My appointment was yesterday. Friend recommended I come here since I just moved to the area, needed a new nail place, and always I love her nails since they're so immaculate and detailed. I trust her because she swears by this place. I wasn't expecting $80+ for my set/removal. I wasn't sure what to expect because I didn't see anything about pricing and didn't know how to ask. That's on me. Friend said sets cost about $45 or so and go up by length. I wasn't concerned because I don't get crazy long nails. Removal hurt; definitely flinched more than once. Not her fault; we were both surprised by how difficult the set was to remove. My old tech must've used the strongest acrylic ever because it was getting concerning that the old set wouldn't budge. I knew it was going to be uncomfortable. Nails didn't come out how I was hoping, but I guess they're a lot better than what I came in with? I was going to try a simple design, but wanted to try something more out there and elaborate since I saw so many posts applauding their designs and my friend raves about how they can do anything. Should've stuck with my initial idea as my nails aren't what I was expecting for an $82 visit. The most expensive nail appointment I've ever had and I don't care for them at all. I asked for a neon green and black alien space set. Some nails are stuck to the skin around my nail beds; top coat ran over and was peeling off in the car. Some feel soft and tacky; they keep indenting and getting little knicks from me typing, picking up things, everything. There's green and black stains on my fingers/hands from the colored acrylic. Some nails are bumpy. I said if the design couldn't be done to please let me know; I had loads of other references saved in my phone. She said it would be fine. She cured a part of design half way through and then when it couldn't fit/be done, was going to just...leave it there. A green blotch in the middle of a black nail. I asked if It could be painted over; was told whole design would need to be taken off. I asked if it could please be turned into something else like an abstract stripe or something so it's not just a random green line. Didn't get to say anything as the tech got up to help someone else while my hands were on their final drying. Was checked out by someone else, left, and felt disappointed when I saw them outside. It looked like I did them myself, not paid for someone else to do them. I don't know. I was really excited to try a new place that was so highly recommended; now I'm deciding if I should just keep them on for two weeks since I already made the investment, get them redone as soon as I can, or just take them off myself and give my nails a break. Wanted to treat myself and now I'm just kind of regretting going to a new place and not making the 30 min drive to my usual. Might not have always gotten the set I asked for, but at least they didn't make me cry in the parking lot. It looks like my experience is in the minority so maybe it was just a one off. Friend went the same day/next day and her set was perfect and lovely. My friend was shocked by how much I paid, especially when I showed her what I got. What can you say about a place that treats you like one of the family? This family owned salon is bright, clean and friendly. Lynn, her husband and three daughters own and operate it. Their pedicures are luxurious and relaxing. The spa chairs are nice for a gentle massage. The gel manicure seems to last forever without chipping. Lynn also does brow waxing. Under her skillful hand there is minimal pain and you don't look like you just got a wax. I can't say enough about the service at this first rate salon! read more

Horrible. If i can give 0 stars, I would. Just got my nails done with my friend today and our nails are WRECKED. Pedicure was fine. Then our technician asked if I had dip powder on, I said yes, and they soaked my nails in a bowl and expected me to use the paper towel to rub the powder off. Okay fine. I can do that. Then the powder color I chose was running low, I asked if they were low if it's better to pick another color. Nope! Just used a brush to paint the dip powder on. My nails are uneven, color is sparse in some areas, they're rigid. Horrid. I can't even begin to tell you about my friends nails. They look like her 3 year old niece painted them herself! Please don't waste your time here. The only reason why we went here was because the other Trendy Nail salon was booked full and this one was 5 mins down the road. read more

I loved my experience here. I googled matte nails in St. Louis and this was the first salon to pop up. I made an appointment for 5:00 and was seated at 5:10. Lynn was so helpful and very sweet. Their basic pedicure is also one of the best I've received as they massage a lot more and put more effort into your feet. I was just getting a fill but I had her reshape my nails also and she did a great job. All of their gel colors can be done with a matte top coat also--definitely going back!! read more

This is the kind of nail salon you want to go to regularly. I needed a pedicure for this pool party so I looked at some reviews and found this one. The reviewers were right. The service was fast and gentle. The owner offered to give me a manicure while I was getting a pedicure for only $32 dollars total, just $10 more than a pedicure alone. So, I got my nails done while getting a pedicure - I left thinking, 'so this is how the other half lives!' I felt totally pampered! The staff made sure they were being gentle too. Last manicure I got, my technician seemed to have it out for my hands, so I wanted to make sure I went somewhere that wasn't as rough. The owner runs it with her teenage daughters which are totally sweet and professional. When I go to other salons, I wonder how well the staff is treated and how long they have been working. But, at this place, I didn't feel as guilty because you can tell the staff love each other and just working as a family. So, I think this place deserves 5 stars because the staff was professional and gentle, the service was quick and thorough, the prices were very fair and it's a family business. read more

