Wanted an installation of a 2-door and single sectional garage doors . Landmark Garage Doors was recommended to me by a friend. I called and left a message. The owner George returned my call to make appointment. First thing to remember is that George does not necessarily get to your place at a specific time. He called me to say he was 20 minutes away and whether I was home or not. Being retired, I was not concerned about the time. He showed up before my appointment. George give me some proposals based on what I said I was looking for. He is very personable and fun to talk to. I pretty much investigated with my son what we wanted ahead of time but still had to see the colors. From other contractor bids, I was told I had to do some preparation work like notch a workbench that was in the way of installing a track and get another garage door opener because old one could not be used due to crossbeam interference. Anyway, George said workbench had to be notched but they would do it. As to the garage door opener, they said they can work with the current garage door opener after slight modification. Not only was Landmark cost estimate better than other contractors but George was willing to go the extra effort that others did not. Installation by Robert was expertly done. He took about 6 hours for two doors. He was very businesslike but personable as well. You can tell he knew his stuff. When the physical installation was done, he reprogrammed the up and down limits of both openers and although willing to reprogram the remotes, I asked him to leave the remote codes alone. This way all relatives who have their car remote programmed to my opener did not have to do a reprogram. Yay. After installation, the 2-door one was making a lot of noise when operated by garage door opener. I text George and he came out the following day and within a minute knew what was wrong. Since one of the garage openers had to modified (not functionally), the garage door opener cover made the noise. George used two wood shims, and problem solved. Nice and quiet openers, both of them that I already had. Can't thank George and Robert enough for their expertise and work efforts. George has decades of experience and you can tell he enjoys his work. Other contractors were strictly professional, gave the facts/bid and then left. I enjoyed swapping stories with George. read more

I called Landmark to ask if they sell parts without the service. Spoke to George and he said yes. I'm mechanically inclined so figured installing garage door springs won't be too much of a problem for me. Youtube helps also haha. Anyways when I went over to Landmark to pick the springs up, i had asked what he would charge to install them for me and his price was reasonable. George shows up in the afternoon 15 minutes before the time we planned for 4pm. Usually people you contract show up late but he was way on time. He replaced the springs and we noticed the garage door was binding right when it was about to close. He lubed springs and hinges and the problem was still there. Remember, I only hired him to install the springs, but he went above and beyond my expectations, trying to diagnose the problem. He said he would return with a reinforced bracket to install. Today Robert and Anthony show up and come to find out Robert has a ton of experience. He figured out that 2 of the rollers were installed in the wrong location which was causing the door to bind up with the door framing of the house. They repositioned the rollers, installed the reinforcement bracket and everything was all good. They did these repairs out of their own will and did not once ask for any additional payment for time and travel, parts, and their labor. I will definitely be doing business with them again and refering them to friends and family in need of any garage door and opener services . You don't find many people out there anymore that go over and beyond expectations. Most do the minimum and go on to the next job. Thanks again George, Robert, and Anthony. read more

Had another Garage door company who I "HAD" trusted in the past come out and tell me I needed a entire new unit. All they did was look at it, took the cover off and said not fixable. Need new unit @ $750 They were the company who originally installed the entire new door and drive component. I myself looked up my Genie Garage door opener and found out that the Motor was lifetime warranty. They sent me a new one and I contacted George at Landmark on a Thur eve. He had his tech here Justin at 9:30 next morning. Installed new motor, replaced broken motor mount and put back cover that was left off original non- repair guy. Total repairs cost only $115 since motor was free from Genie Corp. Thank you George & Justin read more

George from Landmark Garage Doors has installed 2 garage doors for us. We chose him the first time because of his competitive price. We had him do the second install because we were happy with the first. The reason for this review though is because of a recent service visit. I damaged our garage door and knocked it off the track when I pushed the garage door button, closing it, while my wife was backing out of the garage. The damaged door would not close or open, it was bent and and stuck. My fault. We called George and explained the situation. He must have sensed the trouble I was in with my wife because he came over the same day and fixed our garage door. He replaced a damaged hinge, remounted the door, re-sprung the hinge and straightened a bent door panel. The door looks and works just like it did before the damage. George could have taken advantage of the situation and charged us much more but he didn't. He replaced only what needed to be replaced and fixed what needed to be fixed. George Teesdale at Landmark Garage Doors is honest and friendly, I recommend him. read more

