My family stayed one night at this inn. We were greeted on first night by the dog during check-in. You have to buzz in to enter into the office. The dog was quiet. Room - was nice and clean. Breakfast- included in the price. You can order from the menu. My son loved the pancakes. Accordingly to my son, breakfast was good. My daughter only ate cereal. Typical American kid gravitated towards cereal. Totally recommend this place for families. read more

We found this hotel as a place to stay after our camping and hiking trip to Chiricahua National Monument. I honestly don't think I'd ever visit Willcox again, but if you ever find yourself needing a stopover, I'd definitely recommend this hotel. The service was excellent and friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and they stocked plenty of fresh towels. Plus, they offer a complimentary breakfast--made fresh to order from their menu, which really impressed me! It's a good-sized property with lots of rooms, plenty of parking, and a cute courtyard in the center. There's also an adorable coffee shop just two houses over, easy walking distance, with a huge "COFFEE" sign you can't miss. The bed was comfortable, the location was convenient, and the staff was friendly. (We accidentally left our cheese from the wine festival in the fridge in our room when we checked out. Luckily, we were still driving around the town and the front lobby saved it in case we came back, instead of tossing it away.) The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options such as pancakes, French toast, and breakfast burritos. A cute fur baby will greet you inside as well. Hotel review for Arizona Sunset Inn: Wilcox Arizona. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the Arizona Sunset Inn. Unfortunately, the room I was assigned was filthy and hadn't been cleaned. Upon entering the room, I was shocked to find dirty wet towels on the bathroom floor full of blood. Looked like a crime scene. If I'm not mistaken it could have being blood from a women's period. A large laceration on somebody's arm. Or the towels used to clean a crime. That's how much blood they were stained with. Hard to see on the picture. But when the towels were fully opened you could appreciate the crime a lot better. The trash cans were still filled with garbage from the previous guest, and the bed had clearly been used without being changed. The body shape of the last person was still present on the bed. Gross. To make matters worse, the room had a terrible odor that lingered throughout my stay. I was really looking forward to a comfortable and relaxing stay, but the condition of the room made that impossible. I called the person that checked me in several times but she didn't answer nor called me back. It was 1 am cause it was a last minute booking and I just needed a place to rest. I covered the bed with a sheet I brought with me and used my own blanket and pillow. And fell asleep for 6 hrs. In the am I told the person that checked me in and she didn't seemed concerned. What a terrible service. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your time and money and go to a better place. The pictures in their web site look very good but the place is worse in real life. Save your trip. This hotel reminds me of the scary movie "vacancy". Creepy. I hope that management will take steps to address these issues and ensure that their rooms are properly cleaned and maintained for future guests. Until then, I would not recommend staying at the Arizona Sunset Inn. read more

The inside of the hotel room itself was clean and looks like it had been recently renovated. One day we had made to order breakfast the other day they only had grab and go muffins. The grounds were cute and dog friendly but would have felt much safer if there was a gate or brick wall. We did not realize Willcox is such an unsafe city but someone threw a huge rock and shattered our windshield at a nearby grocery store. I felt unsafe walking my dog in the common area alone even during the day. At night time there were loud noises and people constantly coming and going. I don't want to speculate but it did not seem like hotel guests. Overall this hotel is trying but if you can avoid this city completely please do. read more

This was such a wonderful stay here at Arizona Sunset Inn!! We are on our trip home from viewing the solar eclipse in Texas and we arrived here at around 11:30pm. The check in process was so easy thanks to Paul. The room was very clean and looks freshly remodeled as well. Beds were super comfy (comfier than mine at home) and we got a great sleep. Included is free breakfast and this isn't just any free breakfast, this is free made to order breakfast. I got the bacon and egg burrito and it was fresh and delicious. Oh my god! I absolutely adore this place. We came from California and this was such a nice place to stay the night! A fur baby will greet you. I know her name is Macey but I'm not sure how to spell it. But she is absolutely a sweetheart. The room was so clean and comfortable. The beds. Amazing. And don't get me started on breakfast. The room was very clean, the bed was cozy, they gave us a complementary upgrade to the suite (without even telling us -- it was just available and we noticed our room was larger than expected!), I could go on and on. They literally make you breakfast in the morning. French toast, breakfast burrito, eggs, cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc. etc. There's a sweet elderly dog that will greet you in the main office. The tv's in the room were huge and updated. The water pressure was great. There is a grassy area for dogs. Right next door is a cute coffee shop. It was quiet. Check-in and out was easy. Everyone was very kind. The location is on the main street, which is very cute driving in. If you need a place to stay, pick this place! I can't wait to book again on my next road trip. read more

Highly surprised and impressed. The owner has done a fabulous job renovating this property. Our room had everything we needed, it was comfy and cozy. Made to order breakfast prepared by Paul on both mornings was perfect. He even offered excellent recommendations for vineyards, tasting rooms and even dinner. If you're on the fence, ask a local and they'll point you in the right direction. Thanks Paul! We even met a couple at a vineyard that was staying here, so we invited them over for a bottle of wine. Don't second guess this location! We stayed in the King Suite and my son stayed in the regular King room and they are Extremely clean, the kitchenette is spotless with beautiful touches. What a gem of a refurbished motel in Willcox AZ. The owners have done an excellent job of restoring this 60's era pair of motels with brand new fixtures and comfortable beds. The included breakfast was outstanding. Roku flat screen TVs in every room. Some excellent restaurants and a great food truck in walking distance. The property is located approximately 35 miles from Chiricahua National Monument, where we spent 2 days exploring. We are not campers so it's great to have a nice cozy motel within a reasonable distance. Room price is very reasonable for the area considering the overall value. The Arizona Sunset Inn gets our highest recommendation. Shoutout to "Macy," the owner's dog who greets all of the guests. read more

