Two awful experiences at Bleecker Digital. I went in last week with my photographer friend to get her film developed-- the worker was so condescending and told my friend that "she didn't need what she was asking for" without even inquiring about her work. The worker was short with us and did not want to help. When I went in later to pick up my prints, they could not locate my photos and gaslit me by saying I never ordered prints when I definitely did. They are rude to customers when they are incompetent. Also- incredibly overpriced and not at all worth it for the quality and time it takes to develop. You can get more bang for your buck nearby. Don't waste your time or money going here read more

This family-owned business is hands down the best film photo lab in NYC. I've been coming here for over five years to have my film developed and scanned, and every visit has been consistently excellent. From the moment I walk in the door, I feel genuinely welcomed. On my most recent visit, I had the chance to speak with the owner, Nisha, who couldn't have been kinder or more warm. She even surprised me with a delicious bottle of wine as a thank-you for being a long-time customer, which honestly says everything about how much they value the people who support them. Their turnaround time is always fast, and I love that they use WeTransfer to deliver scans directly to my email. The quality of their work is remarkable, and I truly can't imagine trusting my film to any other lab. Thank you, Bleeker Digital Solutions, and congratulations on 26 years in business. Well deserved. read more

This is one of the few true pro-level film labs left in the city, and they've consistently delivered great results with both my C-41 and E-6 rolls. The owners are wonderful to work with, and they've even turned around rush jobs when I needed them. Absolutely worth recommending. They also handle specialty scans, including wide 35mm panoramas from cameras like the Hasselblad XPan. read more

My go to spot in the city for film development. I have always received my digital scans on time and the quality is amazing. I've gone somewhere else only once and regretted it! read more

8 years in the city and this is the only place I will bring my film! The quality is unmatched and the service is excellent, shout out to Nisha. So easy to recieve digitally as well. Prices are much better than others in the area for what you get. Plus great selection of film (the good stuff like portra etc., but also some more interesting options!) read more

I've been bringing my 35 mm film to Bleeker Digital Solutions for the past six years or so. They really care about how your photos turn out whether you're a professional or a hobbyist! Yes, film is more expensive now but I wouldn't trust getting my photos developed with anyone else. Their prints and scans are great quality and they email the digital link very quickly. The owners are wonderful and I'm happy to support a small business like this one. read more

I took a chance and sent film to this lab hearing good things and what they show on their instagram. I sent an order of 25 rolls and I regret this whole heartedly. I spent almost 1000 dollars here. I received the scans back with wildly different results for the same scene exposed properly. The white balance was all over the place for pictures shot seconds apart in the same spot. I thought maybe they set their scanner to auto. However their chemical was depleted and had cross processed looking images and purple hues. They don't know what a silhouette shot is and made images completely uneditable by brightening the image beyond its limit. All my medium format shots had light leaks through them on 2 different cameras that have been fully CLAd. They continued to tell me that they have a light leaks when I brought it up. I played devils advocate and I sent 2 rolls back to my local lab the next week and came back with no leaks whatsoever. They offered to rescan single rolls but not fix anything else. I'll never come back to this lab nor would I recommend it in any professional capacity. This is strictly an amateur lab. I've seen good things come from here but looks like it was just a fluke. I tried getting new scans locally but the development of the film is the real problem. Depleted chemical is as bad as it gets. read more

Do NOT go here for a passport picture. Photographer is extremely, extremely rude. Such a shame because they develop good film.

