We stayed there on the 22-23 of December. It was gorgeous. I want to thank this place for being so welcoming and warm. It was off season so it felt like we had the town to ourselves. What a great little place to live in solitude and rejuvenation for a temporary reset! We were the only two staying in the entire place and it added a sort of eerie warmth to the trip. Everything was fine except that the establishment allows smoking (and even encourages it by providing ashtrays) on the upstairs porch, which would otherwise be a delightful place to observe Bisbee while relaxing. But having to breathe secondhand smoke ruins the experience (and endangers health). Please make your establishment completely smoke-free by prohibiting smoking on the second-floor porch, as well as the main floor porch. Smokers will understand. Thank you. read more

There were some pluses to this place but the bad was too unforgivable! The caretaker on site was friendly. The place was cute. However upon arrival it appears they let someone use my room for the day I wasn't there. The bed was a mess and there were 2 large dead bugs on the bed. Yes, the caretaker seemed surprised. He quickly grabbed the bugs and made the bed. When I requested a refund for the day they rented my room to someone else, they refused. Stating their offer to move me to another room was sufficient. But wait, the other room would not have a bathroom. Sorry, how is that compensation? read more

The best place to stay in Bisbee, hands down! The rooms are clean and the house is well kept for a historical house. We had the opportunity to learn the history of the house throughout town which made it even better to stay there! It is situated in a part of town where you can walk around town and not have to drive which we enjoyed. The decor really brings the house to life and brings the history to the present. The caretaker is amazing, friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back when they are serving food. There is an area to play board and card games which was nice. We played some good old fashioned games which we enjoyed. There is a sitting area out back where it's nice and quiet. The sitting area out front is peaceful (especially at night) and has a great view of the mine as well as part of the town. Coffee, tea and a light breakfast was served. Just right to start the day and explore the town! If you are looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend this place. If you believe in the paranormal you might get lucky and might have an experience. If you are not into the paranormal, that is ok too! The history alone is worth it. read more

We stayed at the Oliver House during April of 2022. The rooms are extremely well-priced, and they're located within walking distance of Main St in Bisbee, which makes it walkable from bars in the evening. The view of Bisbee is beautiful, the rooms and bathrooms were clean, Wi-Fi is available, breakfast and coffee are free, and other guests were super nice and willing to make friends. Tricia, the host, was beyond friendly and accommodating. She made us free coffee and breakfast while we were there and gave us recommendations for what to do during the day. There's an outdoor piano on the patio which was a nice surprise, as well as two very friendly, adorable dogs. In addition to the outdoor patio, there's a patio on the second floor with a couch and bed. Super cool space. If you're looking for a fun, quirky place to stay in Bisbee where you can meet friends and explore downtown Bisbee, this is a great option. We'll definitely be returning. read more

This place was one of the coolest hotels I've stayed at in a long time, it reminds me of Seattle in the 90s. Holy crap, the place is amazing! It's a cool old house with an awesome vibe. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the home-cooked food is tasty, the bar is always open, the hot tub is...well...hot and refreshing, the views are great....I can't say enough good stuff about The Oliver House. Trish and her staff are super accommodating. They really bend over backwards to make sure everyone is good to go. She gave us tips on the best places to eat, live music, stuff to see, where to ride, etc. We even saw her out in town a couple times and she gave us more tips and suggestions. Stayed here for one night. Had an issue with the hostess and one of employees. I walked into the breakfast area and was accused of urinating out of my hotel window which NEVER happened but should have since I got charged 75 dollars extra for it. What did occur was the make shift screen insert left by the window to keep bugs out fell to the ground when trying to insert it. Due to the screens falling, the lady fabricated some elaborate bullshit to charge extra so she could buy some heroin probably read more

This was pretty much the only place we could find in the heart of town, without a two night minimum, for a reasonable rate, where we also got our own bathrooms. With those sorts of requirements, we had to let other things slide. Like say, decor. Or knee-room when you pee. Our room was well, hideous. Wood-paneling, drop ceiling, fluorescent light, ugly art. The shower was just a box, built in the corner of the room. The toilet was in a former, tiny, closet. However, I think we got the ugliest one. The others that I saw had the pretty paint colors, and cutesy touches one expects to see in a B&B. Though, the shoddy bathrooms were universal, with the exception of the shared one. It was rather nice. An unexpected upside was the availability of good eats in the kitchen. When breakfast time came around, I found things like organic half and half, locally roasted coffee, sprouted wheat raisin bread, raw sugar. (I also noticed they had a composter, and harvested rainwater.) There wasn't a set breakfast, or breakfast time. It was a much more casual / help yourself kind of thing -- which was just fine by me. All in all, it worked out well for us. I would stay there again, but not spring for the "better" rooms. If you choose to stay at Oliver House, don't expect a Victorian B&B with frilly lace doilies everywhere. Think of it more like a European hostel, or staying in your hippie aunt and uncle's guest room. read more

