We booked this park so we could be close to visit Tombstone, AZ. When we arrived, it was as if we had entered a different world. As we drove toward Dragoon, all of a sudden the scenery shifted to one of a bouldered landscape. Each rock as if it had been picked up by a giant and then gently balanced on top of another. It was surreal and reminded us of a movie set from Lost in Space. Come to find out, it was the site of a filming of the 1957 movie "3:10 to Yuma." This is a Dude Ranch with several amenities. We chose a site with water and electric only, but there are other sites with full hook-ups. There is a pristine "COLD" water pool and a full restaurant and bar that is open only during peak seasons. There is free WiFi, bunkhouse "motel" rooms, casitas and cottages as well. To call this place "other-worldly" would be close, but it was absolutely magical. So dark at night, you could actually see the Milky Way and peer into a universe far far away. Luminaries such as President John F. Kennedy, General John J. Pershing, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans and others have visited and stayed at this unique location. Our only wish was that we had more than just an overnighted. We'd definitely like to return. read more

Where to start? Found the place quite by chance when I was mapping out a route and looking for the halfway point to park the RV for a few days - between Las Cruces NM and Tucson AZ. What a treasure! When I called ahead to book a camp spot for the RV, I was welcomed by Mona, the heartbeat of the Triangle T! Gracious, full of character and charm, with amazing stamina and energy. I'll let you ask her age when you get here! The next day - within a very short time of our arrival, we were made to feel like family - not only by Mona but every member of the staff we encountered. Growing up in the 1950s, it was all about Cowboys and Indians. Roy Rogers, the Lone Ranger, Gene Autry, John Wayne...names that greeted us on the small signposts along the entry road. The signature boulder landscape was absolutely remarkable - creating the kind of ambiance that Disney works hard to recreate! Had I been here before? You bet - every time I went to a Saturday Matinee at the Avenue Theatre in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, I was here! Had I died at an early age, I am sure this is what heaven would have looked like - compete with horses - led down a well-worn trail by a grizzled old wrangler - a man of few words - only spoke when necessary! We opted for dinner in the Rock Saloon - while the rest of the world seems to be able to steak or eat ribs for dinner, at my advanced age, I am resigned to chicken or fish. This had to be the best almond-crusted chicken breast to which I'd ever taken a fork. Like other guests, we were forwarned to let Mona know earlier in the day - should we plan to dine at the Rock Saloon. Over dinner, we were joined by another guest and Kevin, the local mechanical wizard that kept everything running around the ranch. He too had come to the place months before and was shocked to find this 'well-kept secret'. Mostly he is there because he likes to be there - not an uncommon thread amongst the staff at the Triangle T! Linda Kelly, the owner of the place is easily one of the ranch's greatest fans! She truly has her heart and soul in the place. A 'stand-out' member of the cast is Thomas - a gangly 'roustabout' who manages the 'ranchy issues' like road maintenance, mending fences, etc., etc. Points to the rattlesnake band on his well-worn cowboy hat and exclaims....."Yup - killed him m'self with a knife, skinned him out, turned him into dinner one night, and made a hat band outta him!" You really can't make this stuff up folks! If you and your family are looking for somewhere to be, this place is steeped in early history as the wintering place of Cochise and the Chirichua Apaches, later history as the kind of guest ranch that would attract the likes of the Vanderbilts, the Rockefellers, and the Kennedys. During WW2, it was a top-secret detainment camp for the Japanese diplomats and spies that engineered the attack on Pearl Harbor, 7 December 1941 - the day that still lives in infamy! Following the war, due to its unique natural beauty, it became a haven for Hollywood Westerns and hosted many of the legendary actors of the silver screen including Roy Rogers & Dale Evans, Gene Autry, Rex Allen, John Wayne, The Lone Ranger & Tonto, Glenn Ford, Ronald Ragan and later Gene Hackman! Ranch is run down, poorly maintained. Ran out of running water for 2 days. There is no well to supply water, they have to use a truck to get water from an old mine that fills with water and then fill tanks on there site. This system of water supply is not dependable nor sustainable. Extremely Over priced for a 3rd world ranch. The same excuse for all the issues"Ranch is over 100 years old". The pool is not useable water is a green. The chef was the only good thing about this place. read more

