Two stars for a clean/comfy bed and indoor pool. Besides those things - would not return. The room smelled heavily of cigarettes and whatever else people are smoking these days. The carpets looked like they needed a good vacuum and the room itself looks a bit outdated. Our room overlooked the desert and (for some reason) a rusted boat less than 10 feet from the window that looked like it was being repaired. It was pretty creepy. Sadly, the best part of the "continental" breakfast was a bowl of Kellogg Frosted Flakes; only other options were granola bars or fruit cups in syrup. I guess it served its purpose as a Super 8 since we were traveling with a dog and needed a pet friendly place for the night. However, their pet policy is needlessly strict about where your dog can enter the building (back door only no matter how close your room is to the front entrance). Just a cherry on top of a list of reasons why not to come back. read more

This place is definitely in need of updating, but if that's no big deal to you, then it's no biggie. It's a shame the vending machines were so empty and broken. One of the side doors were broken too. Hopefully they get those fixed soon. The pool was fine, but the chipping paint had me worried about lead. Sigh. This hotel could really be great.... I selected this hotel because TripAdvisor has it listed having 4 stars. I have NO idea how that rating happened. The woman at the front desk when we checked in (and still there when we checked out, poor thing) was very polite. Her husband was curt and just not personable. I felt sorry for his wife. Anyhoo....This property does have an indoor pool and jacuzzi right off the lobby, which is a nice feature if you're staying a while or traveling with kids. This hotel is not handicap accessible. No handicap parking, gravel lot, no entrance ramp, no elevator. I booked a non-smoking King via the Wyndham app, but somehow my booking translated to a SMOKING King room. I have horrible allergies, so that's not an option. NonSmoking Kings were sold out, so we recv'd a 2 queen room on the 2nd floor. Fortunately my leg & hip were able to make it up & down. This hotel still allows smoking. Non-smoking rooms are typically on the 2nd floor, this place has it reversed. The entire 2nd floor, from about the 3rd step up and the entire hallway reeked of skunk weed from the time we checked in til the time we checked out. Someone sprayed air freshener in the AM, but the skunk weed canceled it out between me going up the stairs and coming back down, loading the car. Our room, 222, smelled of smoke (and funk) the moment we stepped in. Fortunately I travel with a candle & a melty tin, so I fired them both up before I even started to unpack. The rooms are a good size with sink & vanity separate from the toilet & shower (super convenient when traveling with another or several) but could use a 2nd nightstand. The outlets in our room were sparse. 1 behind the nightstand (2 if you want to unplug the only bedside lamp) and 2 at the vanity. I travel with a power strip cube, so fortunately we were able to plug in my husband's apnea machine and charge our devices in the nightstand. Housekeeping in this hotel is awful. The TV screen was one big swiping smear, the vanity under the coffee maker was soaked, bubbly and sprinkled with what looked like laundry soap granules. I didn't think to take a picture because I was in the middle of unpacking when I discovered the mess, I totally grossed out and immediately cleaned it. I wish that was the worst I found, but it's not. I'm pretty sure housekeeping uses paper towels or napkins to clean, because I found a filthy shred on the vanity light. There were short pieces of hair stuck throughout the bathroom area in the shower, on the vanity & toilet seat. And the crowning glory? DooDoo on the toilet seat and the outer front & inner back of the bowl. I have NEVER encountered this in a Wyndham property EVER. I wiped down the front of the bowl with our hygiene wipes and wrapped that toilet like a Christmas present before I lowered my pristine backside. One mini bar of soap, one mini shampoo, no conditioner. Towels were small & cheap with faint stains. The shower is a fun game, especially if you don't have your reading glasses when you step in, coupled with the visual instruction being posted sideways (see photo). Mattress was OK, a bit broken down/saggy. Linens on the bed were just OK. Sheets were soft but cigarette burned, blanket was one of those gross fleece things, decorative cover was typical Wyndham, albeit stained/snagged. Continental breakfast consisted of Cheerios or Frosted Flakes without milk, fruit cups, weak coffee. The water for tea was the HOTTEST with the strongest stream that I've ever encountered. So YAY that. This place just needs an overhaul. At first I thought maybe this was a new acquisition, however the poor cleaning, skimpy amenities, broken machines and haphazard maintenance say otherwise. This property has such potential based on the location, room size & indoor pool, unfortunately miserly owners make this place one I will not visit again or recommend. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for the Willcox Wine Festival. This was the only hotel with vacant rooms...now we know why... This hotel was so disgusting. It had stains on the walls in almost the whole entire room, and the bathroom. Drips of unknown fluid...so gross. Some drops looks like blood, some like urine, some like vomit; all clearly not cleaned within the last decade or so. The vending machine was the most broken down, dilapidated out dated PoS we have ever seen and I've attached a picture as well. The tile in the bathroom had black mold growing everywhere. The bed was so uncomfortable and the sheets/pillow were itchy and disgusting. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you have absolutely no other option and a bed is mandatory.... read more

