This is now my fourth time here and it seems the food keeps getting better and better! I love this restaurant and its crew. And the ambience is also wonderful. Want amazing Mexican food? Come here!!!

Three dishes to hold all the special combo!!! Chicken burrito in the other photo.

Okay, so this was so good we didn't even wait an entire week to go back! And it's not very close to home. I had to make up an excuse to go somewhere on the way. We tried different dishes this time, really to see if we just hit on an extra good day last time. Chimichanga, beef with beans, rice and salad and Chicken burrito with beans and rice. Once again, great food and great value. We're giving up two other Mexican restaurants we frequent so we can afford the gas to go to Tres Torito's once a month, at least!

I am that person who can find something wrong anywhere I go...that being said I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The interior is beautiful with vibrant color everywhere...very inviting and quick service after entering. The drinks came out quickly, along with very good chips and salsa. The meals are huge, no way you are leaving hungry here and they were also brought out very fast...but not too fast if you know what I mean... Overall very delighted with this visit and even with the 45 minute drive it really seems worth it. A+ Service A+ Taste Will be back... Thank you

I enjoyed another meal here. I love their Enchiladas Verde! I had a couple of margaritas as well.

Larger Margarita, totally worth it. We shared!

Great experience! We walked in and already the server set the expectations that our service will be delayed as he was the only server there and they were clearly busy. Very much appreciated! This is a family-owned restaurant and it showed. The brothers took orders while the mom was cleaning up tables and dad was in the back cooking. I wish I had pictures of the food as the portions were large and fairly priced..actually the prices were pretty cheap. I'm sure they have no competition in that area as it was the only Spanish restaurant I could find. I ordered the chicken quesadillas which were massive! Traditionally made with peppers, onions, and loads of cheese. My hubby ordered the steak tacos (flour tortillas-only option) that came with a side of rice and beans. The beans did not taste like they were from a can, they were delicious! This is a small restaurant, about 20 tables if I had to guess but it was nicely decorated with the loud colors like orange, blue, yellow and red. We would definitely return. Food was great and they know how to make margaritas!!

    Chicken fajitas!

When we walked in I was impressed with two things. The smell of seafood heavy in the air and the decor. Definitely takes you back to the ocean and seafood ! The service was pretty good and our server (Alyssa) was spot on. Friendly and always checking on us. She was helpful too giving us suggestions on what to order. So we picked the Special B. Came in about 15 minutes and was huge. Tons of shrimp, crab legs, corn, sausage, potatoes the most amazing juice it sat in. Here's a tip. Bring your own rubber disposable gloves. You're gonna get messy and their gloves fit loose. Awesome place, really good seafood, great service and a pretty good price.

That said, the experience can be very inconsistent. The bar drinks are almost always made far too sweet, and we've had several issues with the food over the years. We've received seafood boils that were cold, bread that wasn't served warm, and even boils with the wrong seasoning. Unfortunately, when we've brought these issues to the staff's attention, they have sometimes been argumentative instead of trying to make it right. When everything is prepared correctly, the food is absolutely worth the visit. However, because the quality is so hit-or-miss, it's difficult to know what kind of experience you'll have each time.

This place is fine to go to during the week day with family…read more The outside and inside of the establishment is a bit outdated. When you walk in, there is a waiting area in conjunction with having a drive-thru. The typical wait time is supposed to be 30 minutes, but I only had to wait for 4 minutes which was nice. The hostess took me to my table. As im approaching my table the floor felt greasy and there was crumbs and napkins I saw on the ground at various spots. I was greeted by a server and she introduced herself. Her name was Jaycee. I really appreciate her hospitality. She gave us some pickles which was so sweet and delicious. When ordering food, my spouse ordered the Catfish meal w/cucumber salad and okra. I ordered the Crabcakes with Coleslaw and Mac n cheese. My spouse loved the Catfish and the sides. I did try a piece of the Catfish and it was good for me too. When it came to my food, I thought it can be room for improvement. The Crabcakes were fried. They were a bit overcooked but, I still ate it with cocktail sauce. The coleslaw was advertised as "creamy", but instead it was watery. I did not finish this side item. The Mac n cheese noodles were a bit overcooked but the taste was there. I could not finish eating this side item either. I did purchase the Carrot Cake and I ATE EVERY LAST CRUMB.

Her French dip looked to be the perfect medium rare and came on a fresh French bread. Hmm, I found it interesting. it reminded me of air popped spinach that was very light and crunchy without a lot of taste. I believe I burned calories of the spinach just by chewing it! I encourage people to try it, just because it is so different. It makes a beautiful presentation. The steak was pretty good and the vegetable medley was delicious along with the salad. The next time I go, I will order the vegetables and the salad and try the toasted raviolis as an appetizer. The drive to Hawthorne Inn is beautiful from Eureka. Drive slowly and enjoy the serenity of the farms and beautiful homes along the way.
