When painted, they stood out like a sore thumb, completely ruining the aesthetic of the fence. We called the owner out to replace the boards. He said the fence served its purpose. We said you would never put this fence on your website as proof of your work. If this was in the front of the house, it would be horrible to look at. It would never be acceptable at a million dollar home. The boards should have been examined before installing, discarding the undesirable pieces as there was plenty of lumber and it arrived before the project began. The owner never fixed the fence after many conversations. We are disappointed with the look and the customer service. This was poor quality control by the owner and the crew that we are now stuck with. I would not recommend this company.

We hired New Again Pavers to replace existing concrete in our backyard with pavers and couldn't be happier with the experience. From beginning to end their professionalism and guidance was incredible and, most important, my wife was beyond happy with the results. German was absolutely amazing as he contributed numerous suggestions as to pattern design, sculpting, landscaping, lighting and overall appearance that greatly contributed to the end result as well as some unexpected finishing touches that put the cherry on top of the whipped cream. Construction isn't dainty, but at the end of each day the crew (who worked their butts off and did a great job throughout the demolition, preparation and installation stages) always cleaned-up behind them. At the end of the last day nobody could tell they were ever here. If you are considering any type of landscape or hardscape projects you will be well served by giving them a shot. read more

Work started on time and completed faster than the timeline he had given initially.. When a couple of defects were found, his team quickly worked to replace those.. I needed a continuation of an existing three-foot retaining wall on the downslope in my yard. Ron, of New Again Pavers, was very responsive with providing a quote and then scheduling the project. The workers arrived on time each day and worked diligently in a somewhat difficult location. They did an excellent job installing the footer, the concrete-filled blocks, drainage pipes, and back-filling behind the wall. Not only could he do every single thing, his price was better than we expected. From the first day he came to the house, until the last day he and his crew worked, they have been simply THE BEST! They work hard, they show up 6 days a week, and say "yes" to everything we ask of them. Pedro is a great resource and will give his ideas about things if we are confused or unsure. We came across an issue with our gas line, and thought we were at a dead end, needing to wait for months for SDG&E to come, but Pedro thought of a great bypass solution and was able to pull it off without changing any of the original design we wanted or the project timeline. Pedro showed up at our house several times a week to check on his team, and worked himself on parts of our project alongside his team. His team is a group of respectful and hardworking men and it was a pleasure to get to know them over the two months they came to our home. Roy Murillo and his team did an amazing job. I designed our front and back yards and am floored at…read morehow they made it into reality! They helped to transform a so-so tract home front yard into something attractive and our pile of dirt back yard into something beautiful. Along the way, Roy was good at communicating with us and his team. His team are masters at their craft and take pride in their work. Their attention to detail with things we didn't even think of was appreciated - such as adding a small grade to the patio so water all flows into the drains they installed. When we miscommunicated or if something wasn't up to our extremely high standards (like we wanted one side of the firepit to be moved over 3/4"), Roy simply had his team fix it. The other big plus was Roy's willingness and ability to communicate with our pool contractor. I barely was involved. Both of them discussed plans and Roy listened to what our pool contractor needed for drainage around the pool and how tile should be placed around the pool cover well. I didn't have to worry about gas lines, drainage etc.. they figured out what needed to be done between them. Roy typically focuses on 1-2 jobs at a time, so there was momentum on our job. We saw many of our neighbors abandoned by their contractors half way, disappearing for a month or more, but Roy's team kept showing up, and got our job done quite quickly. When we had issues with our polymeric sand setting (something to do with our tile - Roy used the same polymeric sand and base at other sites and it worked), Roy and his team persisted in finding a solution. Even though everything was pretty much done, they tried several times to make things right. Finally, we found an Irish product on Amazon that did the trick. It's not a product typically sold in the US and is applied differently from regular polymeric sand. Roy made sure his team watched the videos and went over the instructions with them so the product was applied correctly. We are so happy he helped us find a solution (and we learned a lesson - sometimes it's better to stay away from super cheap, need to clear the store room, product)! In summary, working with Roy Murillo and his crew was a great experience. His pricing is reasonable (I compared several landscapers), and he and his crew truly know what they are doing. I have recommended them to family and neighbors and would work with them again in a heartbeat.

However, there was an issue with our side gate that the contractor stated he would return to fix after I had already paid in full. Due to safety concerns for my children, it was important for us to have the gate repaired promptly so it could close and lock properly. While communication was initially good, it eventually stopped and there was no response to calls or texts. I escalated the issue through Thumbtack, and shortly after, the contractor reached out and resolved the gate issue. The concrete and artificial grass work itself was well done, but the lack of communication regarding the gate repair was disappointing and ultimately led me to update my review.