This is the worst Wyndham Properties I have stayed.. First they lied said they had a king size bed they didn't they said the spa was working it wasn't. The halls smell smokey. The carpet is filthy. There is mold in the pool and spa. Paint is falling off the walls in the pool area and in the pool. The bed the most uncomfortable.. I would never stay here .. I would highly recommend finding another properties.. A very tired and disappointed traveler.. read more

***Long story short-GO TO THE DAYS INN DOWN THE STREET! The exterior looks a little rough but the inside is super nice seems to be newly renovated and the woman at the front desk tonight was great!!*** I stay in a different hotel every 12 hours, this is BY FAR the worst hotel I've ever stepped foot in. The lobby is outdated,the furniture was older than I was. There was holes in the walls, the floor was so sticky you could barely walk on it, the windows were cracked. The best part is the fat sack of ass that they had "working" was hiding in the back, when we came in he stood around for a few minutes before clicking the bell that said "Ring bell for assistance". This nasty, greasy tub of lard comes out from a room in the back and immediately starts saying "GD I guess nobody can f***ing read these days" "you can't be f***ing serious" "lazy f*cks really can't wait" then when said tub of lard finally gets behind the desk he holds up a tiny little scribbled on piece of paper that says "Be back in 5-10" that was NOWHERE TO BE SEEN by the naked eye and says "I guess you can't read huh?" My husband gave him a chance to save himself and said "excuse me?" Before standing up To which he then decided to play it off as though he was joking and tried to laugh it off. I guess thinking we didn't already hear what he had said in the hallway. My husband respectfully told him to f*** off and we left as he was spewing cuss words at us. ‍ I don't know what kind of hillbilly redneck crap goes on around here but that's surely the way to lose business. read more

Great stay here. Location is super convenient. The check in was easy and very fast. The front desk agent was very friendly. I got a room for one with a queen size bed. The room was very spatious, very clean too. There was coffee, shampoo, soap, microwave, fridge... even an armchair. I couldn't use the spa/pool but it's heated. The breakfast was very good, waffles that you make yourself, oatmeal, cornflakes, toasted bread, cinnamon roll, OJ, Milk, tea, coffee, jam etc. Anyway, i'm also used to higher end hotels, but when you book at super 8, you know it's very simple. The night was extremely calm, I couldn't hear anyone. Tip: Unplug the fridge and clock if you don't wanna any noise. Recommendation: maybe add some fruits in the fridge for the breakfast for an healthy side. read more

Friendly staff, horrid conditions. I reserved a room for 2 nights & chose Super 8 since it was the most cost effective bang for my buck. They have essentially the same amenities as their closer, more expensive competitor right across the street. And since my plans didn't include me being in the room other than to sleep, I was fine. I checked in and was given a "smoking" room. I had no clue that existed! My room smelt like an ash tray the moment I walked in... from first glance, everything seemed fairly clean but nothing "wowed" me. My first night was painless but my second was a nightmare. I woke up to a roach flying and bugs crawling on my sheets. I reported this to the staff, who was concerned, but I could not stay there the rest of the night. I didn't ask for a refund or any comps, I just left! I will never stay at a Super 8 & will report this higher reps in the company. read more

The staff was friendly and bed was comfortable, bedding was clean... at least from what I could see with the almost ridiculously dim lights. Walls were paper thin, while trying to sleep (1AM) the person in the room next to me took a shower and it was extremely loud. They then had a phone conversation and I could hear every single word as if there was an opening in the wall. Finally I fell asleep but was woken by his snoring! Didn't stick around long enough to get breakfast but I did see it was provided starting at 6AM. As a female traveling alone, there was a moment I felt uncomfortable when I was first walking to my room, a man I passed had stopped, turn to watch me enter my room and was just staring at me. First time in a hotel I ever felt I needed to dead bolt the door and definitely made me paranoid for the remainder of my stay-- didn't want to run water and wake snoring guy up (it's loud) when departing at 4AM incase he was the man that was staring. If you want some good sleep, and want to feel extra safe-- for only $30ish more there is a Holiday Inn nearby. read more

No just no. This motel is absolutely terrible! We had flying ants in our room! YES FLYING ANTS! And it gets worse! Right after that terrible moment, we go to bed, only to be awaken with bed bugs! My mother and I are never staying here again. The service wasn't great as well. Once we were outside, the front desk employee came out, we told him the situation, and he tried convincing us to stay in his nasty bug infested hotel. We never even got our money back!!! read more