I was wary of staying at this hotel after having grown up in Willcox and knowing how it used to be. After reading a few reviews I decided to chance it and support a local business owner as opposed to any of the other chains in town. We were pretty satisfied and I'm glad we chose this location. Check in was a breeze and the lobby was clean with a screen up to minimize contact. The rooms are pretty straight forward but very nicely remodeled, clean and comfortable. I am a local to Willcox and got evacuated along with my dog, Olive, at midnight on the 4th of July because of a gas leak. AZ Sunset Inn was on the BringFido app, their prices were the best in town and they had a room for me and Olive. The room was excellent with basic amenities; microwave, coffee, mini-fridge, hair dryer, DISH TV. I was struck by how CLEAN the room and bathroom were! I got the best sleep I've had in four months since I adopted Olive. The pillows and beds were clean, very comfortable and heaven sent. Even though it's dog friendly it was *quiet.* There's plenty of parking, and it's a block from a Circle K. This was during the COVID restrictions so the Inn didn't have a breakfast. When I got there at midnight I pressed the button for service and the manager was right there, no waiting. If you're planning on coming to Willcox for their wine festivals in May and October or for Rex Allen Days and need to stay over, I highly recommend staying at the Arizona Sunset Inn. The prices are right and they're a few blocks from the festivities. read more

Surprising gem off the beaten path. Stayed overnight when hiking at Echo Canyon. The room was clean, spacious and newly redone. The folks at the desk were quite nice. I definitely will be staying here again the next time I'm hiking the Chiricahua Mountains. Really thrilled with this quaint, quiet, clean little hotel. So much better than one of the big chain hotels. The little things that big chains have cut out, like sufficient towels or a shampoo bottle with enough shampoo for two people: the Arizona Sunset had just what was needed. A little farther from the expressway, but totally worth the 3 min drive to be away from the din and dust of the big trucks and cars going 80 mph. Highly recommended this hotel! read more

GREAT decision to stay here! We were going to push through to Lordsburg, New Mexico, but decided instead to stop in Wilcox. The town is super cute (a couple of wineries and antique stores with great fines). And this hotel is a gem! We were put in the suites with two queen beds. The rooms were totally renovated with INSTAGRAM like decor, a functional kitchen, with real plates and silverware, And a living room. There's a dog on the property who is so sweet and will greet you and let you pet her. The breakfast was hot and hearty. Safe location as well with cameras across the property so if your car is loaded up, you may not need to worry too much. read more

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The bed was incredibly comfortable and i got a much needed goodnight sleep. The shower was great. This is the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. The blankets and sheets were very clean as well as the rest of the room and the bathroom. The room smelled clean when we walked in. The views out of the windows are beautiful in the morning. Visiting Chiricahua in August and decided to stay at the Arizona Sunset Inn. A great decision as the Inn has been nicely maintained. The room was clean, sufficiently spacious, the bed was comfortable, and you're within walking distance of the historic section of Wilcox. Room A/C was typical for a hotel. While the location isn't far from the train tracks it wasn't bothersome. I would definitely stay here again. read more

My husband called The Arizona Sunset Inn a gem. It definitely was!! We were planning our yearly trip to Apple Annie's Orchard with our granddaughter. I needed a hotel that had an additional room for my insomniac husband. My husband usually has to hang out in the bathroom with the computer so as not to disturb me and our granddaughter. I read reviews on Yelp and Travel Advisor on the chain hotels in the area. They were either really expensive or had other issues that I just didn't want to deal with. I came upon The Arizona Sunset. I called and spoke with Nick, who was very nice and accommodating. I asked him about the "Suite" and if it was available for Friday night. Lucky for me it was!! After some thought I called Nick back to see if the "Suite" was also available Saturday night and if he could hold it for me while I talked to my husband about staying an additional day in Wilcox. He said that wouldn't be a problem as long as I called him back to let him know if we were staying or not. Well let me tell you The Arizona Sunset Inn Suite is really SWEET!! It is a 1 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. Very clean!! There are 2 queen beds in the bedroom, big screen TV hanging on the wall, dresser and armoir . If you go through the door that connects the 2 rooms you will find a spacious living room with an L-Shaped leather reclining sofa (it is used but very clean), a big screen TV hanging on the wall, dinette set for 2, a second full bathroom, a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, dishes, coffee maker, microwave oven, and a double sink. Both TV's have Dish Network. This was absolutely perfect. My husband got up several times and could use the kitchen or the bathroom without disturbing me or the grandkid. The owners purchased this property about 4 years ago and have done a good job redoing the rooms. There are some minor things that they could do to help travelers. One of them would be to put together a list of restaurants (some that deliver?) and points of interest in the area. This one is from the Grandkid... maybe belgian waffle maker? That is her breakfast of choice in hotels when we travel!! I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend The Arizona Sunset Inn to anyone traveling near Wilcox, AZ Thank you for making this stay enjoyable!! read more
