I went to Triangle Visions for the first time today to get my annual eye exam. I'm always a little nervous for any kind of check-up, so today was no different. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the ladies sitting at the front desk. They were super friendly and told me exactly what paperwork I needed to fill out. Then, I was called to the back to get the pressures of my eyes, some photographs, etc. before the actual doctor saw me to do my exam. I met with Dr. Anthony Clark today and he made my whole experience very comfortable. I told him about how I graduated from UNC and he even cracked a joke about the rivalry between UNC and NC State since he went to NC State. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions thoroughly. When he was explaining to me about which contact lenses he wanted me to have, what he thought were best for my eyes, etc. he seemed VERY concern for me and my eye health, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Dr. Clark! I had to kick it down a star for the eyeglass selection. There wasn't a whole lot of frames to choose from and also, most of them were on the expensive side. The frames specialist said to me that there were frames from $100 to $400 and all I could think was, "Where are the $100 frames? Because all I see are the ones that are $250 and above." Overall, great experience. Would definitely recommend to others and will continue to go here for my eye exams. read more

Just finished up an appointment about 30 minutes ago and was disappointed in how charges were handled, especially for patients paying out of pocket. I will say that the staff is professional, courteous and services rendered were thorough. Facilities were well maintained and comfortable. However.... I was quoted $60-$90 for a contact lens fitting and was handed a bill for $231.00 at the end of the visit..without a single flinch. I was advised on only one single charge outside of the original quote and that was $39.00 for a eye photo, which I agreed to, and which was fair. Naturally, when dealing with patients who are paying out-of-pocket,I think its advisable to be fully clear on what you are charging them. I still would have paid, but feel disappointed that cost of services were not communicated in an upfront, and straightforward manner. This leaves the client feeling slighted. I could deal with waiting in a room for 35+ minutes, but find both hidden charges (if I wasn't advised on it, it's hidden!) and long waiting times unacceptable. Though this probably doesn't represent the majority of visits (if i paid with insurance, who cares?) I definitely would advise anyone paying out of pocket to be very careful. Wait times were quite long, and, though I feel like they are serious about patient care overall, I probably would not return here -especially if you've got somewhere to be! read more

My family and I have been coming to this place for years. Dr. Glupker is extremely friendly and personable. Their equipment is up to date, and their office is inviting. Help yourself to a cup of coffee in their Keurig, or perhaps a piece of candy. Nice! Great selection of glasses. Very fast turnaround. No complaints! read more

My actual exam was wonderful but Triangle Visions' prices on glasses and lenses are exorbitant. The quotes the eye wear assistant gave me included $130 lens upgrades which she did not divulge until I asked why the lenses were ~$300. Pretty shady. I would bet she works on a commission. I have been going to Triangle Visions for years, and I have always been extremely happy with the doctors and staff.

Front desk reception is a huge make or break for me, and for some reason, optometrists often flunk this one, in my experience. I saw Dr. Clark in middle school and high school, and after returning to RDU after a few years on the West Coast, I was hoping to come back here. I spent an hour trying to get through to someone at the front desk to make an initial appointment, to no avail. The one time I did get through, the woman who was going to help me was having computer problems, and transferred me to another line, which eventually went to voicemail. I found this disappointing, and because I was under a time crunch to make an appointment, I ended up going with a different provider. read more

I have been going to TVO for about 20 years and love it. I see Dr. Clark and he is extremely thorough and takes time to answer all my questions. He uses up-to-date equipment and so all his testing is state of the art. With everyone being in such a hurry today, it is nice to go to a doctor that spends that little extra time with you to put any fears to rest and help you. The staff at TVO has always been extremely helpful and courteous. I have never had to wait long to be seen, tested or examined at TVO. TVO is great about reminding you of your appointments and will work with you if you have a problem with schedules. The people that have helped me in choosing new frames were also great..... and patient as I must have tried on half of their frames before choosing the ones I now wear and love. It's difficult to rate the quality of the Doctors, because making a routine appointment at this business seems next to impossible. To start with, I called to make an appointment 2 weeks ago and was immediately put on hold (the automated message said something like "our associates are busy right now, but will be with your shortly"). After holding for over 10 minutes, the call disconnected. Thinking it might be easier to request an appointment online, I clicked on their "request appointment" button on the website and filled out the necessary information. After waiting a week and not receiving a response, I tried calling again yesterday. Luckily, I was able to connect with a very nice, live person and was well on my way to making an appointment. Unfortunately, in the middle of the call, I was suddenly put on hold with no explanation. Needless to say, I'm in search of another eyecare option. read more

