Plenty of parking on the street or side lots. I went in around 1pm, and it wasn't too busy. Had my choice of seats, indoors or out. I was greeted immediately after walking in, and offered my choice. Went with the patio, since it was such a nice day. The host, server, and busser were all friendly and professional. Wonderful service. The menu was extensive and had loads of tasty sounding items. I went with the nachos that had shrimp, chicken, & beef, with a side of sweet corn cake. Asked for cilantro on top of the nachos, and they didn't disappoint (I LOVE cilantro, though I know it's not for everyone, I'm happy when it's an option on a menu). Onions, peppers, tomatoes and cheese sauce, on big crispy chips. There were so many toppings, I actually had to finish them off with the chips that were brought before my meal. Very happy with this place. 2 drinks, a full meal with lots of meat, and a side dish, and the total was $28. Not bad. read more

I enjoyed having lunch at Hola Mexican Food in downtown Eureka. Even though I was pleased but not wowed by the food there I'd still say that Hola is still a step up from many of the usual mundane Mexican restaurants all over the St. Louis area. So it's just my opinion not the best. For lunch I had a fajita quesadilla and they were quick and provided complimentary chips and salsa while I waited. Service was fine with no issues and the restaurant is in an older building that provides some nice ambiance to the place. I'd go back if I'm in that area of town and hungry for Mexican food but it may be awhile. read more

Accommodating service. We were a large group and servers was very efficient in getting food orders, drinks. As for food, I have ordered an Alhambra from other Mexican restaurant and know what to expect. What I was served , was not what I expected. Rice on the bottom, mushy and sticky with cheese sauce slopped onto one side. Most Alhambra dishes I have had were chicken, beef, bacon and fish all sautéd together with peppers. First, what I really liked.... They give each person their own little salsa bowl. SO nice!!! I've never been to a place before that does that, and I think ALL Mexican restaurants should follow suit! Secondly, the service was QUICK, and FRIENDLY, and ATTENTIVE. We were a large group and the waitress had NO problem splitting the checks for everyone. Again, SO nice. Now, the food was okay. I had the Enchiladas Verdes which were good. It came with rice and beans. I notice their website says it's "A Fusion of Tradition and Modern Flair!" Not sure where the modern was because their menu was pretty much like any and all Mexican restaurants in the Midwest. Liquid cheese on damn near everything. I know most Americans love that, but I think it's disgusting and ruins perfectly good food. But that's just me. We dined here for a lunch on Sunday. We were traveling and in Eureka for a quick turn around trip. The food was good and plates were large. I had a la carte carne asada tacos (2) and my husband had a chimichanga. Also a large plate. For dinner and a margarita, our bill was $32 (super affordable) and the service and food was great! read more

Hola! Both a greeting and the name of this charming restaurant. Once housing the Eureka City Hall, the building was expanded and have a pretty good size dining room and bar area. The dining room has booths for 4 and near the windows, booths that hold 6-8 patrons. The menu was huge! A whole lot of options at a reasonable price. My wife is not a huge fan of Mexican food, but knowing that she could choose chips and queso was fine for her. We were there for an early dinner. I suppose that diners at that time receive free chips and salsa. Maybe all day? Not sure. Anyway, on to my dinner of arroz con pollo (chicken and Spanish rice). It is normally topped with queso but I asked for that on the side. This is served with small tortillas. I made little burritos with the dish. The service was very attentive and friendly. Hola has a great selection to satisfy a lot of preferences. I ordered a seafood fajita dish, which is unusual for my norm -- but it was really good. My daughter asked about their strawberry margaritas and how sweet they are (because she doesn't like to taste much of the alcohol). The server said she can tweak it for her, and she did -- and my daughter enjoyed it. They do have an outdoor seating area with fire place that is really nice, too. read more

Adios! Our food was very bad. I got queso fundido- overwhelming taste of dirty jalapeños,not much cheese. I could overlook that, maybe some people like that much jalapeños. Birria tacos-worst ive had! Its my goto when i see it on menu. It was 3 cold thin tortillas,dry birria and NO cheese!! Never seen it before. Tortilla should be grilled with meat and cheese inside melted. This was the laziest preparation ever. Wife got steak and shrimp fazita. Came out sizzling. Steak looked dull and had no flavor. Really great food. Had the queso fundido and carnitas. Both were excellent, queso was full of chorizo unlike a lot of places that just has a bit sprinkled on top. Carnitas we're tender and delicious. This was my second time here and both times have been fine/ok. Nothing too special. This last time the service was slow (they seemed a little short-staffed), it took about an hour to get our food.
