HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I needed a place to get my disposable cameras developed. I dropped 4 cameras off at 5:15pm today. Everyone was so kind there and they took the film and I gave my email and asked for the digital photos. They said I'd get a link when ready, I was SHOCKED to get an email at 9pm the same night with all 100+ of my photos. Insanely quick and lovely service I cannot recommend enough!! read more

Really great for film development!! Trilogy is incredible fast, did a great job, good prices. Totally recommend :))

Brought in a print to be copied, and was told it would be 2-3 days. They called 24 hours later and said the copies were ready. They look fantastic! Just as good as, if not better than, the original. The price was extremely reasonable, a great value for the quick service and quality product. read more

Amazing & fast service. The owner was so sweet and stayed open for me when the subway was delayed and I was running late! Not only were they kind, they got us the photos super fast read more

The nicest owners! This place is my go to for getting my film developed. They're the fastest in the city!

Mark is amazing - got my developed photos to me in a day! Highly recommend for anyone looking for affordable developing.

My go-to spot for developing film in NYC!!! They always get it to me the same day without fail

Great location to develop your film. Friendly and helpful staff. The picture wall will give you a glimpse of the history of the business.

The owner looked at my old Nikon film camera that I thought was broken for free. He suggested a quick fix I could do on my own so I didn't have to pay anything. He was so nice that I went back later with my film and they emailed it to me three hours later. I will be going here with all my film from now on! Glad to have found this gem! read more

7pm close except Friday at 6pm. Great processing and wonderful customer service. Thank you! read more

BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS!! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I went to this place to get my passport photo printed. I didn't realize that the photos were cut unevenly and didnt match the dimensions until I got home. I went the next day to show them and the guy who works there(NOT wearing a mask btw) prints out a new one and cuts it uneven again! I showed him how uneven it is and he just yells at me "It's not!!!I've been doing this for 40 years! They will accept it!" Guy can't even own up that he did a shitty job! Very UNPROFESSIONAL! For $35 for 4pcs of passport photo, yes I want it cut evenly!! DONT GO HERE!! read more

Like others I came here for passport photos. They know their dimensions and all the requirements for non-US passports, but talk about jacked up pricing based on the sole reason that you're getting a non-US passport photo or baby passport photos. It's essentially the same process, printed to the same paper just trimmed to a different size. I suppose they have to pay for rent somehow seeing as print photography is probably much rarer these days with everything being digital and all the online print services. Giving a glance over the reviews, I think that's exactly it. Most of the traffic to this place is for passport photos. They get the job done. read more

Great Place to get your photos developed! Less expensive then a lot of other places and got them back in the same day I dropped them off. Definitely Recommend. read more

They were very welcoming and accommodating. I went to have photos taken for my passport, the service was professional and very quick. Took about 10 minutes and the price is good. read more

Such a fast turnaround! I came in Saturday early afternoon and they had my disposable film developed and in my inbox by 4pm. Could not recommend more! read more

Highly recommend going here to get your film cameras developed! Quick turn around and easily receive the photos in a zip file on your email. The people working are super nice as well! read more

I was under high impression after I visited this salon last winter. And this is not only due to the fact that the photos for the passport were done efficiently, quickly and professionally. The atmosphere itself, the attitude towards the client, the creative approach and the delightful sense of humor are encouraging. This is perhaps the best photo studio in the area...and maybe in the entire NYC. Without a doubt, I will come there again and boldly recommend it to everyone! read more

Mark from Trilogy is great! He completely surpassed my expectations for timeliness and quality. I highly recommend Trilogy for their value. I got a fairly large print framed and Mark was extremely helpful in choosing frame/matting/etc. He has a really great eye for layouts and colors! Again- I am very happy with the end result! Thanks again! read more

Great service and they new exactly what they were doing when they took my passport photo. AND they made me look good, too. A great place for speedy and artful service. I strongly recommend! read more

Yeah, I'd go here again. IF I wanted to get shitty overpriced mistreatment from an angry misogynistic troll. But basically, this guy charges a five dollar "deposit" for every roll of film he develops, but then claims that the picture disc is free? Baloney. He's incompetent and unwilling to admit to mistakes. He talks down to his customers, and the inside of his store is reminiscent of the Unibomber's shack. This man single-handedly makes a legitimate case for the ease of digital film and I will NEVER let this clown develop my film again. read more

Amazing service! Always quick development of film within the day never had it done faster for such a low rate. Highly highly recommend!

Very friendly people, crowded shop. The passport pics took 5 to 10 minutes. Would return.