The staff was very friendly and attentive to my needs. I had two hang nails which the technician took time working on. She continually asked if I was comfortable. I'm very impressed with this place. My friend and myself came here last Sunday to get a manicure while our significant others hung out and watched the Blues game at a near by bar. To say the service was lack luster is is being modest, but they rushed through my service as soon as we walked in... my friend in the other hand had to wait quite a bit while a gentleman bounced from her to another client. There were only two workers in the building as far as I could tell and the client to worker ratio was significantly off. The employees were very pleasant and friendly, but you could tell they were rushing. They convinced me to get the gel manicure because the label promised it would last for 21 days and typical polish only lasted for a week they said of not less. However, it is 6 days later and they nail polish has chipped and began to crack... some nails the polish had completely popped off. Also when we went to pay at the end they said they do not accept American Express, but they had clear signs showing that it was one of the credit card providers they would accept forcing me to pay for my friends manicure as well as mine because of their mix up. Needless to say I will not be returning and I caution those who enter while the place is busy. read more

Went in for a pedi/mani and was very happy with the outcome. I hadn't been in for one in over a year and my feet definitely needed it. They were very nice about helping with my ingrown toenail. My only complaint is it seems the owner's 3 teenage daughters work there? I'm not sure if that's legal as they don't seem to be licensed (no license for them on the wall). Can you even be licensed when you're underage? I don't know. The service was great but I don't know if I'll be back because if they are skipping corners in this area who knows what else they are doing behind the scenes. read more

Service started great and ended very poorly. Went straight in for a pedi with no wait. Halfway through getting my toes done the arm fell off the massage chair. Their chairs are very uncomfortable with little padding. If you have a bad back like I do, you don't want to sit in these and turn on the massager. It really did a number on me and I had to turn in off. The girl doing my pedi was very sweet but spoke little English. She didn't understand that I wanted a design. When finished, I was escorted to have my nails filled in. She did ok with the fill but filed every one of my nails with a serious slant. I showed her the simple design I wanted and she spoke to the owner who said he would do it. He took over for her and I pointed out the slant. He neither fixed it nor did he file any better. I was never sent to wash my hands until the end of service which was odd. He began painting my nails looking at my design and when he painted one the wrong color he snapped at me when I told him so. The flowers he added to the design are the worst I've ever seen. I could've done better myself and left handed at that. When he was finished with the gel polish he told me to go wash my hands which is when I discovered my nails were all jagged. I didn't bother to ask to have them fixed because in my opinion they would just botch that too. So today I'm going to another salon to get a whole new set. Yes, they were that bad! read more

I arrived 5 minutes early and sat for 30 minutes before they brought me to a chair. I then sat for 10 minutes with my feet in lukewarm, then cold, water. My friend gets gel Mani's done here all the time and they last up to 3 weeks. I was so jealous because the last gel mani I had (from another salon) lasted only one week. I decided to give Trendy Nails a try and I'm so glad I did. I was immediately impressed with how clean the place was. Also they got me in right away. I liked how the owners spoke English the entire time we were there. But not only that. The owners Lynn and her husband Andy spoke to us the entire time we were there! They were so polite! Lynn did my nails and she really took her time and she did a great job. I love that they have a large selection of colors compared to the previous place I went to. They also have color changing nail polishes which I have never seen before. They had so many options that it took me close to 10 minutes just to pick the color I wanted!! This is by far the worst nail set I have ever received. I went in and asked for a pedi and gel nail set. Before we even began, I showed them what I wanted and they said "oh yeah, no problem." I also asked them if it would be possible to be done by a certain time because I had to be somewhere (giving them basically almost 2 hours to do a basic pedi and a gel set), in which they also responded yes. So, I felt confident that they knew what they were doing and that we would have enough time. The pedicure was fine, and the woman did what I wanted her to do to my toenails for color. However, I wish I could say the same for my nails. The man did my nails and completely jacked up the color. I kept having to show him what was wrong. He finally decided he couldn't do it, so he made the woman come over to me. Keep in mind I was on a time crunch. I am not a difficult person to please. All I wanted was matte black with a shiny black tip. He could not get the tip straight. At this point, I needed to leave in like 10 minutes, and she had to take everything off and start over. I didn't have time for this. I told her to just paint them a solid color and let me be on my way. I noticed later that my nails aren't even. It is a disaster and NOT what I wanted. They charged me full price, and told me I could "come back" if I wanted. What??? No thanks. read more