This is a MUST DO!!! Went here for a week for a friends birthday and what a fantastic time we all had! The staff were absolutely above and beyond nice and accomodating. From the first minute we drove onto the ranch it had the most incredible feel to it. Great way to turn back the clock to the old west. The casitas were very homey and all the amenities were there except a TV. But that's ok because there's so much to see and do, not only on the ranch, but also in the surrounding areas. Perfect location to relax and reconnect. To Mona, who manages the place, we never expected to feel so welcome but you made us feel like family from day 1. To Scott, best meals I've ever had sir! We'd come back just for your cooking! To Michelle, we never wanted for anything the whole time with you taking care of us! To Don, what a fantastic trail ride. All the extra info made it all that extra special. Not to mention the girls loved that they got to help with the horses. And to Nick, Thank you for allowing us all to be a part of your days. The one this this place has is an amazing setting for hiking and horseback riding. Other than that, I cannot recommend. They are short staffed, and many buildings and facilities are in disrepair. The showers and bathrooms were not operational and were locked. The only facilities available were two very old porta potties. This may have been amazing in its day, but it has certainly fallen into dire condition. The saloon is fun, but only available for a couple of hours at night. We made reservations for dinner but arrived to find the place closed down. When we contacted the manager, she said they had forgotten our reservation and could not accommodate. All in all, beautiful location, poorly run and in bad shape. Don't let the website fool you. read more

I was lucky enough to spend a week at the Triangle T while taking a tracking class last fall. The rooms are rustic and it's like taking a trip back in time. Two days of the course were dedicated to tracking on horseback in the Dragoon foothills and on foot through the Cochise Stronghold which is nearby. The horses are well cared for and I can't wait to come back and go riding again! Meals made for guests in the small kitchen were simple and good, but the best meals were served in the Rock Bar. Other onsite spots are the set from the original 3:10 to Yuma starring Glenn Ford made in the 1950s. Linda really takes care of this place and was attentive to everything we needed. I've loved the Dragoons since I was a child and love coming back to this area time and again. This little guest ranch is in the center of it all. read more

We arrived on a Wednesday, mid afternoon (5:30'ish), in an RV. The entrance into this ranch is very cool as it is surrounded by huge beautiful boulder formations. When you drive in they have signs of famous people who stayed here. The RV area is nestled in boulders. The sites are pretty level which is great. Each site has a picnic table, water, sewer and electric hookup. No cable. If you have Air TV you can pick up one english speaking station. Sigh. We were greeted by a staff member who said she would be in on Friday to take care of our check-in (we made reservations over the phone so they already had our CC info). Although she was very nice, there was no info on the ranch shared. No brochure of activities, meals, etc. She was leaving for the day so simply stopped by on her way to her car. After setting up, and knowing they had a restaurant/saloon on site, we walked up for dinner ~ or so we thought. Not a soul in site. We found a sign on the door saying the Saloon is open to "all guests" and open on the weekend to the public. Hmmm...are we not guests? We then walked over to the building with a sign "Dinning Hall" for breakfast. Still no one in site. So, we decided to Yelp a place for dinner in the nearest town. We woke up Thursday morning thinking we would see some activity. Nothing. The hubster Googled this ranch and discovered they were featured on Hotel Impossible season 2 episode 2. Supposedly, they changed some staff members and added a few activities. We made the decision to walk over to the office and let them know we would be moving on ~ unless they could change our minds. The owner of the Ranch was in the office so we chatted a bit and expressed our disappointment about our experience thus far. She apologized and handed me a brochure. Reading it later (when back in the RV) we discovered there was NO guest information, NO activity and NO meal information listed so the brochure is useless. We originally were told we could not ride until Friday. Knowing there was a 100% chance for rain, we asked if we could ride now. Yes, they had another scheduled ride, but she was able to get us in. Although it began to sprinkle we enjoyed the ride through the boulders with Wrangler Don who was very nice. Linda, the owner, asked if we would like to have dinner that evening to which we accepted. She also asked if she could join us which we thought was great. Later that afternoon we walked up to the Saloon thinking it would be open because it was around dinner time (we failed to get a dinner time from Linda). It was closed. We found several people in the parking lot thinking they too could enjoy dinner. I walked over toward the staff housing and found a gal sitting outside. She said she would open the saloon just before 6. Hmmm... Although the few staff members we came in contact with were nice, we found everything about our stay to be a bit strange. Odd if you will for a "Guest Ranch". There were 11 of us who expected dinner that night. We were offered two choices: Ribeye Steak or Chicken. Period. No menu in site. Most of us wound up sitting at the bar being served our dinners. My husband, I and a few others moved to a table. Linda never did join us. Dinner was OK. We had a lot of fat on our ribeye (we never order ribeye for this reason). Rain set in Thursday evening and continued through all day Friday. There was never a phone call, knock on the door, or flyer given stating "if you want breakfast/lunch/dinner you must call and let us know". The saloon and dinning room/hall remained closed UNTIL Saturday when they opened it with full menus to the public. At this point (Sat. morning) we made the decision to move on. It appears Triangle T Ranch can not decide if they want to focus on events or weddings or call themselves an RV park. A simple folder or flyer handout to guests upon registering explaining options would go a long way. Amenities for RVers; Amenities for guests staying in our Casitas. Meals are on a schedule basis only. etc. For the same price per night just up the road we had so many more options/amenities etc. Wish we would have moved on sooner than we did. read more

