And, if they don'y have a needed part in stock, they can often order it for you. I even ordered a new garage door opener from Sonny, and they matched the online price. AWESOME Hardware Store! EXCELLENT knowledgeable staff. I am a homeowner and rental property owner. TRIANGLE has just about everything you need to do almost all repairs. Supplies & tools. Big stuff to little stuff. Try TRIANGLE before you go to the big box store. The staff knows their stuff and give good advice on how to do a project if you are unsure. I have been using them for over 14 years. They have made window screens, carry screen doors, all types of paint prep stuff and paint. Electrical and construction stuff. Plumbing, garden, and everything else. A big box store in a neighborhood space. Most any project you tackle, they will have the material, tools and knowledge. Very convenient, saves time. Of course, you can get in and out of this hardware store quickly. It packs more hardware than imaginable into a little space. I came in for an extra long drill bit, they had it. I went in to buy stainless steel bolts, they had them. I wanted to hook a portable sink up to old washer-dryer nozzles, they found the pieces that made it work. read more

I have been comming to this local's place for over 4 years. I do maintenance work. As construction people, they are OK. As customer service, it's pretty much what you would expect from who spent their "prime years" out of customer service... a little rough around the edges. Some were rough through and through, but I have not seen those people there in recent vissits. On the other hand I have seen them take the time to explain basic or standard procedures to housewifes and do-it-yourself novices. Clearly they are listening to these reviews and trying to impove. So I would give them 3 stars plus one for sincerely trying to improve. read more

Great local place. It really saves you from going to home depot. Any small project you might have at home, they will help you solve it. Who would have known they had all the hardware I needed for my tie rack. The staff was able to help iddentify what was needed and put together a harrware kit that allow me to complete my tie rack. Would love to go here for everything but their hours are terrible to work with. Closed at 5:30pm during the week, and I even hurried to get there just before and found the doors locked at 5:25pm. If you can make it on time, they have great staff who are very knowledgeable and willing to help solve your issue. But I've given up and will be using other hardware stores who I can count on staying open later in the day. read more

Triangle Hardware is definitely a great find! I stopped wasting my time going to Home Depot and Lowes. Its easy to get in and out, ask a question and get a knowledgeable answer from one of several hardware experts that know what they're talking about. Sonny, the owner is great, and committed to the needs of his customers in the South Bay. If you are looking for a hard-to-find piece of hardware for something custom or something that needs replacing they have it!...and on the very rare occasion they don't, they will order it there on the spot. I went there to get a couple of electrical parts. I asked the owner if he had what I needed, he didn't and tried to sell me a parts that wouldn't work. I disagreed with him and he told me I didn't know what I was doing and got very loud in front of his other customers. I worked for an electrician for 2 years. I knew what I needed. By the time I got out of the store the owner was in my face and pushing his chest up against me like he wanted to fight me. His employees looked embarrassed by his actions and it obvious they were used to it. read more

It's like going back in time when you got actual service. These guys take you to where the item is and get it for you. They help with tiny things and big projects. They have answers. They're quick. They're personable (but they don't hover). And I don't know how but they seem to have what I'm looking for every time. Parking is easy. No waiting. I have been coming here for over 11 years. My only excuse is because they are right down the street. Now I'll never go. Seriously never had a good experience here - neither has my fiance. I hate writing bad reviews. They never act like they remember anyone. They are terrible if you ask them to help you find something. They point you off in some random direction. They have no interest in your home renovation project. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure why any of the employees work at a hardware store. They all appear lazy to me. I have never had a 'pleasant' experience here, but once more, in the middle of a home project & I don't want to fight traffic to HD. Grab the dogs and run down the street to your local hardware store, right??? Apparently I am a glutton for punishment. So today I arrive at 5:23 pm. As I approach the door, an employee walks out, a customer walks in and as I am going around the employee, the door shuts and as I open the door, I discover it's locked! I see the customer and the other employee and I knock on the door and say 'excuse me, it's only 5:23!' and the employee IGNORES ME & SCUTTLES around the corner! I can see him and the customer right THROUGH THE DOOR! I am shocked! I look at the employee who walked out and I said to him, 'Can you ask them to open - I just need a can of paint to finish my project and it's only 5:24 now and you don't close till 5:30!' And he replies, 'don't look at me, I am clocked out'. So I continue to knock on the door as it's now only 5:25 pm. Then they turned off half the store lights, but I could continue to see them moving about in there. Honestly - I called inside several times - at this point there are now three more customers rushing to make your 5:30 deadline and waiting outside at 5:25! You lost four customers and an amazing amount of good will. WHY are you in a neighborhood location? You do not act like a friendly neighborhood store. I finally just shouted into your store that I would just go home AND since I can't finish my project, I'll write the yelp review I should have written years ago. Should have gone to Anza or Artesia True Value. So here I am. I will never patronize your store again and I intend to blast Facebook telling folks the same. It's truly a shame that you sub-exist basically because of location. Certainly not a soul would seek out coming to your store for HELP. I am one of the most friendliest people around, I own and run my own local business and I just can't see giving you any more of my business let alone coming to spend my client's hard earned money at your place. With local stores on both Artesia and Anza, I'll take the longer route next time. I've been treated way better at even Home Depot! That all said, I have to give one shout out to the GAL that works there. Last minute project needs last Fall. The employee (mentioned above) asked if I needed help. I explained to him what I was trying to do and he put me off into a general direction. I told him I needed some help and he said without having my compressor right there, he wouldn't be able to help me. (I simply wanted parts to connect the painting gun to my compressor - he didn't need my compressor - I had all the sizes I needed and the parts I was trying to put together. He just didn't want to work). So, the gal (Ruth?) that works there, she saw this all go down, saw me go to the door to leave, and said, 'let me help you'. She helped me, found EXACTLY what I needed and that is the only time I have had a good experience in this store. You Go Girl. I told you then and I'll tell you now, you're the only good thing in that store. read more

