Door Pros @ San Rafael installed a Clopay Modern Steel Door and it looks great! I would love to leave you a 5-star Yelp Review, but I think waiting nearly 4-months for installation is a little too much. Lots of delays and "finger pointing." The last story I heard was the Clopay factory in Ohio shipped my original door to the wrong place, and Door Pros had to get a rush replacement. So finally the two-man crew shows up and installed my door. This is my very first garage door I bought, so I watched the process. Very efficient, and their experience shows in how smooth the install process was. My old "retro" door weighed about 400-lbs, but they were able to remove it and haul it away. BTW, Nate was a great salesman. He didn't upsell the most expensive door in the catalog. He listened to what I ideally wanted. I wanted something new and modern. Something that would add value to my home. I got a Clopay Modern Steel Door with windows in chocolate brown, stucco texture. Included: LiftMaster opener, mailslot and safety latch. Door Pros Garage Door Co. 2023 we purchased a very expensive wood garage door from Door Pros. Bobby was the salesmen in San Rafael. I should have ran once I met Bobby. The kind of guy that promises you the best in the world. Well when they delivered the door to install it the door was still wet from the stainer Door Pros had stain it. They swore it would be fine! Fast forward to 2026. I have had Door Pros out over 20 times to try and get the door properly working but every Tom, Dick, and Harry (smokers who smelled like a tobacco factory) they sent must have never been to garage door repair school. Joe the lead technician in the beginning told us the door needed to be taken off and sheetrock cut out so the door would run properly. The next Joe Schmoooo told us something different. So every guy that came out in 3 years had a different story. The last guy 2 months ago said it was installed wrong and he would have the owner call me next week but NEVER a call back. I even spoke with Josh the owner a few years ago and he said they would make it good. We finally said GOOD RIDDANCE to Door Pros. They aren't Pros at all. Just a company that gives a lot of talk and gives you no action. We called another company in SF and in once visit they told us Door Pros had installed the whole door wrong. Wrong springs, bend rails, etc. etc. The door after one visit works beautifully. So stay away from Door Pros. Listen to your gut. We had "Door Pros (Justin/Josh)" replace our old garage door about 6yrs ago. Yesterday (Sun, 1/25/26) we had an uneven load issue resulting in the improper tension and the two end lift cables misaligning the door so I frantically called and requested service via their online tool. Josh got back to me within a half hour asking for photos and descriptions to aid in resolution which I provided. Amazingly Josh scheduled their technician Matt for an appointment the next morning (Monday)..! Well Matt was incredibly understanding and quickly assessed the series of tasks to release the door, adjust the spring/torsion and accommodate for the slightly uneven driveway to ensure an even bottom seal. Further, Matt re-aligned the tracks, bracing, inspected and lubricated the rollers. It's still boggling to me that Matt was able to accomplish this repair in less than an hour.! I wish I could give Matt and "Door Pros" 10 stars instead of just 5. I contacted the company and finally got someone to pick up the phone, the person answered asked me to send photos of the door to an email address. I sent the photos and waited, nothing happened. No email acknowledgment and no phone calls. I called back and they said that the project management team would get back to me. But nothing happened again. Tried very long to not leave this type of review, but the lack of customer service is unacceptable and i think others should be aware of the pre and post service issues with door pros. I am less concerned about the fact that they initially forgot to order my door, i had to circumvent them and reach out to the door manufacturer to get the true story. They just did not order my door, but yet took my money. The issue that i am having and that i find unacceptable (as if the first one wasnt unacceptable) is the post service support, they do not return phone calls, and i really mean this, i have been trying to get resolution to my warranty door issue for over 6 months, mostly due to lack of response (been calling every two weeks for the last 6 months). I was given the first excuse about my door pros contact being not good at her job and being let go, but now that i have another person, Laura, she never calls me back, always on the phone when i call, I leave messages and told she will call back, but I have never received any follow up. I was told by another person that looks at my file that they claim the manufacturer has denied the warranty claim and door pros is looking further into it. Due to the lack of response, I then again reach out to the door manufacturer to find out what is going on their end, since i was told that door pros reached out to the door manufacturer and they denied the warranty claim, the manufacturer said they have no record of door pros reaching out at all, so now they are essentially lying to me again. In fact, based on the issue i am having paint scratching off the door, it seems to be more of a faulty install, more than a faulty door. Initially door pros said that the door did not come painted and tried to say i painted it (i have proof on the invoice the door came in that color), then they said that it looks like that i applied some type of chemical to the door causing the paint to come off, despite if you look at it, it literally look like the paint is being scraped off, meaning a faulty install. Suffice to say extremely frustrated with this company, i would tread very lightly if considering them for your garage door needs and hopefully you dont need after warranty support, because its not good at all. read more

This morning as I prepared to drive our for some errands, as I was waiting for the garage door to finish closing, I noticed that it only went down halfway and then would reverse to open again. I contacted Door Pros to see if I could get a consultation. Instead of doing a consultation for repairs, they were able to sent someone out right away, in fact, they came in about 10 minutes after my call. They were able to replace the cables on both sides of the door and they checked all of the other bolts on the door and tightened them.