It gets a 1 star because of the check-in reception was so kind and courteous at check-In when we notified him the first room was infested with bed bugs.. He placed us in a different room immediately and we check the beds and they were good. It wasn't until the next day we see some bedbug on the carpet... this place obviously is infested with bedbugs. Be cautious and always check your bed immediately after check-in. When notifying the receptionist at check out she was very rude... her response "well we can't do nothing about it until after the fact." We weren't looking for an accommodation but notifying you and stating the obvious issue. Clearly they don't care about the issue but getting the rooms booked..not concerned if someone is bit by these ruthless little bugs that can cause a lot of health issues! DO NOT STAY HERE ! We stopped here for the night to go to Apple Annie's. It was clean and everything worked appropriately. The rooms are a little cramped but it has an indoor pool & hot tub & only 15 mins to the corn maze. The facility includes breakfast but is pretty slim with only cereal, cinnamon rolls, & waffles (no syrup?) but for the cheap price it works. I'd recommend taking a little tour of downtown Willcox too. It's a cute, little, old time town within driving distance from the hotel. read more

This is by far the worst hotel we have ever attempted to stay at. I lay done on one of the beds and got bit by a bed bug! I pulled back the covers and saw more, plus there was one on the wall. I am very disappointed with my stay here. I asked for a pet friendly room, they charge $10 per pet, which I don't mind, thinking it was for extra cleaning. However, when we get to the room, the room smell awful, like wet dog, urine and ammonia combined. Room was carpeted so there's pee stain everywhere. I stayed at motel 6 pet friendly room and it was tiled all over, by far can not compare the cleanliness with Super 8. All the towels are stained and looked grayish from being over used or poor laundry. Bed is itchy, not sure if bed bugs or fleas, even my dogs were itchy. For using the name of Wyndham this place is giving Wyndham a bad rep. Wyndham should be checking their properties or places using their trade mark to make sure they are up to their standards and people's expectations. Maybe they should visit motel 6 over at Van Horn so they would have an idea how a pet friendly motel/hotel should look like. As far as free "intercontinental breakfast", should have said toast, cereal, make your own waffle, cinnamon bread, oatmeal packs, butter, syrup, jelly, coffee, milk and orange juice, so don't expect anything special. Enjoyed my stay at the Super 8 Motel. Booked three rooms for my family and had a great night of sleep. The rooms were very clean and staff was friendly. Was able to have a great free breakfast in the morning which helped save a lot of money when on a long road trip. Would stay again if going through Willcox. read more

The hotel is good for the price. The room was spacious and clean and the AC kept the room cool. Not all the rooms have refrigerators and microwaves so when making your reservation be sure to make that request. The hot tub needed more chemicals and the breakfast has a limited selection. read more

I was visiting Willcox to attend a wedding for a friend of mine. I enjoyed my stay at the Super 8. Found the staff to be really friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. My room had a microwave, iron, hairdryer, fridge, coffee maker and WI-FI access. It was really nice to be able to go swimming in an indoor pool during December. I would highly recommend for anyone who is passing through or is planning a visit to Willcox to stay here. read more

This wasn't bad as far as super 8 goes. The water pressure in the shower was good, the temnperature control was a bit squiffy. The breakfast had oatmeal packets along with thenormal fair. The hallway smelled of smoke as the non-smoking rooms were across from the smoking rooms. Inside the non-smoking room it was fine. It was an ok place to stay at, and it was just off the interstate and easy to get to. The person at the front desk was polite, but was nothing special. read more

I was not very impressed. The property is bad need of updating. I had to take a 2nd floor room because the cable on the 1st floor was not working. No elevator, stairs only. The Bannister was wobbly on the stairs, and black tape was used to cover up holes in the carpeting of the stairs. The management had notes taped up at the front desk about $500 dollar penalties for smoking in the rooms, $300 penalty for undeclared pets, etc... My problem is not with the penalties, which are excessive, but rather taped up handwritten notes? At least have a proper sign made up. My room did not have a fridge or microwave. The only ice machine was downstairs and it was broken during my stay. The front desk had ice but he literally scooped ice from a bag into my bucket. Not very sanitary if I was going to be using the ice for my drinks. Luckily I was just icing down bottles of soda with it. The carpet in the room was stained, no shampoo was left, the bathroom light took several minutes to turn on to a usable brightness. On the bright side the beds were comfortable and the shower was hot, which after driving from central Texas to here was what I really cared about the most. But for the price which is comparable to other motels near you can do better. read more
