But, if you want a clean room and bed, and a fairly quiet ac, for an exceptionally great price (I paid $40.00 total; I haven't seen total prices this low since the '70s), then this quaint little motel is for you! Despite the outdated hi-low shag carpet, the room is clean and pretty comfortable. And, the furniture is in very good condition. Something you don't see very often at any motel, screen doors! I've paid 2.5x this price for places, that haven't been this nice. In the bathroom, tall people may have a problem with getting off the toilet (I'm 5' 9", and once I bopped my head on the far wall). And, they will have a problem in the shower. But, the hot water is HOT (near instant hot water), plentiful and great pressure (almost got blasted out of the shower stall ;-) ). The bed was a bit firmer than I would have liked, but it was clean. But, while the pillows looked full, I used both of them, sleeping on my back). Yea! Free and SECURED Wi-Fi. While the signal was great, it was a bit slow to load in spots. But, overall, no complaints about it. However, there is one thing that you better get use to, real quick. Or, you're gonna have bruised tootsies. And, that's the bed frame is a box, that extends to the end, and one side of the mattress. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! And, if you don't mind a little drive to eat meals (unless you're a microwave chef), even an extended stay is doable.

Its location is superb, within walking distance of good restaurants and major tourist attractions. The bed was extremely comfortable, better than at a high-priced hotel we visited later in our trip. I liked our room's high ceilings. The motel's decor is very 1980's but very clean and comfortable. Our room had a refrigerator and a microwave; my sister-in-law had a fridge but no microwave. We had a wall-mounted clothes rack, my sister-in-law may have had a closet. Our room was farther from the road and very quiet; my sister-in-law was closer to the road and had some noise. Each room has two wood rocking chairs outside the door, under a large overhang offering sun and rain protection. The people sitting outside are friendly. Our room had a comfortable sofa with a movable floor lamp. We had a nightstand with a good reading light on one side of the bed. I don't know whether we could have moved the floor lamp over to the other side of the bed. The motel is close to downtown Tombstone and these major attractions to which we walked: the Courthouse Museum, the Bird Cage Theatre (museum), the Rose Tree Museum, the Crystal Palace bar, Big Nose Kate's Saloon, the Longhorn restaurant, Undertaker's Coffee, Cowboy Coffee Bar, gunfights on Allen St, carriage rides on Allen St., various shops, etc. Here are some places farther away that we would probably have needed to drive to. Boothill Cemetery is one of them.

The bathroom vent and the tops of the light fixtures were caked with thick layers of dirt and dust. Each time the facilities were used, debris actually fell down, which was both unpleasant and unsanitary. The floors were so filthy that simply walking around the room turned the bottoms of my white socks nearly black. In addition to the poor housekeeping standards inside the room, the exterior areas were just as troubling. Pigeons were everywhere, along with their droppings, which added to the general sense that the property is not being properly maintained. The condition of the hotel gave the impression of long-term neglect rather than an isolated oversight. The experience at checkout was equally frustrating. The staff member assisting me was rude and, instead of admitting they did not know how to retrieve my receipt, insisted that it could not be done. Fortunately, another employee stepped in and demonstrated how to pull up the information, which made the earlier response seem dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, this stay was very disappointing due to the lack of cleanliness and poor customer service. I would not recommend this property to travelers who value basic hygiene and courteous a

Inn History - Deluxe Queen room

    Inn History

    (15 reviews)

Ye-hawww! We wanted to be near Tombstone's action on our recent pilgrimage to southern Arizona,…read moreand the Inn History definitely didn't disappoint! Our room was replete with Old West decorations, period photographs, and a frontier ambiance while still providing all the modern comforts we "tenderfoots" appreciate. Though relatively new, the Inn History is right next door to one of the town's few original boardinghouses (claiming to have actually hosted Doc Holliday as a patron back in the early 1880s), AND it's just across the road to all the action on neighboring Allen Street - literally a two-minute walk. This, of course, makes it very easy to shop, drop off, and return without your vehicle leaving the inn's parking lot. The inn's complex consists of three buildings, with the upper levels providing commanding views of the distant mountain ranges (in our case, the Chiricahua and Dragoons). There's also a little outdoor commons area near the inn's front entrance with fire pits and a mock jail facade for photos - undoubtedly a nice spot to spend some time unwinding and gazing at the evening stars in warmer weather. Accommodation-wise, I have no complaints about our two-night stay. Water pressure in the walk-in shower was good and our king bed was comfortable. The room included a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, and free wi-fi. And, true to its name, the Inn History provided a mini history lesson for visitors with "interactive" decor that allowed access to related information and historical tidbits through QR code tags. The front office let us know that we could call them if in need of anything; otherwise, they don't make it a habit of bothering guests during their stay. (We never needed to call.) On a tight schedule, choosing what to see around Old Tombstone can take some planning since most of the town's attractions "roll up the (wooden) sidewalks" around 5:00 pm, so it's really great to avoid the hassle of finding parking and, instead, being able to simply walking back and forth to your room. I wholeheartedly recommend making reservations at the Inn History if planning a visit to Tombstone; I know I'll be returning on my next visit, as well!

My experience at the Hidden Oasis was an extended stay, around 3 weeks and their casitas included everything I needed to feel at home, including wifi. I hope you have the pleasure of a wonderful meal prepared by Max and story time about Dragoon, the previous owners of the Hidden Oasis, Max and Chad's life and much more. The meditation labyrinth was a favorite spot of mine to enjoy a moment and take in the outstanding scenery of the surrounding mountains. To completely experience the Hidden Oasis I highly recommend enjoying some bourbon in the hot tub under the stars and watching the sunset by the fire pit. It's quite a show. If you need to stock your fridges and shop for essentials during your stay I recommend: Benson, AZ - 17 miles away (SafeWay/Walmart) Willcox, AZ - 25 miles away (SafeWay) Local Activities include hiking and exploring the wineries in Willcox. Pearce, AZ is a local ghost town with a couple of shops that is 20 minutes away. Whether it's for a night or a week I think you will love your stay at the Hidden Oasis.