I visited The Triangle T for the first time during the annual Garlic Festival. Explored the grounds and ate at the restaurant/saloon. It's an historic ranch having been built in 1922 and many famous dignitaries, such as President John Kennedy, have stayed there. They offer horseback riding and other activities you'd find at a ranch. It's set in the beautiful Texas Canyon right off I-10. I'm including this ranch on my Arizona Treasures list because of its historical significance and because its an important offering of the Arizona ranch experience for native Arizonans and all our visitors to Southern Arizona. read more

I debated about whether or not to post this review. My experiences here have been mixed. I've been out to Triangle T twice. Once to camp for a weekend and explore the surrounding area, and this past weekend for New Year's Eve. It must be said that the natural beauty of the Dragoons and Texas Canyon where the ranch is located is stunning. The granite boulders, tall grasses and oaks create a classic Arizona camping experience. That being said, the owners should be ashamed of themselves for the dinner that they served on New Year's eve. I paid $100 for my wife and I to eat the worst cut of prime rib I have ever tasted. Honestly, it was closer to shoe leather than meat. Everything, from the salad to the desert was absolute garbage. The meal was so bad we didn't want to stay until midnight, mainly because we were embarrassed. I felt like I had given a donation to the ranch because that dinner was worth $10 at a truckstop. Such a shame to let such a beautiful place suffer from such terrible service. read more

Beautiful setting, the true west, lovely casitas with refrigerators and ac and all amenities except tv. This is s great place to come with your horse or ride one of theirs. Very historic with many films and tv shows filmed here. Rich in history. Linda thee owner has greatly improved. I highly recommend a group of friends get together with your horses and ride here. I stayed in a casita and my horse in a small pen and he and I both happy. As a group you can arrange meals and menus . However can also make food in kitchen. This is also close to historic butterfield stage ruins as well as Cochise Stronghold. Huge improvements since I was last here. Very peaceful . It is a magical place read more

Beautiful place to stay & camp. A lot of boulders, beautiful views. The staff was very nice with what they had to work with. Do NOT go here for dinner. The owner moved our name off our reserved table so 2 people that come every few weeks could sit there; then denied it to our face. We were extremely nice, patient; we stayed at the bar to eat. Also because we were nice, we waited to order food until they were a little more caught up. So they were out of ribs - what my husband wanted. They were out of baked beans, also my husband. Baked potato substitute was mediocre. Salad I had (bare lettuce) was only half full in the bowl. Steak I ordered (not much else) was not worth the money I paid. The owner is part of the problem, reminds me of an Gordon Ramsey episode. A lot of confusion. This is a good Gordon Ramsey candidate by the way. read more

