The pool house didn't have towels and had trash everywhere. The parking lot felt safe as long as you parked near the entrance. There is a Tesla charger in the parking lot. They offer free breakfast daily starting at 6am. They had your typical muffins, cinnamon rolls, bagels, fruit, yogurts, milk, etc. Overall, it was an okay place to rest our heads on a road trip but I felt like I paid too much for a sub par hotel.

The carpets looked like they needed a good vacuum and the room itself looks a bit outdated. Our room overlooked the desert and (for some reason) a rusted boat less than 10 feet from the window that looked like it was being repaired. It was pretty creepy. Sadly, the best part of the "continental" breakfast was a bowl of Kellogg Frosted Flakes; only other options were granola bars or fruit cups in syrup. I guess it served its purpose as a Super 8 since we were traveling with a dog and needed a pet friendly place for the night. However, their pet policy is needlessly strict about where your dog can enter the building (back door only no matter how close your room is to the front entrance). Just a cherry on top of a list of reasons why not to come back.

There were at least two dead (huge) New Orleans-style cockroaches on the bathroom floor. But the kicker was the bathroom window actually would not close, and I was basically exposed to anyone walking behind (it was the ground floor) that wanted to hop into the bathroom. So when I went to sleep, I just sort of piled all of the extra furniture in the room against the bathroom door.