Best film lab in the whole east coast. Level of professionalism, and careful care with your film is unmatched. You couldn't find this customer service anywhere else from NY TO MIAMI! Also amazing with framing prints, making prints and of course developing and scanning film! They also have 120 & 35mm film for any last minute needs. read more

Unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing. I found Anil Kumar, the owner, to be unprofessional and dismissive from the start. His tone was demanding, and I felt spoken down to rather than treated respectfully as a customer. After doing some research, I learned he has owned this business for 38 years, which made the lack of professionalism even more surprising. The pricing also raised concerns. The costs were very high, and the math did not seem to add up. It felt as though some customers are being overcharged. I also noticed inconsistent service--one individual regularly drops off large amounts of film and receives it almost immediately, while others wait an excessive amount of time, even when their orders appear to be ready. That said, the staff members working here are clearly hardworking, and the cashier was kind and respectful. I appreciate the effort of the employees and do not fault them. While this place benefits from its tourist location and social media attention, my personal experience did not reflect the hype. With improved professionalism, fair pricing, and more consistent turnaround times, this business could be much better. As it stands, I would rate it 2/5. read more

I always make it a point to bring my film in physically since I love chatting with everyone behind the counter. I cannot say enough good about this business, and how consistent they are. I typically send my film in for digital scans only and to always get my scans back two days later. Everything about this business is great, I would strongly recommend them. read more

I have been a loyal customer here for many years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I can always trust them to do a beautiful job developing my film and preserving my memories. I've tried other places in Manhattan and the prints at Bleeker digital are exceptional. Not only do I love the quality of their work, and how efficient they are, but I genuinely enjoy the warmth of this family-run business. Supporting small businesses like this keep the character of the city alive. read more

Wishing this family-owned lab a Happy 25th Anniversary!! I've been coming to get my photos developed at Bleeker Digital solutions for 6 years now, ever since Covid, when they were one of the only places open! I continue to make the commute from Queens into the city just to get my photos developed by them. They are simply the best! The owners are always so kind and helpful! The quality of the photos, affordability and quickness in which they are able to get them back to me is also a major factor on why I will keep coming back for years to come! If you're looking for somewhere to get your disposable cameras developed, I highly recommend this place! read more

I had a great first experience with Bleeker! I've been using disposable cameras over the past few months and needed to get them developed. After reading reviews, it seemed like coming here would be faster and yield better results than dropping my cameras at a CVS or Walgreens. The reviews were right! I dropped my cameras off on Monday and got my photos emailed to me by Wednesday afternoon, just as they promised! You can also pay extra for the film and print copies, which I decided to do. The development quality speaks for itself! You can tell they do a great job, I'm glad I didn't chance it by going to a CVS or Walgreens. One note - the store is tiny and has two registers. Because of this, two customers are allowed in the store at a time. Both times I visited this week there were short lines, so just be prepared for the possibility of that! read more

It's hard to find a friendly mom and pop business of any type in NYC that does outstanding professional work, but to find a film processing place like that is near impossible. Bleeker Digital Solutions always delivers. They're one of the few places that will develop E6 processing for your slide film and will also scan and email you your files if you'd like. I've been going to them for years and have never been disappointed. read more

Bleeker street Digital Solutions beats all other photo shops in the area! Such speedy photo processing!! It was $38 to develop two disposable cameras of 27 photos each with emailed scans - which is a bit more than what I'm used to in Brooklyn but it's a prime location and they do things so fast. Big respect! read more

Bleeker is a family-run lab that I've been using for film development now for 10 years. Many photographers in this city consider them family. They are the nicest people in the business. I've used many film labs in NYC and Bleeker Digital really is the best. Their development and scans are amazing and consistent. The quality of their TIFF scans are excellent! They are a family-owned business and extremely helpful and knowledgeable with all my questions. Whenever I am there they are always courteous and professional. I am a fitness and fashion photographer and I rely on them for my business. They make me feel at home and NYC is lucky to have them. read more

Picked up my developed film and upon reviewing at home I noticed that they missed a scan so I brought back the negatives showing which one exactly was missed. They claimed they need the envelope because it had pertinent information on it. Instead of apologizing and trying to rectify the situation immediately they made it difficult for me and said to pick it up again the next day. It would've appreciated if they fixed it right then and there versus making me come back the next day. Waste of my time. read more

Been going here since I moved to lower Manhattan 5 years ago - they do an amazing job and are always quick and reliable.