We traveled to this location for a birthday dinner and it was a perfect in between for the family. I had been wanting to visit this location since i had heard that 3:10 to Yuma was filmed there and it was a feature on the travel channel. I was absolutely disappointed. It is an adorable ranch bar/saloon picnic setting. And the old western charm is amazing however our waiter was horriffic. We were seated at a table and then not waited upon until 15 minutes had passed - we then put in our drink order. When our waitress returned with the drinks we put in our food order and it was pretty simple - salad- steak - potatoes- and beans. Thats it some wanted bacon on their potato and some didnt and then what dressing that was really the only changes between orders- as 40 minutes went by the waitress never came back after taking our order. No drink refills no salads nothing! Oh and did I mention it was our party and 2 other parties of 2 in the entire restaurant. Finally we went up to the bar to ask where i waitress was and they informed us she went home for the evening and never put in our order!! What?! like for reals? and so we did get another waitress and she brought our our order quickly as we had been waiting and the order was slightly messed up and never did get our salads. The steak was delicious but not that special that I cant find around town. Sorry but we will not be returning and I truly wanted to like this place. read more

Triangle T is a hidden gem! So much cool history, during WWII the U.S. Army held Japanese Ambassador's who leaked THEE information that caused the Japanese to bomb Pearl Harbor. The original 3:10 to Yuma was filmed there as well as The Lone Ranger. But wait, there's more! Triangle T is also a designated Dark Sky location for Astro Photography. Linda the owner has such a passion for the property and her guest that we became instant friends as she drove us around and shared her favorite places around the 162 acre property. And the food...Mona makes the most delicious breakfast and Don barbecues a mean ribeye that makes your mouth water. Thomas takes care of the grounds and is the kind of guy that just makes you smile. Each and every person there touches your heart and makes you want to come back again and again. We brought our 3 dogs and they had t h e t i m e o f t h e i r l i v e s climbing the huge boulders and playing in the cattle pond. ONLY ONE HOUR away from our house we have already visited again. Fiancee and I got in on the Groupon deal from back in February, two person, one hour horse back ride for $45. Well, just got back. It's a nice little guest ranch, and the ride was fairly basic. Our horses were well behaved and our wrangler was friendly. The scenery is great, and different than most other areas in Arizona - definitely worth coming out. Unfortunately the ranch is right next to the highway, so there was ever present road noise, which breaks the mood a bit. The route also isn't the most interesting, and felt more like a day activity for a guest ranch, which, well, it is. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and this would be a great route for first time riders, or those with kids, but I've enjoyed rides quite a bit harder than this elsewhere. The people were very friendly. When we experienced some car trouble, the bartender's husband and one of the guests, I believe, helped diagnose an intermittent problem that has been plaguing the vehicle for a couple of months. A bit of a charge off the guest's car and we were able to make it home. The friendliness and car help bumps it up from a three to a solid four. read more

Triangle T Ranch - Beautiful view - Hotels Near Me - Dragoon, Arizona

We stayed three nights in one of the casitas. Could not have enjoyed our stay more. Our casita was rustic, clean and charming. A step back in time. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with great service. The saloon, open only on Saturday, is an old-style country bar with a large rock in the center and live music with dancing. All of the staff we met were friendly and eager to please. The owner will build a fire for you outside the casitas in the evening, which is much better than sitting in the room and watching TV, of which there is none. The surrounding countryside with amazing rock formations was a delight for exploring and photography. We spent hours exploring the rocks and on bike rides on the local trails. The Amerind Museum, definitely worth a visit, is an easy, short walk from the casitas. There is a lot of history in this place and the staff will tell you about it if asked. Be aware that if you are looking for high-end manicured excellence, you might not find it here. The buildings are old and ditto the landscaping, but for us the rustic atmosphere was perfect. We went for a long weekend of relaxation and rejuvenation and achieved this beyond our expectations. Highly recommend! read more

I have to admit that this review is for the bar only, but this place is well worth a visit if time permits and you're out on an Americana road trip. The saloon is built around a lovely wooden bar which is built around a giant boulder. These ancient monoliths are an attraction in this area, and our bartender told us that John Wayne had actually asked that the ranch build the bar so he wouldn't have to go to town for beer while filming in these parts. When we sauntered through the swinging doors, a family was shucking roastin ears on the porch and a few spur-jangling diners were digging into what appeared to be thick and juicy slabs of prime. The Saloon at this ranch is a nice place to catch a drink or something to eat when traveling East on I-10 out of Tucson. There are not many options in this area and it was a good find. Really cool location among wild rock formations. You can sit inside an old time western saloon (right down to the swinging batwing doors) or outside on a wide covered porch. The food was pretty good. I had ribs and they were above average. Others in my party had steaks. They were not very thick but were said to be properly cooked and tasty. The only unpleasant part of the experience was the bartender who continuously scolded the servers in front of customers. (Why, I don't know because our service was great.) read more

