My husband, my sister-in-law and I stayed here 2 nights. This is the best motel in small town Tombstone. We have stayed here on 1-2 previous occasions. Its location is superb, within walking distance of good restaurants and major tourist attractions. The bed was extremely comfortable, better than at a high-priced hotel we visited later in our trip. I liked our room's high ceilings. The motel's decor is very 1980's but very clean and comfortable. Our room had a refrigerator and a microwave; my sister-in-law had a fridge but no microwave. We had a wall-mounted clothes rack, my sister-in-law may have had a closet. Our room was farther from the road and very quiet; my sister-in-law was closer to the road and had some noise. Each room has two wood rocking chairs outside the door, under a large overhang offering sun and rain protection. The people sitting outside are friendly. Our room had a comfortable sofa with a movable floor lamp. We had a nightstand with a good reading light on one side of the bed. I don't know whether we could have moved the floor lamp over to the other side of the bed. The motel is close to downtown Tombstone and these major attractions to which we walked: the Courthouse Museum, the Bird Cage Theatre (museum), the Rose Tree Museum, the Crystal Palace bar, Big Nose Kate's Saloon, the Longhorn restaurant, Undertaker's Coffee, Cowboy Coffee Bar, gunfights on Allen St, carriage rides on Allen St., various shops, etc. Here are some places farther away that we would probably have needed to drive to. The motel was within walking distance of everything to Tombstone. The room was very clean, no problems with the heating system the bathroom worked well. The fridge was quiet and efficient. The management was very friendly and helpful. read more

My friends and I rode our motorcycles from California and stayed at the Larian Motel for which we made reservations. We met the new owner, Jimmy. He had our rooms together which was nice, he actually hung out with us when we were sitting outside one evening. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, coffee maker in room was nice. August 8, 2025 Our treatment here was excremental. We made a reservation March 23, 2025 in the Larian motel office with a clerk we were on friendly terms with after numerous previous stays. We confirmed our reservation six weeks ago with same individual. We drove 2 days from California for a special event in Tombstone. The new owner had no record if our confirmed reservation. The new owner blamed the previous owner for poor record keeping and the front desk lady for negligence. Talking to locals, we learned that they heard the same story as ours from others who had encountered the same difficulty. Fortunately, we found another property to stay at. What a great motel and exactly where you want to stay in order to check out all of Tombstone! It's super clean and the owners and staff are awesome and so dog gone friendly! We literally were able to walk to all the attractions and it's within a few walking steps to everything! Our room was clean and a nice size. Had a micro and a fridge. It's air conditioned and comfy, but the bed was just a tad hard but we still got a great nights sleep! It's super quiet here and I will stay here again the next time I'm here. If you need a short answer, Do go here. it is amazing. I don't usually go to motels because of all the bad things i hear about it. This motel was recommended by a sweet woman by the name of Lisa. Lisa is a known person in tombstone and so everyone knows her. I went on one of her tours, and my father and i wanted to stay the night since the gift shops and stuff were all closed when we arrived. (5:58pm) Her tour talks about the history of tombstone, I definitely recommend taking her tours ! $20 for a person each, $10 for children. Anywho, We had asked Lisa any recommendations to stay the night here, and the first thing she said was The Larian. Like I said, I do NOT go to motels whatsoever. A lot of them are not clean, there's bed bugs, and it's just chaos. Not here. When i check for bed bugs or even just bugs in general- I look. There was nothing. Not one single bug (Except for the little stinkers from outside that found their way in.) behind the bed, there's a bug trap. I don't know if that's normal, but When I saw that, I Knew I was good. There's working ac, and even though i didn't get a good pic of the room, it was colorful and had character. even the shower was neat! In conclusion, this place is awesome ! Absolutely loved it here. The owner, Gordon, was so kind and gave us tips on where to visit and eat in town. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I love how each room is themed after a different famous cowboy. We were in the Wyatt Earp room and my son loved playing cowboy. The bathroom could get a bit warm, but the room's ac is great in the Arizona heat. It's super pet friendly as well. I brought my dog along and most of the town was very pet friendly. read more

