A young lady with beautiful long black hair that goes by Jocelyn took her time on helping me pick the best color for my bedroom walls. I went in looking for a simple gray and white color & didn't realize all of them had different undertones. I felt overwhelmed at first but she made it 10x more easier for me. Although it was a little busy, she still managed to offer me coffee & certainly took her time in providing me with great quality paint. When I entered this store, I felt a little nervous to think that it would be full of men employees only. Just to find out, I was wrong! This reduces trash and saves them money that can be passed on to the customer. However, HD sells small hickory wood logs to use in a smoker. Lowes only sells chunks. I dragged the 30 lbs. of wood to the register and went through the payment process. When I asked if there was a no receipt option, the person working there said, don't worry, it will give you one." I proceeded to throw it away in the trash can as I left. There is no need in most cases to produce a paper receipt. I have an account with HD, give me the electronic option there.

Two days before the scheduled delivery, I proactively contacted customer service to confirm the delivery window and make sure there would be no issues with the drop-off. Despite that, I subsequently received communication indicating that the delivery might arrive outside of the confirmed window. I immediately contacted customer service again and was assured that there should not be an issue. Shortly afterward, I received a call from the delivery driver stating that they were about to deliver the order--even though I had specifically indicated that the order could not be delivered at that time. From there, what should have been a simple logistics issue turned into approximately eight separate back-and-forth phone calls and four rescheduled delivery attempts. Each time, I was given assurances about what could be done to resolve the situation, only to have those commitments subsequently walked back or changed. Ultimately, the delivery was rescheduled to the exact day I needed the supplies on site. This created a significant disruption to my project and put my contractor's schedule at risk. The most frustrating aspect is that I did everything I reasonably could to prevent this situation. I placed the order well in advance and proactively contacted customer service before the delivery specifically to confirm that everything was in order. After all of these failures, the proposed resolution was to waive the $80 delivery fee and provide a $200 credit on an approximately $3,000 order. While I appreciate the gesture, it does not adequately address the amount of time, inconvenience, disruption, and frustration caused by the repeated failures in communication and logistics. This was not a single mistake--it was a series of preventable failures at multiple points in the process, compounded by inconsistent information from customer service and a lack of effective ownership of the problem. I should not have had to make approximately eight calls and repeatedly explain the same situation simply to get a delivery handled according to the arrangements that had already been made. By comparison, I had a significantly better experience with Lowe's, where their staff did a phenomenal job helping me locate and purchase the supplies I needed for immediate pickup. That allowed my contractor to stay on schedule and complete the work as planned. As someone who manages a business myself, I find this level of customer service unacceptable. If I or someone on my team handled a customer situation this way--particularly after the customer had proactively taken steps to prevent the problem--I would expect there to be serious accountability for the failure. This experience has completely undermined my confidence in your company. Unfortunately, based on the way this situation was handled from beginning to end, I will not be doing business with you again. The issue was not simply that the delivery went wrong; it was the repeated failure to communicate accurately, follow through on commitments, take ownership of the problem, and provide an effective solution when there were multiple opportunities to do so.
