Ms. Trinh is an absolute gem. She's always so very kind and professional. I've had multiple pieces altered by her, one I needed quickly and one within a month. She was able to have it finished exactly when promised and when I needed them. She works very quickly to deliver an excellent end product. I only take my garments to her and would recommend her 100% Last year I took my wedding dress to her with an extremely long train and a lot of lace. Ms. Trinh worked her butt off on the bustle and removing the lace and reapplying. She's also shortened some sleeves on my partners suits. She's a professional, so I listen to everything she says. I was happy with the alterations done by Trinh on my bridesmaid gown. I needed the spaghetti straps shortened and thought I might also need it hemmed and the bust taken in. Trinh talked me out of everything except the straps, showing me that the dress would fit properly once that simple fix was finished. I appreciated that she wanted to save me money rather than upsell extra work. The dress fit well when I picked it up a month later; not perfect, as the straps weren't as short as I had anticipated and still felt a tad loose, but it looked great for the wedding. I dropped a dress for my wedding (not wedding dress) off here a month before my wedding. The owner was rude about the amount of time I was giving them for basic and minimal alterations despite saying they do same day alterations on their website. I paid in cash that day and took my ticket. When I returned she claimed I did not and would not give me my dress until I returned with cash because of course they don't take cards. This was for my wedding so I had no choice but to go and get 70 dollars in cash again to pay her. Do not waste your time here. I am getting married so I had to make sure that my garment was in the hands of someone that was familiar with Vietnamese formal wear. I found Trinh's Alterations through Yelp and I'm so glad that I did. She took in my ao dai, which was too big. She also shortened up the sleeves. What was impressive was that the hand stitched buttons had to be removed carefully and reattached after the sides were taken in. She undid the waist and back lace and was able to tighten it all back together to fit me. On my end, it couldn't have been an easier process- go to her shop during open hours, try on the dress for her, talk through the adjustments to make, give her a due date, and that's it!