We've been going here since 2005 and our family is happy. Good office, high quality care, great doctors (we've seen 2 of the 3). Highly recommended. We also had our 2-year-old's eye checked out and they did an excellent job. Accepts VSP insurance which is great for us. read more

I arrived for my 9am appointment at 8:40am. I wasn't seen until 9:30am. Then the doctor proceeded to "hard sell" me on buying contact lenses from him. After my fitting, his front desk staff assured me that they would be calling the next day to schedule a follow-up appointment... four days later, they've still never called. Terrible customer service. Don't bother going here unless you're more interested in a sales pitch than medical treatment. read more

Dr. Beyer is wonderful. He really makes you feel welcome - he greets you with a handshake, provides a ton of information about your particular situation and never seems rushed. I really appreciate all the time he takes with me and I really feel like a valued patient, which is increasingly rare. I never have to wait very long and everyone in the office is very friendly. I have been a patient of Dr. Anthony Clark for 18 years (I'm 41) and he is the best Optometrist in this area of North Carolina!!!! I had an appt. last Thursday and my sister was having some trouble with her eyes and was in pain. I called them on Wednesday asked if she could have my appt. and I would take her July 17 appt. NO PROBLEM!!!!! During the examination, he was thorough as always and he performed all kinds of tests on her that the 4 previous optometrists did not bother to perform on her when she visited. He has a great sense of humor, wonderful "bed side/chair side" manner and you just hate to leave him! My sister and I gave him such a hard time just for laughs and he laughed harder than us. Another great thing he did was give me two trial pairs of contact lenses on two occasions to cover me until I was able to make my own appointment. A wonderful business. He and his staff are very professional and thorough as well. They try to make you as comfortable as possible by offering gourmet coffee and tea. I think I even saw some bottled water at one time but I'm not sure. They also have some nice funky sunglasses which I purchased in the past and the selection of frames don't overwhelm you like his competition. This is the optometrist my parents took me to when I was a kid, and after moving back into town after a 3 year stint in another state, it's really good to be back! I started wearing CRT lenses at Dr Clark's recommendation about a decade ago, and I love them. (For those who don't know, they're night-time wear lenses that put gentle pressure on your cornea, so that when you take them out in the morning you can see with 20/20 vision all day--perfect vision without Lasik and without the contact lenses in!) But they're expensive and not every optometrist works with them. My other optometrist charged me twice as much for new CRT contacts, and wanted me to replace them every two years on the dot. Triangle Visions not only charged me for the lenses without the 2x markup, but identified the overcorrection in my lenses that has been contributing to my eye strain. If it hadn't been for the change in the prescription, they were willing to look at the wear and cleanliness of my lenses to see if I could use them for an extra year--not trying to oversell me. I think these guys are great, and will definitely be going there for my eye appointments while I'm back in this state. read more

I was difficult to fit with RGP lenses for ortho-k (hard lenses worn at night so you can go without contacts or glasses by day), but Dr. Clark took the time over weeks and multiple appointments to assure that I wound up with great vision. Ultimately it took custom made contact lenses to create the right corneal shape that allowed me to be free of contacts and glasses. While it was a slower process than I think either of us hoped for, I really appreciated his commitment to my ultimate satisfaction. I'm really happy with the end result. read more

I cannot say enough good about Triangle Visions. They are not just highly competent, they are also honest and respectful. I can trust their recommendations. I first went to Dr. Clark on the recommendation of a friend almost 16 years ago, and I have never changed. My oldest needed vision correction; he was aware of the challenges of young children and vision correction and could make helpful and also pragmatic recommendations. My second oldest had perfect vision but couldn't track words properly and needed vision therapy. It is an unusual optometrist who can spot the signs. Over the years, Dr. Clark has been careful about the additional optometrists he has brought on staff, and we have always been pleased with every single one of them. They all share his values of honesty, competence and respect. In addition, the practice has the most state of the art equipment and training in a broad range of eye health issues including ocular nutrition, corneal refractive therapy, surgery (referred out, of course), and, of course, vision therapy.
