I've been coming here for the past week! I needed some tools and screws to bolt my tv wall mount to the wall. I also needed some screws for my child's crib. I was able to park directly in front of the store, which is very convenient. Upon entering the store, I was greeted right away by the employees. One of the employees(short male with dark complexion) was extremely helpful and walked me through the store. He went directly to the isle and even explained to me what I possibly needed to finish my project. He asked me if I knew how to mount the tv to the wall and offered his advise. I was so shocked to see how many tools and different types of screws they had in the store. I doubt you'll ever have to go down the hill for tools. This place has everything you need and for a very fair price. I am happy to see a small store like this be so well put together. Keep up the great work! read more

As a brand new homeowner on the peninsula I was very impressed. We went there multiple times as there are a lot of hardware needs for a new home. We spent a fair amount of money in the process. The store has great support and advice, decent amount of inventory and I was in out quickly. Greg was awesome. The prices are more expensive but it felt right spending money supporting this local store. We did have some issues receiving some lumber due to some communication issues with the front desk. However, Dan the manager reached out to us to us personally. He delivered the lumber and went out of his way to make us feel welcome to the peninsula. That personal touch is something you don't find much anymore. We will continue to support this local hardware store. read more

Cool cozy neighborhood hardware store that harkens back to better times. Surprising how much they actually have available in such a small space and while the prices are a skosh higher the service is much better than a HD or Lowe's. A few days ago, my pocket hose exploded. Yep, and I was left standing in the garden...soaked. My new iPhone got soaked, too, but fortunately it seems to be OK. So yesterday I stopped by Lunada HW to pick up a new hose. Turns out my exploded hose (purchased elsewhere) was a knock-off & now I have the real deal, which appears to be well-constructed. Isn't it unusual, in a very wonderful way, to find a proprietor who knows everything about her inventory? Yep, this sweet store is under new ownership, and the new owners do not disappoint. I also got guidance about gardening shears while I was there & bought myself a new pair of those. Have shopped there for several decades, and have always found the staff to be helpful and the inventory excellent for their size. One time I offered to buy a new lock, and the Lunada Hardware representative advised me to save the $$ and then took my now frozen up lock in the back, lubricated it up, and I am still using that old lock. Can't give this place too many stars. You walk in and are greeted by a genuinely friendly smile and a "What can I do for you?" (Like, am I in the 21st century?) You tell them what you're trying to do, and they explain how to do it and show you everything you'll need. You'd think that in such a small place, they wouldn't stock something you're looking for, but in 25 years I've never walked out empty-handed. read more

Love the new and improved Lunada Bay Hardware! The new computer color matching system allows us to buy all our paint there and they maintain a file of our paint purchases in the computer system so next time I need more of the same color it is no problem! I also use the online product ordering which provides over 67,000 products to select from. Anything I need I order on the weekend and by Wednesday it is available for pick-up, no shipping costs! This along with the vastly increased inventory and technical help in the store eliminates all my trips off the hill for my needs. Several months ago I bought a few gallons of paint from a large chain of trusted hardware stores, which happens to be quite close to home, who's name shale not be mentioned (Ace Hardware in South Shores San Pedro) Did I just say that? This morning my chores included touching up the living room walls. Matching the color is critical so the paint had to be completely mixed. Anyway, they refused to re-shake the paint can saying it might explode in the machine because of its advanced years, and it also violated store policy. They did offer to sell me a can of new paint however. I refused the offer and drove to Lunada Bay Hardware where they immediately helped me with a smile. The paint was successfully shaken without any explosions or signs of structural failures. My faith in Mankind and small business has been restored. I am proud to be a loyal customer of Lunada Bay Hardware, even if it is a few miles further. read more

A terrific little store that, despite its size, always seems to have what I need at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the time and hassle saved by not having to drive to Torrance or San Pedro is worth any price difference (not that there's much of a difference in that). They've bailed me out multiple times by having a part or item I needed in an emergency. If you live on the Peninsula and need anything hardware/garden/electrical related, it's hugely convenient to have this place around. read more