Trish is awesome and Oliver House is a great haunt for all of the paranormal geeks out there. (like me) Trish is very accommodating, makes fabulous german pancakes and will fill you in on everything you need to do in Bisbee. She's doing a great job renovating the place. Some rooms don't have bathrooms but this is disclosed, those rooms are less expensive and there are a few nice restrooms right in the hall. Definitely not something to complain about. So pumped stayed here for a bachelorette party and rented out the entire hotel. The owners welcomed us into their home and welcomed all 14 of us. All though the ghosts couldn't scare us we think their mad at us for keeping them up all night as we celebrated until the early morning. We had a blast and I will come back for sure! Never been to Bisbee before. What a great weekend away from Phoenix. This is a wonderful several day trip. Disappointed that I didn't hear about the ghosts! However, while Spartan, this place has a ton of character. Trish, the owner innkeeper, is a great host and spent time with us mapping out our activities. She then made a wonderful breakfast for us. Delightful. Remember, I said Spartan, not fancy or luxurious. Somehow it seems to work well in Bisbee. I would go there again. read more

This was an excellent place to stay in Bisbee. We got a room with a private bathroom for a fair price. The shared restrooms were so clean we probably would have been fine with a shared restroom as well. The house was old, clean, a little creepy, but homey! Upon arrival, the sweet young woman who works there (we found out later on that it is the owners daughter) greeted us and said that our room would be ready in 1/2 hour. This was super helpful and nice since we arrived about 3 hours before check in. She told us everything we needed to know about our stay without being overbearing. The views from the balcony was beautiful. We stayed in room 12 and the room was extremely simple but did the trick. I noticed there were other rooms with larger, king sized beds which may have been a better option for us since that is what we are used to at home and the queen in room 12 felt small. I am not gonna lie, there was a bit of an eerie feel to this hotel probably because of how old it is and all the tall ghost tales about it. I think next time I will bring something to help me sleep because I felt like I was in a light sleep all night instead of a deep sleep. In the morning we went down for breakfast and that is truly what made this stay a 5 star experience. We got 1 free breakfast with our stay. The coffee was from a local roaster and it was amazing. Usually we end up going and getting coffee somewhere else after getting basic hot coffee at a restaurant, but this was an exception. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast burrito. The biscuits and gravy were clearly homemade and were sooo yummy. The breakfast burrito was perfect. It was simple but hit the spot. She makes a green sauce to dip the burrito in that is very tasty. We also got a side of bacon which was very good quality and not super salty like most bacon. We were wondering if that was local as well. Over all - great stay at the beautiful Oliver House. First time staying the night in bisbee and chose Oliver House. So neat staying in an old house that is definitely not your typical hotel, and that's a good thing. The rooms and beds are extremely clean and my boyfriend and I slept wonderfully! I LOVE TRISH! She is the best host, and makes sure her guests are always taken care of. This wonderful, center of historic Bisbee B&B is the best for your money, time, and sanity! Close to everything you want to do in Bisbee, a delicious breakfast (I'm going back for Thanksgiving!), and open spacious rooms. I adore the dining room, right next to the kitchen where Trish can be found cooking up a storm! Our stay was quiet, even during a loud festival weekend. We shared bathrooms the first time 'round--this time I'm going for the personal shower. :) The house is beautiful and simple, not overdone. There are awesome views from shared patio(s) at all times of day. The bed was so comfy, and hot coffee was always ready for us--day or night. No TV or radio in the room, but that is OK with me. Parking is close (which can be a chore to find in Bisbee), and as you enter, you cross over a cute foot bridge which then leads you to the yard and the spacious front porch. The Bisbee Oliver House was built in 1908, reportedly after the original building, built in the mid 1800's was burnt in a fire. I'm not into the paranormal hype, but a lot of the guests were. My husband, friends and I were super excited to visit the Oliver House beacause of it's haunted tales and historic value. The owners seemed nice enough, but I felt like the room was missing something. The beds were VERY uncomfortable and everything was white (I guess for easy laundry) but I was expecting the Plum room to at least be a little purple. The house it's self was full of personality, which was to be expected, but the decor was less than I expected. Everything had a price, or a store connected to it. Whereas I love seeing small business owners helping each other out, everything from the coffee to the soap came with a sales pitch which was a little awkward. I can only hope as they make more money, they add more personality to the rooms, and maybe upgrade the furnuture. (And maybe redo the bathrooms cause that shower was teeny tiny) Maybe we'll visit again in a few years. read more

What a great find! We stayed there because of its haunted past but the new owners are the reason why we will come back for more. The breakfast was delicious and the owners couldn't be more gracious. On our stayed we got served the fluffiest pancakes and bacon I've ever seen. There was also a nice spread of coffee, tea, juice, fruit and bagels. There are two patios that are perfect to read on in the morning and evening. The b&b is getting a makeover and isn't quite finished yet, I will be excited to see the changes next visit. read more

This was our second time staying at the Oliver House with the new owners and we absolutely love it! The owners are so welcoming and low key. They have beautifully updated the place with the intention of keeping its amazing historical look. The room are clean with new bedding and wonderful soaps from a local business. Our first time at the Oliver House! The bed was so comfortable that if there were ghosts, I must have slept right through their shenanigans. The owners are laid back and make you feel right at home. The place has that a historical funky vibe that embodies the Bisbee wild west spirit. A yummy breakfast, a porch with a view, a large parking area close by (a BIG plus!), everything within walking distance...I'd say you couldn't ask for more! We had such a great time! The house has such a cool, authentic, historic feel to it. We stayed in room 13 and we did freak ourselves out a little but it was all in our heads. The claw foot tub was fun, the bed was fairly soft, and the decor and linens were clean and modern. The owner is such a down to earth person, she made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Even with our two crazy puppies we brought! The breakfast was delicious German pancakes with bacon and juice. Highly recommend!! read more