Really cool place! The hotel has housed many famous people and the 3:10 to Yuma was shot there. The atmosphere couldn't be better. However the staff weren't the brightest and the menu was lacking. The menu was two sided but when we tried to order from one of the sides we were told it was the dinner menu yet it wasn't marked at all. As a vegetarian there was pretty much nothing but salad and fries I could eat. It would be so much better if they had a veggie burger. Even a store bought garden burger would be better than what they currently offer. I'd go back for the atmosphere not the food. read more

We recently spent 3 days at the Triangle T Ranch and couldn't have been more pleased. We stayed in Casita 1, it was decorated in a western style, very clean and comfortable. Their claw legged deep bathtubs are great for bubble baths but are set up for showers as well. Their saloon is open on the weekends and provides you with a bit of adventure and western culture. Because they have a highly trained chef on staff, expertly prepared meals are served in their dining room every night with the freshest of ingredients. My husband and I took a 2 hour horse ride on very tame horses with what seemed an authentic cowboy that was glad to share the history of the ranch as we rode. Many famous people stayed at this ranch as well as the shooting of the movie, "3:10 Uma". All in all, I would say if you want fine lodging you should go to a hotel. If you want a relaxing ranch setting with folks that knock themselves out to make your stay pleasant, this is a great place to stay. If anything is not just right and you speak up about it, they make it right immediately. My husband went to the dining room early during the week to see if we could have a drink before dinner. The owners daughter showed up at our room soon after with a pitcher of beer and two cold glasses. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. This was our first stay at the Triangle T but there will be more in the future for sure. read more

Family decided to go for a horse back ride on the Friday before Labor Day. We purchased groupon deal and made our reservations with no problem. Folks at ranch stayed in contact with us as it was raining off and on. We had a wonderful ride with Wrangler Don. The horses were saddled up and ready to go when we arrived and were strong, healthy and very beautiful. We were afforded a scenic and quite exciting ride. Ever watch the show Hotel Impossible? Well if so, then you may know that this property was featured once. When we arrived mid-day no one was at the check in desk but it wasn't long before someone came running up to check us in. The check in office was nice, thanks to Anthony and his crew of Hotel Impossible! So let's do a "Good/Bad" type of review here... The Good: We had rented one of the RV spots and backed in and quickly set up. This site was one of the best with a big tree, massive boulders, full hook ups. I was initially worried about the freeway noise as we were close but to be honest, it really wasn't bad. You could hear it sure, but it was such that you had to tune into it after a while of being there if you wanted it to bother you. The surrounding terrain is very unique and beautiful with all the rock formations. I jokingly said it was a gravel pile of the giants LOL. The guest ranch itself had various points of old west appeal. An old wagon here, beat down stage coach there, a building or two that might lend one to think of the old west. The Rock Saloon and restaurant was neat and there really is a BIG rock in the middle of the darn thing that the bar surrounds. Yup, the saloon is kewl. The staff was friendly especially James the cowboy that was in charge of the horseback rides. James easily was the high light of our trip. On Christmas Eve day we were scheduled for a ride. I was thinking, poor fella that has to work that day, bet he gets soooo bored with the same old ride, the same old questions from "city folk" day in and day out. So when we met him, I shook his hand, and in that shake I spotted him a 20 saying how grateful we were. James took it all in stride, he was upbeat, made us feel so welcome and didn't act at all like I thought someone might in that position, Christmas eve and all. We saddled up and headed out for what was an AWESOME trail ride and conversation with James. He took us to scenic spots that were breath taking. I chatted with James about guns, ammunition and all sorts of things and he sure seemed like he enjoyed the conversation. Yes, he made the ride really fun and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone, great "bang for the buck" for sure. (Note: Will James be there when you come for a ride? Hard saying due to the "Bad" below). That evening, James came by our campsite and said, "I'll show you how to build a bon fire" then proceeded to do just that. By the time he was done, we had a roaring fire that was supported by an awesome bed of hot coals. He then breaks out his guitar and starts playing like a pro! It was a real kick watching the cowboy play by the fire light with a big full moon in the background! Gotta say, James was a hoot to be sure and made our stay there better than we could have hoped. What a tremendous asset to the owner of this property and one they should take well care of. The Bad: Remember I mentioned the program Hotel Impossible and the show they did on this Ranch? While Anthony of that program did much to help the owner of this property, this owner clearly still appears to need more help and to consistently implement such help and not just be agreeable for a television program. The biggest problem surely is employees and the lack of being able to keep them. We learned by casual conversation that those there now were new and employees come and go like the wind. I mean, the owner even hired the latest couple that pulled in with their RV camper and then one morning as my wife was exiting the public bathroom near the saloon, an employee said "you working here now"? Wow, really? With this, the background checks desperately needed for many reasons are not getting done we learned and training, well, people are just put to work. The "old west" feel of the place sure could easily be helped in many ways from little things to bigger things. I could go on and on about this from simply removing the many non functioning, broken down and worthless solar lights, to picking up cinder blocks and many other loose ends laying/thrown about. OPPs watch those steps outside the saloon, pitch black there at night, law suit waiting to happen! (There is code related to this for commercial applications). Summary: Overall, this facility is pretty neat and a decent value we thought. (Although we can't speak for any of the rooms). Maybe squint your eyes while on the property overlooking the short comings, go for a horseback ride then travel around Cochise county to explore small towns and the San Pedro river area. It's a great county, awesome history with much to see! read more

