I can't recommend Tri-City Turf enough. I had three companies come out to give me a quote to put turf on a slope that had been useless for anything other than collecting weeds. They left a huge mess and instead of digging down 8-10 inches to prepare the area for the turf/lay the sand/stone mixture they only dug down 3-4 inches and piled everything on top of that, making my whole side yard 4" higher than the front yard! I've never seen anything like it. The job was supposed to take 1-2 days but they were done in 1/2 a day because they cut so many corners. Now there is a huge step up between my front and side yard. They also cut my existing wooden fence 4 inches at the bottom so that the door would close over the turf which is now 4" higher than ground level without asking/telling me. We had requested 3 bids for our job. TC Turf's quote was in the middle (and a reasonable bid) noting all the bids were from reliable suppliers from our perspective. What tipped the scale was a couple of factors. One, JK (Jean Kevin) worked with me over the phone when I had realized I forgot about the appointment and was nowhere near my home. While he was at the house, I told him what I wanted, (he had full access to my yard) and called me back to discuss the bid. What was offered was "any" grade of turf I desired (factor two as the other suppliers I would have had to pay more (nominal of course) for the better grade of turf). He sent me samples next day for my review. We selected Tacoma as our choice, top level of the choices to select from. With the sales pitch over and selection of TC Turf along with the turf choice, it was now schedule time. No issues, we agreed to 2-weeks and the team was here on time to begin their work to prep our yard. The turf was delivered on day 2, with the installers here the following day. The team of Miguel and Mauro were very efficient and open to any questions I had before, during and after the installation was complete. My installation was something less than 400 SF and they were done in approximately 3-hours. Another factor is I had noted one of my neighbors having turf installed. We spoke with them where they gave a glowing reference. Everything I stated above was the same reality for us. Lastly, TC Turf from time to time does a Road Show with Costco. As a member, we were entitled to a significant discount which factored into our agreement. With the discount and the guarantee of the work, we became satisfied customers. They are a local company; the turf is manufactured regionally (vs. Georgia for the other two companies) and we prefer when we can to support local suppliers.