Paid to fix our garage door less than 2months ago. Called today to let him know the problem wasn't corrected. He answered saying he'd call back in ten mins after he finished up. Nope... No return call Horrible customer service. Poor workmanship read more

I did have a small hiccups on day of installation where the installer brought over the wrong door but he rushed back to the warehouse and picked up the correct ones and installed them without any other issues. George's price was the same as other quotes that I got but I do believe that he offered a better product and a warranty that destroyed other installers by yearssss of coverage. This made him have the better overall deal. Also, I did do my research and checked contractor license before choosing a installer, George has been in the business for a long time and he has a squeaky clean record. Thanks for your service George and i'll be recommending you to my neighbors and friends. read more

I walked in to the shop to purchase a spring for garage door 4 years ago. George, owner, shared his concern when I told him I will install it myself at my rental property. He explained that because of the huge tension the springs hold, it is extremely dangerous to attempt a garage door spring replacement myself and offered discounted price on installation just because he DIDN'T want to see me ending up at ER not because he wants to make more profit. I mean who does this? Wow... Great guy! I am a customer for life! Telling everyone I know who to call for garage repairs. Two days ago, spring broke at my own home. Called George (Saturday), left him a message which he promptly returned my call. Repair scheduled for following Monday! Thanks George! You guys are simply awesome!!! read more

Wow, it was our lucky day when our neighbor referred Landmark Garage Doors to us. They truly understand what doing business the right way looks like. Justin was on time, had asked enough questions to come prepared. He was able to fix our Garage door, program our cars and check to make sure the system was working well. He was professional, courteous and did not try to sell us things we didn't need. Thank you Justin it was a pleasure to do business with you. read more

George came out and installed new garage door springs. He has a ton of knowledge and knew the right fit given the type of door. Justin showed up on the same day I called for service and saved my sagging garage door by installing a strut at a very reasonable price. He was very knowledgeable, worked quickly, and went above and beyond by performing other maintenance and lubrication that I did not expect to be included. Landmark provided a comprehensive pricing list of parts and labor as part of the invoice that helped me clearly understand what I was paying for. I am proud to support a local family business and I will definitely be reaching out again for my garage door needs. read more

Hello George, I took off work Tuesday and you cancelled just before your arrival time. You rescheduled for Saturday and me and my 4yr old son sat home and called you and you never showed or answered your phone. So, I am sending you a message through Yelp to let you and everyone know I do not appreciate taking a day off of work and spending half of a day off sitting in the house waiting for nothing and no response, even now, Monday. The reviews for this company must be written by employees. 2 days of no shows and they have completely ghosted on me! read more

Our 60-year-old garage door hinges finally gave out late one Thursday afternoon before the midwinter holidays. George showed up two hours later, at the end of the day, in the dark, and made quick fixes that allowed the door to stay closed overnight, keeping us safe. Over the years, George and his team kept our door going as long as possible. He understood our preference to keep the perfectly-balanced, batten-and-board garage door that matches the front of our house and didn't push for a new door. The next day, he and his son replaced the hinges quickly with shiny, solid, new steel mechanism. It operates so much more smoothly and quietly now! I highly recommend this business. read more

We had an "emergency" with our probably 50 year old original garage door when the springs snapped and we couldn't open it. Figured it was time to replace the whole thing and George came out and put temporary springs on it while he ordered our beautiful new door. Its hard to find good, honest people and George and his team did a great timely job at a good price, and he's just a nice guy to boot. Highly recomended! read more

After getting my new opener installed by another company the installer tried to sell my wife on us needing a new door and then backed off to trying to sell us on replacing the door springs. I decided to get a second opinion and a friend recommended Landmark. Justin came out to my house looked everything over and said it was fine. He walked me through features of the door, how it was installed, what to look for when it's time to replace the springs, and gave me some background on the company that manufactured my door. He even fine tuned the adjustment on my open and close limits. All of this for no charge. I was blown away that a company would come out and opt not to make an unnecessary sale. I had him leave his contact information because my family owns a few properties and there is going to be a need for work in the future. This will definitely be the first company I call when the time comes. read more

Our garage door springs broke on a 9 year old house. We called around and Landmark Garage doors was willing to come out on a Sunday afternoon. George showed up and is the most friendly and helpful guy ever. He used double springs on our doors to ensure they would last 15+ years, greased the tracks, and even nailed down some loose nails in the seal. He is super knowledgeable, honest, and did I mention a super nice guy? I felt so good giving him my business and would refer him to anyone in need of garage door repairs. read more
