So those two needed a "rebuild," but our bay windows were fine with a less expensive "replace." Once I signed the contract, the next person to come out was Kevin and he took very specific measurements and also rang with credibility. I was pleased to learn that many of the Window Guild employees have been with them a long time, which speaks well of the organization even if it was sold once. On install day, some new guys came out to get started, and they were also pleasant and professional. Kevin came out a few hours later to provide senior supervision, so this was not at all like having the senior guy sell the work but have nothing to do with getting it done. As it turned out, they needed a second day because we didn't know if my second rebuild was going to need some dryrot work (because it had been leaking) and they didn't want to start that late in the day. They came back in a week and it was just fine. The windows are beautiful to look through and we can already tell they are so much better insulated than our old ones. They are Milgard windows and come with their lifetime warranty, which is better than what Andersen Windows gave us when we used them for other ones.

I originally had another garage door company come out, but the experience didn't feel right, so I asked them to leave before any work was completed. I then called Anchor Garage Service, and I'm glad I did. Will put the garage door back together, replaced the broken spring, and performed a complete service on the entire system. He lubricated all the moving parts, tightened loose hardware, tested the safety features, and made sure the door was properly balanced and operating smoothly. I would also like to mention that Will had a very professional and clean appearance. This is very reassuring when you are letting someone perform work inside of your home. What really stood out was that he took the time to explain everything he was doing, showed me how the safety features work, and even gave me tips on how to maintain the door myself. William with Anchor Garage Service did an outstanding job upgrading our garage. He removed our old Genie opener and installed two jackshaft openers with automatic locks, a wireless keypad, and MyQ smart control. He also replaced the bottom weather seal and all stop molding, leaving the garage much better sealed. The installation required adding new electrical outlets in the attic to power the openers, and everything was completed with great professionalism and attention to detail. The side-mounted openers freed up significant overhead space, giving us more storage and a cleaner look. The doors are quieter, operate smoothly, and the automatic locks add extra security. Very Disappointing Experience with Ace Door Repair…read more We previously used Ace Door Repair through Old Republic Home Protection and had an okay experience, but this time was completely different. Our garage door came off the rollers and would not close, and the issue also damaged the wooden housing. Ace came out and told us that the repair was not covered by our home warranty. Since then, the experience has been extremely frustrating. They told us they had ordered a replacement panel and would return to complete the repair. I took an entire day off work for the scheduled appointment, only to have them not show up and not call. After trying to reach them, I was eventually told the part had been ordered--but it turns out the part was never ordered at all. What is most disappointing is the complete lack of communication and follow-through. If you make an appointment and tell a customer a part has been ordered, you should honor that commitment or at the very least communicate when something changes. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Ace Door Repair. They did not stand behind their work, failed to communicate, and wasted an entire day of my time.

I really appreciated that he answered his phone, charged a fair price, and was able to come out the same day to make the repair. He also discovered that the previous company had installed a bar directly onto the garage door, putting unnecessary weight and stress on it. Juan corrected the problem by installing a proper bracket that relieved that burden. Most importantly, he saved my family the major inconvenience and expense of having to take Ubers to work. Late in the afternoon a loud bang was heard coming from the garage, and then the garage wouldn't…read moreopen. Obviously a spring failure. Several local garage door companies were called. The existing springs were made by Wayne Dalton, and rather than staying with an internal spring, the standard exterior springs were suggested. Scott gave me all the needed details, was very prompt the next morning, and the new springs and other hardware was installed. Scott was done in less than 90 minutes. He was friendly, provided great service and had a fast response. Highly recommend.