Bleeker is a family-run business that is trusted by many professional photographers for developing, scanning and printing their work. If you are into film photography, there is no better place in the city for taking care of your processing needs. The service is honest and friendly, and they generally accommodate your requests for faster processing with a smile. The prices are on the middle to higher end relative to other labs, but the quality of their services is unquestionably the best. I have not been doing much on film lately but whether it is 35 or 120 film, I will be sure to return to Bleeker. read more

Absolutely don't go here unless u are desperate. way to expensive. cheaper places near by in Chinatown for much better prices.

Thank you to Bleeker Digital for giving me the best scans the city has to offer! I had tried a few other places and none of them even came close to the level of quality, care, and friendliness found in your store. Your employees have shown me where I went wrong, have helped my insane requests, and made me feel like a professional photographer. Anytime I see someone I know who is interested in getting film, one of the things I need to tell them is to get their film scanned at Bleeker Digital on 85 Kenmare St. read more

The family & team at Bleeker Digital are simply the best at what they do. I had several negative... no pun intended... experiences at other labs throughout the city from processing to customer service and the folks at Bleeker provide great customer service, professional and trustworthy processing and scanning across the board. If you're a film shooter, professional or hobbyist, it's so crucially important to be able to trust your film lab. The things you create are completely in their hands. Bleeker has never let me down. They've been my choice lab for two years so far, hundreds of rolls, and hopefully thousands more. Highly recommended! read more

Please note website indicates this business can perform baby passports photos, even references specific photo requirements for babies less than 6 months. However, to be clear the business is only capable of/willing to photograph babies who can sit up independently (therefore at earliest 6-9 months), not all babies. I was informed this misunderstanding was my own fault for not calling to clarify what was advertised on their website, rather than their misleading reporting of their own services. Please modify your website so that it accurately indicates what services you are capable of/comfortable performing as a customer should not have to call in order to confirm what is reported as possible is in fact true before patronizing your business. Really disappointing customer service and overall experience. read more

I have been shooting film for almost 2 decades, but had shied away from color for a while after getting burned one too many times by labs scratching my negatives or poorly developing them. I discovered Bleeker about 2 years ago and gave them a shot and am happy to say that my photos turn out beautifully developed, and negatives intact (no scratches!) every time. I've developed dozens of rolls with them since. I recommend them to anyone looking to get film developed whether they're just starting out or a professional who needs a new spot. read more

I have been going to Bleeker Digital Solutions since it was on Bleeker Street in the 90s. As a kid, I would go get my passport pictures done there then get free wonton strips from the Chinese spot next door while I waited for the pictures to develop. I started getting into photography of my own at around 9 years old, and I've developed and printed around 110 rolls with them through the years (I'm currently archiving my pictures, which is why I know that number). I am endlessly grateful that Bleeker Digital has been my go-to for the bulk of my photographic needs. During university, I searched for a photo shop to temporarily replace Bleeker Digital, and shop after shop delivered subpar service (the only shop w similar quality charged nearly $50 to print and develop a roll). I am not sure if there is a dearth of quality photo services in the entire city of Montreal, or if I had just gotten used to the high standards of Bleeker Digital - instinct tells me it might be the latter. Now that I am dusting off boxes and boxes of photographs and negatives, I just want to say THANK YOU to Bleeker Digital for taking care of my work when I didn't even realize I needed to. All of my negatives are in pristine condition. My specifications of single print, matte, 5x7 have never once been misunderstood. My negative sheets from days where I forayed into developing on my own are beautiful. Also, Neil and his wife are so sweet! I don't know the guys name who started working w them around 2010-ish, but he is great too (and he has amazing handwriting, haha). You guys are the best!! THANK YOU!! Btw - they typically do not print photos that are super, super dark, or the half-photos that sometimes happen at the beginning of a roll. You just need to ask them to print all, and they will. read more
