I already knew the safety sensors were not working but wasn't sure what the issue might be. The technician arrived and I explained what I had already done to troubleshoot the issue, including installing new sensors. He indicated it was likely the wires or the circuit board inside the opener itself. I asked if he could simply test to see if power was getting to the sensors before running new wires. He connected a new wire to one of the sensors he removed from its bracket and said, yes that's the problem, you need new wires ran from the opener to the sensors. So I asked "what would that charge be?". He indicated he would charge $50 + $175 =$225.00. I opted not to have him run the wires. He then said the charge would then just be $175. He said it was for his "experience and for his time to come to our house". I asked so what was the "free estimate?" By his definition, the "Free Estimate" was simply him showing up, but I needed to pay for his expertise. As a result, instead of gently gliding to a soft close, the door buckled in the middle like a twig - completely totaled. Kristian from R&S came out to inspect the situation. He tested the door and inspected the tracks. He was upfront that the door needed to be replaced (which was a bummer). However, the offer I received from their manager (Dan) for replacing the door was reasonable and they were able to schedule the work promptly. The new door was installed without a hitch and glides smoothly on the tracks. I feel that R&S Vallejo is a quality outfit, and I intend to call them for future garage door repairs. Recommended.

When my garage door stopped working last night, I was dreading the typical runaround of automated phone trees and delayed callbacks. Instead, this morning, John personally answered on the first ring and immediately scheduled a technician for a couple of hours later. Ahmed arrived when promised and was absolutely exceptional. Within minutes, he had diagnosed the problem. What really impressed me was how he took the time to walk me through every repair option, explaining the pros and cons of each approach along with transparent pricing - no hidden fees or surprise charges. Not only did Ahmed fix the immediate issue, but he also performed preventive maintenance to help avoid future problems. As an unexpected bonus, I had been struggling with my car remote garage button, and he took the extra time to reprogram it properly. These thoughtful touches really set this company apart. The entire experience was seamless, professional, and reasonably priced. In a world where quality and personal service seems increasingly rare, Garage Door Opener Repair delivered exactly what they promised. I won't hesitate to call them again or recommend them to anyone needing garage door service. Plus they have 24/7 Emergency Service. This is how customer service should be done!