You must have all of the business you need! Won't be driving to Triangle anymore. Will choose the OTHER places that appreciate my business. The absolute rudest CLERKS I've encountered. The gentleman who is very large in stature should NEVER be authorized or privelaged to interact with customers. If you wonder why your business goes elsewhere - look no farther than the RUDE, KURT, NON HELPFUL CLERKS that include both the overweight man and the long haired unhappy man whom supposedly offers customer service. I would offer names, but of course there was no name tag to identify them. I am wasting my time writing this, as I'm sure you must not care or they would not be working there. I like this store. Almost all the people That work there are great. One bad employee does not make the store bad. When I need something I can be there and back in 5 minutes vs 45 minutes to home depot. Where else can you go and buy one screw for 5 cents? We are lucky to have it. Triangle hardware has been a great place to go. I've always gotten great help...sometimes you have to ask but they will help and teach you in store. Remember, they don't have a training program for sales and service...so it's not like Nordstroms...but if you take the initative to ask the staff are helpful and will teach you what you need to know. read more

Sonny at Triangle Hardware is always helpful and courteous (sometimes the other staff do not put themselves forward but Sonny is always friendly and good at recommending the right solution). They have a good selection of items and the personal assistance makes us shop there rather than places like Home Depot. I like to shop at Triangle because it is a local business, convenient and personal and will order anything we need if they don't have it in stock! This is my favorite hardware store. The people are very nice and know what they are talking about. I brought in a part for my toilet and within 1 minute they handed me the right part to fix it. The guys at Home Depot didn't even know what the part was. From finding the right screws to screen repairs, plumbing or electrical these guys are the best. read more

Triangle is the best. They usually have just what you want and it saves a whole hour from going clear over to Home Depot in Hawthorne. They have a lot of very helpful staff, unlike the big Hardware stores like Home Depot or Lowes, where you have to go hunting for someone if you need help. read more

This is a great hardware store, with super knowledgeable staff. I needed some plumbing parts and the guys were very helpful. They had the original KOHLER parts in stock, no waiting, and they walked me through the new install to make sure I had everything to do the job right, without having to come back. That was nice. Also, I parked within a few feet of the front door, wow, talk about easy in and out! I noticed other customers needed help with their projects, such as window screens and fence repairs, but I didn't have to wait for help. I was back home fast and the plumbing repair was done right, no leaks, thanks to Sony and Brian. I am so happy they are here in Hermosa Beach. read more

I have to say that I got on here just because I was so pleased to find good old local neighborhood Triangle Hardware still in the same place it was 40 years ago before I moved away from LA. I don't understand the negative comments posted here, maybe there was a personnel change in the past year, but I doubt it. Coming in to town to work on my brothers house I made several runs to Triangle for many different needed items over this past month and the service there was always OUTSTANDING. Everyone was super helpful and the best part: they always had what was needed. And if there was something that needed to be modified, they had tools and workbench in the back! They have everything, they KNOW everything, and every time I have gone it there I get in and out with exactly what I need QUICKLY, or, if I needed help, the men there have taken the time to see to it that I have everything I need to do the job RIGHT! I don't understand why there are so many negative comments here. I've been coming here for years and never had a problem. The staff might look a little 909-ish, but they are always helpful. Every time I walk in they ask if they can help. Sometimes I need their help and the do a good job. Sometimes I know what I want and they leave me alone. This store has lots of things you can't find at Home Depot. I've returned items, without a problem. Kind of makes me wonder if they other reviews were written from employees/owners of other local hardware stores. Maybe the service was bad for the other reviews, I don't know. I do know that they deserve a chance to prove themselves. I wouldn't believe what reviews write, including what I wrote, but at least see for yourself. If the service is poor write a bad review. If the service is good, write a good review. I will continue going there for years to come. read more
