replacement for the price of a service call read more

They were able to squeeze me in on short notice on the only day thay worked for me, and the appointment was set for whatever time they finished up a big job ahead of me. A spring had broken on my garage door a week prior and it was a huge pain to not habe use of it, so I was just happy to get them out here. Well, the other job apparently took longer than expected, and it was 5pm by the time Chuck showed up, but he still came. And my garage door was giving him problems, but he kept at it until it was done, and he tested it several times, worked out all the kinks, and didn't leave until it was done RIGHT. It was well into the evening at that point, but not a word of complaint from him. So thanks again Chuck for taking care of us and keeping your business's word to accommodate me that day despite things not going as planned, and for the quality and pride in your work. A+ service! read more

A few days ago a part on my garage door opener broke. Yesterday morning I called Harvey Overhead Door. A very skilled and knowledgeable tech came out in less than 15 minutes. Took about an hour to fix the door, lubricate it...it now works and sounds like a new garage door. All for a very reasonable price. I told the tech I'd give him 5 stars. This is a superb outfit! read more

I had a really great experience with Harvey Overhead Door. Chuck came out and gave me an estimate which was well below what other companies quoted (check one), the door and lift system I really wanted they had (check two), although it took a while after the initial estimate to get the door (partly my fault for failure to follow-up) Kyle came through and ensured the door was ordered and he came out and installed everything just the way I wanted. I am very pleased with their service and prices. I am so glad I did not bother to buy a new garage door and system from Lowes. I would absolutely refer Harvey's to friends and family. read more

Gave them a call. They said they could stop by and give an estimate the next day. Arrived on time for the estimate on time and was a fair price. Said he could have it install later that day. read more

I called this morning and made an appointment for between 2 and 3pm. I requested that they call me when they were on the way so I could meet them. They called at 1:50p, said they would be leaving in a few minutes, should be there in about 15 minutes. Kyle arrived as promised, was efficient and through. He thought he knew what the problem was after the first couple things that he checked, and he was correct. There were two issues, both caused by the original installer. The adjustments were done quickly and the door is working better now that it did when I moved to this house a year ago. Thank you so much Kyle, you were on time, efficient, friendly and very much appreciated!! I called someone else first, they couldn't come out until tomorrow, and the price they quoted for just coming was $30 more per hour. I'm so happy I called Harvey Overhead Door, I highly recommend them. read more

So first the garage door went out. Just replaced that...then the dumb door cable snapped. My husband was on the phone with Harvey Overhead Door within minutes. They were out within an hour or two. Took a couple hours to fix the problem but we are very satisfied. They are quick, efficient and per my man, very reasonably priced. He said some places he called wanted 500. This guy did the work for 205. No complaints here. Give HOD a call. You won't be disappointed! read more

This was my first time calling Harvey Overhead Door and of course it was a critical situation. My garage door would not go up or down as the cable jumped from position. It occurred at 11:30 am and I was just not sure what to do. I searched Yelp and came across these great ratings and they are sooo accurate. I called and left a message and they promptly called me back and were out in 15 min. I expected that it would be costly and a complete garage door replacement. I was delighted that they were able to make the repairs/adjustments within an hour and were very reasonable and local. I would highly recommend them for their prompt service, professional expertise and communication/customer service skills. They are now my go to company should I need any additonal repairs or replacements read more

The owner Chuck is fabulous! With the recent fires, I realized that I no longer had the strength to lift my garage door once the power was shut off. He came promptly to install a new door opener that had battery backup, the top of the line, belt driven, quiet Liftmaster. His price was very reasonable given that it took over 3 hours to install. In addition, he showed me where to periodically spray the garage door and springs with WD 40. Thank you, Chuck! Jacky read more

Had my garage chain break on a Monday morning, thank goodness I was working from home that day. I called Harvey Overhead Door and Chuck answered immediately and said he could be out to my home in about a half hour. Chuck came right away and was able to diagnose the problem and offered several solutions. I made my decision for a new opener and Chuck installed it on that same Monday. The new opener is so quiet, has great smart features, and has a nice led motion sensor light that comes on anytime I walk in my garage when it's dark. He tested and retested everything before he left and I couldn't be more pleased. If you're looking for an honest and fair garage door company who does great work, call Harvey Overhead and ask for Chuck! read more

My garage door spring broke and I requested a quote through Yelp and they replied back within minutes! Kyle called me back after the quote and I set up an appt with them and they had very flexible appt times plus best prices versus the other companies around. Kyle arrived for my appt today and fixed my garage door with ease!!! He is very professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable! I would recommend anyone to have their business work on your house! They also have a 1 yr warranty on the spring if it has a defect in the product. Which puts me with peace of mind! read more

Bought a house in Vallejo but the previous owners for some reason had no door on the detached garage when I moved in. I called Harvey overhead door a couple weeks before I was moving In and spoke to the owner Chuck. He came out to the property to take some measurements and give me a quote. I made it clear to him I needed it done the day i got keys turned into me because i didn't want to move my stuff into the garage without it having a door. He promised me it wouldn't be a problem. Between his assurance to get the job done and his very reasonable pricing I decided to go with them for my garage door installation. Weeks later their technician Kyle came out to install the garage door. He was very well mannered gentlemen and did a good job installing the door. He pointed out a few concerns he had because of my low overhead and walked me thru the operation of the door. I highly recommend Harvey overhead doors for your installation. They made it so simple for me to get this garage door installed during a time of complete chaos in my schedule. read more