Fantastic passport photos! I walked in at lunch and was promptly greeted by the owner. I voiced my dismay with quick, shoddy drugstore passport pictures and he assured me that he would do better. He had professional studio lighting, a better camera rig than the drugstore and would happily take multiple shots to obtain a good pic, as many as were needed. He posed and adjusted my head, then tidied my bangs (which hang over my eyes) so that my photo wouldn't be rejected on account of my face being obstructed. He even handed me a mirror so that I could see how I looked before snapping the photos. I took a bunch of shots and selected a lovely one. He was very patient. My photo was developed, printed and trimmed to exact passport standards in 10 minutes. $16 for excellent service and a photo that I'm not embarrassed to whip out at customs. read more

I went to Trilogy as there were good reviews. I thought that the bad review left by Chelsea A, was maybe a competitor or an angry person. I do confirm that the staff is rude and very unwelcoming. The place is not very clean and seems quite run down. Given the service, we decided to leave after a few minutes in there. I do not recommend going there. read more

I've tried to support this business because I try to give my dollars to local, small businesses. From now on, I will be ordering my prints online or supporting another, less convenient establishment. I've given Trilogy the benefit of the doubt one too many times and he has proven that he is not only horribly rude, but incompetent to boot. The first time I was here, I had some cheap disposable cameras from my wedding. Him: Where did you get these? Me: Ebay. Him: How much were they? Me: I don't know. Him: Well that's strange. Usually when you buy something, you know how much it costs. Me: Well you know, they were for a wedding. I bought a lot of stuff and I don't remember how much each thing cost. Then he lectured me on how they weren't good quality, started a speech about ISOs and such and finally I cut him off. I told him they were just for fun, that I'm a professional photographer, and that I know all of these things and that I simply want the film developed. (The pictures were just fine, by the way.) Last night, I took an SD card with two TIFF images that were professionally re-sized and triple checked, before my very eyes, on Photoshop. They are 11 x 17. The woman (his wife, I presume) put the card in the computer. Then she left. He took my money, and then told me that the files are 11 x 14 1/2. What? I said that it really concerned me and he suggested that it would be good for him to call, if they were not in fact 11 x 17, so I could let them know whether or not to print them. Since the woman left, he could not check. Apparently he does not know how. He asked if I needed frames THREE TIMES. I understand the up-sell, but once is sufficient. He did manage to call. (But he is always SO nasty, dealing with him is awful.) Now he claims that the files are "precisely 11x 15". Then he tried to start an argument with me. Ok, buddy. Now I'll be late for my after work plans so I can go obtain a refund and I'm stressed on getting these prints made since I spent two days dealing with a jerk who can't manage to do his job. UPDATE: I was able to get the prints made at another local photo lab for a third of the price. When I had gone back to get my refund, the guy was sweet as pie and had printed my photos smaller "because I'm a regular customer". He did a lot of mumbling about how, in order to print the size I wanted, he was going to have to crop this or that and tried to explain how I re-sized the photos "incorrectly". Interestingly enough, upon checking those files in Photoshop once again, they were absolutely no doubt 11 x 17 AND there was no issue getting them printed as such at another establishment. Why, you may ask? Well, because they were the correct size all along. And yes, as the other reviews discuss, he does offer a "free" CD disc, but requires a $5 "deposit on each roll of film. The 11 x 17 prints I will not be paying for were overpriced too. Sad to say, I could have had them printed online for half the price. I shouldn't have bothered returning after my first miserable experience, but I mistakenly gave him a second chance because I've done customer service and I know it can be draining. Now, it is clear that he is just not a professional nor does he have the ability to act it. I mean really, printing an 11 x 17 is not that hard if you're a "photo lab". The store is cluttered, dirty looking, and long overdue for a makeover. The window displays look like they were done in the 70s and so do the creepy prints they have up as samples. Paint on the shelves in chipping, badly. The prices on merchandise are all handwritten and the selection is so-so. Batteries are less expensive than in drug stores and there are some decent frames, but the attitude is not worth the money you'll be saving. Maybe it's an issue with the block? I've noticed several businesses, such as the beauty store and the now out-of-business nail salon, are similarly challenged in the customer service department. read more

Never visit this place unless you want to face terrible service and huge price. Ive never seen a passport photo for $90 for 2 person!!! The photos were of terrible quality and I really regretted that I did not take a photo in the pharmacy. It's a pity that such a business exists. read more

I have been going here for over 10 years and have always had a pleasant experience. From help with Passport photos, to printing business signs, to developing film- I was able to get all of these done here in a quick and efficient manner! Honestly, I wouldn't know where else to go. Mark knows his trade and has been a business owner for many years. Mark and his wife have become very friendly and I'm glad to see boutique businesses still around in a neighborhood that lacks paper/ photo good locations. The location is conveniently located on Chambers Street- Easy to get to on any express subway line, from the 1,2,3 to the 4,5,6! read more

Mark is a very kind soul. This review is about 10 years overdue, so I'm happy to see he's still there. Years ago I lost my purse and all it's contents in New York, and stopped at this location to get new passport photos to take to the Canadian consulate. He was so kind and generous, leaving with me a wonderful impression of the city. I've kept his business card all these years to remind me of his kindness. read more

This is a great spot in Tribeca for all kinds of things. Framing, digital, you name it. The very nice owner ripped an old video from a CD and then converted it to a file I could upload to YouTube. He did it in a few hours and at minimum cost. Really beat my expectations. read more

Mark and the team at Trilogy photo is fantastic. I use their photo developing services at least once a week for 35mm film and I always receive high quality scans of my prints within a few hours. Mark has helped me to better understand how to use my camera, gives me advice on what film to purchase and helped me pick a fantastic flash attachment for my Canon AE-1. I have worked with a number of NYC film development locations but nothing compares to the service and quality at Trilogy photo! read more

Bravo to Mark and his staff in his quick turnaround time in printing, matting and professionally framing 8 photos. Will continue to use his services. Highly recommended! read more