This place is a DUMP. The rooms are filthy and riddled with flies. They never came to clean our room. They didn't give us enough or even adequate toiletries (only shampoo and lotion). We never got enough towels. Breakfast the next day consisted of undercooked potatoes and runny eggs. But hey, at least the 2 pieces of bacon I was offered were cooked right. Don't even get me started on the saloon. I ordered a margarita and the bartender not only short poured, but didn't even fill the glass all the way. As a former bartender, I was stunned and disappointed to say the least. We were told at that time that dinner would start at 5:30. We came back at 5:40 and were told dinner wouldn't start until 6. I told the same bartender that we were told 5:30. Her response? "The boss changed it to 6." We came back at 6 after complaining to someone named Linda and were seated promptly. I crossed my fingers for a redemption on their part. Unfortunately we got cold food, a NASTY brisket sandwich and less than stellar service. The waitress never came back to ask if we needed anything (which we did) and never asked if we wanted another drink (which we did). If I could give this place negative stars, I would. For the amount of money we paid for our room (which was outrageous btw) I would have at least liked some soap, conditioner, towels, and a full pour in my margarita. Believe me when I say that I would rather get a root canal and a Pap smear at the same time than come back to this craphole again. read more

I stayed at the historic Triangle T Ranch for two nights and generally enjoyed the experience. There is an on-site saloon, horseback riding, camping, and there are nearby activities to historical sites in SE Arizona. Friendly people, not the nicest beds, but definitely worth at least one night to take in the gorgeous site of the Dragoon Mountains. read more

We came here to use a groupon for horseback riding. The setting is beautiful until you ride close to the interstate, it takes away from the old west feeling. If that wasn't the kicker then the horses were. Literally! My horse tried to buck me off 2 times, I said time for a different horse! The next horse shouldn't of been ridden on a trail ride either because his hooves were cut too short and he wasn't shoed! Other than that nice ride??? Not really. :-( would not go back. read more

Put this special, historic ranch on your Bucket List even if you are not a "horse person". We enjoyed everything about this relaxing getaway retreat. Unique, rocky landscape in Texas Canyon with stunning vistas, spectacular sunsets and night skies, comfy and immaculate ranch casitas with luxury bedding and custom-made ranch furniture plus a kitchenette -- it was perfect! We each enjoyed a massage after our trail ride. The staff is very responsive and friendly. Loved the Cantina Sat. night, mesquite-grilled steaks, country music and dancing. Even though I had only been on a horse two times before in my life, I loved the trail rides! The wrangler matched me with the right horse for me. read more

