Door Pros @ San Rafael installed a Clopay Modern Steel Door and it looks great!…read more I would love to leave you a 5-star Yelp Review, but I think waiting nearly 4-months for installation is a little too much. Lots of delays and "finger pointing." The last story I heard was the Clopay factory in Ohio shipped my original door to the wrong place, and Door Pros had to get a rush replacement. So finally the two-man crew shows up and installed my door. This is my very first garage door I bought, so I watched the process. Very efficient, and their experience shows in how smooth the install process was. My old "retro" door weighed about 400-lbs, but they were able to remove it and haul it away. BTW, Nate was a great salesman. He didn't upsell the most expensive door in the catalog. He listened to what I ideally wanted. I wanted something new and modern. Something that would add value to my home. I got a Clopay Modern Steel Door with windows in chocolate brown, stucco texture. Included: LiftMaster opener, mailslot and safety latch. Got a $200 discount.

After he mounted the control switch above my height, I asked him to move it down and he obligingly did it. These guyz are the best! What was I waiting for?…read more I was living with this noisy garage door for 5 years. Finally I ran it off the rails when I tried to close the garage door while a ladder was in the way. Call these guyz and get it done, fast, easy, AND cheap--all 3! ExtraSpace Storage told me they use these guyz exclusively. For how many garage doors ExtraSpace Storage has, you KNOW they use the best garage door repair peeps. They came out in less than 24 hours, arrived before the scheduled time, Fernando M finished the job in less than an hour--maybe less than 30 minutes!--and it was under 200 dollars. The door works better than before. Honestly. All that AND the garage door works better than before I broke it. Whether you give a thumbs up or not, I hope you found this review helpful.

This was an intermittent but troublesome problem, with no sudden cause, with the door just barely kissing the frame. Luis Morales of R&S Richmond confirmed the problem, which is that dimensions of the door opening slowly change with soil and humidity. Luis was helpful, inquisitive and an effective consultant. We agreed that a simple DIY repair would likely help for now. I'll keep R&S in mind if the problem gets worse. Also: there are 19 other houses in this district with identical garage doors, almost all of which have similar problems. I'll refer R&S to my neighbors.

Jonathan does!!! 1) I had already been through this process with another company so I understood the grade of springs and realized that the ones that Jonathan installed were two grades higher yet the price he charged me was less than they did as was the service not to mention the fact that I had to make an appointment two weeks in advance with these guys and Jonathan skipped in and out for me. 2) Jonathan didn't try to upsell me at all I actually asked him about replacing the opener and two bent pieces of track. He fixed the bent pieces of track and told me that my opener would probably be good for another 20 years so he didn't try to upsell me anything. He wouldn't even let me pay for his In-N-Out Burger. 3) I really enjoy supporting family owned businesses and the fact that he had his son with him and that he was showing him the ropes just resonates with me. I was informed of a price around $200-300 for single or both springs, plus labor (which many places would not provide unless I had them come out first). It seems like the price could vary depending on the garage door style, size, and weight. Also, another place had quoted me $485 right off the bat therefore this was the best option so far. They let me know that the technician would have all the necessary parts and tools for whatever option I go with (very convenient). Technician Sam called me to notify he was on the way and when he arrived outside. Upon arrival, he inspected our garage and said it would be more than quoted since I had a heavy door (~$400-500). He provided us with two different priced options, differing in expected lifespan and labor (~$100) warranties. The job was estimated to take around 30 mins, depending on if there was complications with the existing parts. Sam was very professional and knowledgeable with all the mechanics and components. He let us know more about what we had installed and what could potentially fail or cause us issues in the future. He also gave us recommendations on how to properly maintain the garage door to prolong it's functionality and life. After we made our choice, he began working right away. During this time, he came to get our attention and let us know that the bearings needed to be replaced soon and we just asked him to do them since it was already disassembled and the labor cost was flat rate. It all ended up taking closer to an hour, and despite the higher than anticipated expense... we felt very assured and satisfied with the outcome we received. We love supporting family owned businesses, especially when they provide great quality and service! Highly recommend.

I have all of the measurements (because the opening hasn't been made yet and is being made to my specs) but could provide all of the info they would need to come to the site for, and it was just completely unnecessary. They were pretty pushy and basically didn't have any answers. I would ask them, then they would have to ask someone else? You don't know how much your services cost? After they finally gave me a quote, I asked them to also provide pricing for just the door with installation, no opener, and they told me that if I had anymore questions then I needed to call. Simple question, simple answer. Also, why would you have people responding bro Yelp messages that don't know how to provide rough estimates?
