This was done a week prior to the appointment. 2 days prior to the appointment, the salon called to say the stylist will be out for the week, and no one else can do that hairstyle. So they were canceling the appointment, leaving my niece in a bind to call other salons during a weekend. Really, a staff that will be out for a week did not give advanced notice? Like they just decide to take off? Or perhaps she only has that one client for the day and decided that it's not worth it to come in? Who knows? But despite the talent we will not be calling again.

Everything was clean and exactly as you would expect at each Drybar location. I have to say I was so impressed with Jonathan 's and Sara's professionalism. While Jonathan was taking care of my hair, Sara's client suddenly started yelling at her, berating her and threatening to call Drybar's corporate office to complain. This client had been on the phone at the time of her appointment, and continued her conversation even while Sara was taking her back for the wash portion. Given a more than reasonable buffer, Sara tapped the client on the shoulder. The next thing I knew, the client was yelling at Sara about how she (the client) had just needed to finish her business call and was offended that Sara would say anything about how she, too, is working. The client then began putting her fingers in Sara's face, yelling at Sara (and then Jonathan as he tried to help), and huffing around the studio. Jonathan and Sara deftly brought the solution of Jonathan doing the client's hair instead of Sara, and the client sat huffily in the waiting area before coming back to yell at Sara more. I was nervous about trusting anyone with my hair again. What stood out immediately about Rose was her integrity. Instead of taking advantage of the situation or pushing for a quick reinstall to make money, she took a different approach. Rose carefully assessed my hair and told me that the best thing we could do was wait. She worked with me to create a hair care plan focused on restoring the health of my natural hair before even considering extensions again. That level of honesty and patience is so rare and it made me trust her completely. When we finally did reinstall using K-tips, the result was absolutely flawless. The extensions are incredibly lightweight, comfortable, and non-irritating. I genuinely forget I even have them in. Most importantly, I feel confident that my natural hair is still healthy and protected, which was my biggest concern going into this.