Took our CT friends to stay at the Triangle T Ranch. It was a blast! We went horseback riding first then we rested in our casita, which was large and clean albeit a bit dated. Since it was Friday (and the Saloon was only open to the public on Saturday), they opened the Saloon early just for us for drinks, followed by a yummy cowboy steak dinner. The staff, James and Bob, were with us during the ride and at the Saloon/dinner. They were personable, attentive and most entertaining. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay again! read more

My wife and i decided to make a reservation Saturday night to the Triangle T Ranch restaurant in Dragoon. We both had been looking forward to a change of pace with restaurants in Tucson. We live on the east side of Tucson and thought it would be nice change. My wife called to make reservations and was told that they could squeeze us in at 6:30 PM. We arrived promptly at 6:30 to a half empty restaurant. We were not greeted and had to walk to the bar to get seated. We were told we could sit anywhere. We sat down at a small table for two. We waited well over 5 minutes before someone arrived with the menus and greeted us at the table. It went downhill from here. My wife ordered the 1 pound rib eye (medium rare) it arrived medium well. Although the baked potato and vegetables were rare (the butter never melted on either potato or vegetables). The salad would never have arrived at the table had my wife not reminded the waitress about it. I ordered the shroom burger (it was a hockey puck). The staff seemed very disorganized. We just wanted to get out of there. Although It has great scenery around the ranch and restaurant, i just hope the staff does not try and take charge of this and screw that up too. read more

Came because of the hotel impossible episode. We are horse people and history buffs. While the setting was AMAZiNG and overall the property was nice it seemed like the owners did not head the advise that Anthony gave them. The lobby was nothing like the end of the show. The staff was very welcoming and the grounds seemed well maintained. Big minuses for us.... No hot water we had to turn on the hot water severice ourselves. No housekeeping. Are you kidding I'm NOT going to make my own bed and while there was in room coffee it was not redressed in the morning. Last but not least no blow dryer in the room. Had I known I would have brought my own,but most places furnish them. Pluses. Amazing ridding and trails. Pet friendly big plus. Place to park your horse trailer. True old west saloon/ restaurant, however service was iffy as was the food. Included morning breakfast was great but slow to be searched. Great entertainment on Saturday, good job Raleigh! My husband and I have had the privilege of staying at multiple lodgings, from 5 star world class resorts to "Mom & Pop" overnighters. Overall this place has amazing potential BUT unless they fix some MAJOR basic bugs I would not recommend it yet...... I hope they fix thing and use this amazing historic scenic local to their advantage. read more

My husband and I recently visited the Triangle T Ranch after learning of its World War II history from the Tomnstone Epitath. It was the location of the internment of the Japanese Consulate and staff from Hawaii immediately following the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Bet you did not know that. Google it. We planned one night but stayed three. Fabulous ranch experience and Hollywood history to boot. It is the location for many western movies with all the big stars. You can stay in John Wayne's casita or Roy Roger's or Gregory Peck's. We love history and we love hiking. The landscape is unsurpassed with rock formations everywhere. Don took us on an amazing horse ride and we visited a local winery with great wine. Our every need was attended to with speed and courtesy and we feel like we have made friends for life of the owners. It is not the Ritz but a real cowboy experience. Boots and blue jeans. Step out of the box and have some real fun. And PS. The beads were wonderful. read more

I had a friend from out of town visiting, and we took a day trip to the Amerind Foundation. After our visit, we decided to stop at the Triangle T because we saw the sign that said it was open to the public on Saturdays. So we stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat. Very scenic and a lot of history. However, there was a man working the bar, neglected to get his name, who was very loud and yelling at everyone, it seemed. He bumped into Julie and knocked fries out of a plate she was taking to a customer. Then when we asked Julie a question, he walked by and said, "what's the matter?" My friend replied, "Nothing, we're just asking a question." Then...we observed this same man making a salad for someone. He put on his one-use glove, opened the refrigerator where the greens were WITH his gloved hand, and grabbed the greens. Totally against health department regulations. Then...we observed him writing something down with a pen, still with his gloved hand, then grabbing croutons to put on the salad. I ordered a ranch burger and received a cheese burger. Not what I ordered. They replaced my order quickly enough but the burger was well done, not medium, as I ordered. read more
