This was my first big renovation project as a new homeowner and hiring AMG Paver Services exceeded expectations by a mile. I told Alex my vision for the yard and he provided professional guidance and recommendations with several options. Once we agreed on a vision, Alex took the time to walk me through every single cost involved to make sure there were no surprises on the bill. Once the project kicked off, Alex, Oscar, Anthony, and Francisco showed up on time every day and sent me a text each morning with their ETA. They thoroughly explained each phase of the project and what I could expect before they got to work. The team was super respectful of my property and made it a point to tidy up the yard at the end of each day. They even arranged walkways to we could still access essential parts of the yard. What stood out to me was the little details and issues they noticed during the project and recommendations to fix them. For example, they noticed there was a slight incline on the patio area which caused water to pool up after it rains. Oscar recommended raising up the patio to improve both aesthetics and drainage. I cannot say enough about my amazing experience with Alex and his crew at AMG Paver Services on our home paver project. I would give them 10 stars! We were originally just going to redo our patio area with Trex, but after getting several estimates, and realizing our patio didn't need to be raised, we found we could not only do the patio, but our entire u-shaped driveway, walkway all around the house, and a mini patio in the back with beautiful Belgard pavers in color "Bella" for less money, making it an excellent value which exponentially increased the look and value of our entire property! I got several estimates for doing a full paver project, and Alex was one of the most competitive, so based on his reviews and pictures I saw of their work, I decided to give AMG Paver Services a try. They definitely did not disappoint and far exceeded my expectations-and I am a VERY picky customer! He did not have the capability to do design, which I felt I needed due to the scope of the project and not being sure how to lay everything out, so I ended up hiring an outside designer from one of the other companies that had given me a quote to do the design phase. Alex, along with his foreman, Oscar, and his daily crew; Anthony, Francisco, Roberto and Julian, were all outstanding. Alex actually spent most days here on site so we were in constant communication and there were no surprises, which I immensely appreciated! They definitely bent over backwards to accommodate my many requests and changes along the way, including increasing many areas to be larger and adding a half circle design at the front door, which were not in the original design. They even did custom cuts to half size on all the coping pieces I used on our steps because I didn't like them full size after some of them were installed without charging us any extra. The crew were always very hardworking, cheerful and respectful of our property, cleaning up as much as possible each day. The project took just over two months since it was larger and also got delayed by rain several times.But it was all worth the wait! Oscar is a perfectionist and makes sure things are done correctly and all of their cuts and curves look perfect! After they finished the install and before they were sealed, I will admit I was dismayed the pavers did not look as good as I had hoped overall. I had planned to get the pavers sealed to ensure their endurance, and I do highly recommend doing this. I had contracted this with Alex in the beginning, but I ended up using another company (Clean & Seal Pavers, Inc.) for the sealing, because the product the other company used (Sealthane) made the colors very deep and rich and now look amazing, while the product Alex uses keeps the pavers at a more natural/muted look-but wasn't the look I wanted. There was an issue with the sand used, as Alex uses polymeric sand (which is one of the best kinds and a very good, glue-like sand), but the sealer company said this type of sand would cause a white film to show over time...so I had the sealer company completely steam clean the pavers, removing as much of the polymeric sand as possible and adding regular joint sand, which the sealing company said would be as good as polymeric in the long term since it was sealed. Please see for yourself on the attached pictures how well this turned out and I also included some pictures of the before sealing to show that they will not look very good until after sealing. Alex and his crew recently completed a hardscape job at my home. From demolition of driveway, walkway and removal of bushes and plants, the job took 10.5 days. The crew was professional, courteous, and efficient. The polymeric sand was applied correctly, unlike other jobs I've seen where it is overapplied. I recommend you watch several YouTube videos on paver installation. My wife is very happy with the results and we have received numerous compliments from our friends and neighbors. We worked with the team in May-June 2020 to break down our existing concrete driveway, even out a long dirt patch (enough to fit 2 additional cars), build a retaining wall, and cover up the entire drive way with pavers. It's a large space because we can technically fit about 6 cars on our massive driveway. We've had many neighbors (and even the delivery persons) stop by to compliment our drive way!