I came out for my birthday a few weeks ago and absolutely enjoyed my stay. Upon arrival I was advised to run my water as they had just had a new water heater installed. After letting it run for 20 mins and getting little to no water I spoke to the front desk. They apologized and said they'd have someone out to check it. That was fine. I was going to spend time in town anyway. When I got back, a plumber was in my room working on the problem. It was an easy enough fix. Within a few hours we had water again. For our inconvenience, the manager offered a full refund and to cover the difference at another hotel, paid for our dinner one night, and gave us a gallon of water. We of course didn't want to switch hotels. I had picked this motel because I had read it may or may not be haunted. I'm not sure that I saw anything, but my brothers wife swears 2 nights in a row she saw a silhouette of a man sitting at the edge of the bed. We did the bullets and bordellos ghost tour and the guide told us about another room on the property that has alot of activity. The location to the town is perfect. A quick walk across the street and you're at the O.K. Corral. It's the perfect get away motel. read more

The hotel is small, but conveniently located across from the OK Corral and just a block north of the main tourist drag, an easy four minute walk from the destinations visitors come down to Tombstone for. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The price was right at $109 for a single king sized bed but what really makes staying here worthwhile is the staff. The lady who owns and runs the joint must have spent fifteen minutes talking to me about the area, attractions, restaurants, our middle names, places to go ride my bike and so on. Normally after several hours on a bike I just want to take a shower and relax in a quiet room for a bit but it was such a pleasure talking to her that I was in no hurry to do so. It was like immediately reconnecting with a friend after being apart for years, and the place just felt like home if you know what I mean. It made me sad my riding buddy wasn't with me, as this is the kind of place you hope you are lucky enough to find when traveling as opposed to just another hotel to stay in and depart as soon as possible the next morning. It just screams relax, put your feet up and stay awhile. Tombstone is a small town, not many hotel chains, so if you are going to stay overnight make sure to do it here! read more

Larian Motel is a cute little motel right on the main road. My friend and I stopped in late one night on a road trip not planning ahead. We did call before arriving in town tho, they had a room so we stayed. Cute simple room, had everything we needed. The owner or manager was really nice and patient with us. Jan 2013. I would recommend Larian Motel to anyone stopping through town. Clean affordable rooms within walking distance to the Allen St. I tried to book a room the last time I was driving through Jul 2017 but they were booked solid! Good for them, Bad for me. I eventually found a place down the road but I missed staying here. I will make better plans next time. read more

This was our second trip to Tombstone and we stayed at the Larian again because we loved it so much. Apparently room 2 is haunted, but I'm pretty sure it seeped into room 3 while we were there. Loved the Larian!! They don't have a great many amenities, but they have the BEST air conditioning in town!! We loved the named rooms!! We enjoyed our old school lodging with tiny bathroom and standard expectations with its modern updates like a coffee pot and television! We loved our little bench, the nice lady that checked us in with her stories of hauntings we discussed, the owner Gordon who was funny and charming, and the ice machine!! This place is very clean and a very biker friendly establishment. Very peaceful and quiet. There is a circle K about 1/8 of a mile from the motel if you need water, snacks, or supplies. The staff are very friendly. My friends and I rode 530 miles to stay here when visiting Tombstone. It is walking distance to the historical street of Tombstone and all the attractions, literally just 100 yards away. We will be staying here again. read more

Awesome original hotel from back in the day. Manager was amazing, we rode our motorcycles in from So Cal, it was a very long and cold day. Pulled in at 930, it was 26 degrees and we were so cold, the manager knew we were riding, turned on our heater and had the key in the door waiting for us, let us check in the next morning. Fantastic service !!! The owners are the nicest people you could imagine. We had reserved 3 nights and spent 1 when we got an emergency phone call and had to leave the second day. The owners were nice enough to let us leave (after check out time) and only charge us for one night. How totally unexpected and welcome! We will come back when we finish our Tombstone visits. Our room had a nice bathroom, tv, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer and a good king bed. The property is centrally located and you can walk to all the eating establishments, shops and attractions. Love staying here! It's been our favorite stay by far of all the stops we've made in Tombstone. The staff is unbelievably helpful, friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It has a great vibe. Old time charm and history mixed with new and comfortable furnishings. There's a great old cactus garden in the front courtyard that is a joy to behold when enjoying your morning coffee. It's centrally located to the old section of town, so walking is a pleasure, and it sits right next to the oldest Adobe in the Southwest...Scheiflien Hall!. The OK Corral is just down the street, and it's surrounded by everything wonderful the iconic city has to offer. We love it here, and visit as often as we can. Visiting the city is pure pleasure, and the the Larian and it's staff make the experience ideal! read more
