Love that they offer partial body spray tans for a a reasonable price. I was able to make an appointment online just a few days out. Peyton was very thorough when she explained the tanning process and easy to talk to so it wasn't awkward. This picture was on day 3 when the tan fully developed and it lasted a little over a week until it was showing some patchy spots. read more

I booked a makeup appointment with an apprentice a few of weeks in advance for family photos, but less than 48 hours before the appointment I received a call that the apprentice was no longer available. I was offered the option to rebook with a regular artist, but the price was nearly double. When I asked politely if they could honor the apprentice rate or offer a discount since the cancellation wasn't on my end, they declined "because we called you yesterday and she had a dental emergency". It was disappointing to be met with a lack of empathy, especially since this left me scrambling at short notice. This would have been my first visit to this business, and while I understand things happen, I wish the situation had been handled with a bit more flexibility and care. read more

Delia is the absolute best! Similar to another review I saw on here she came to my rescue for my wedding. I was originally scheduled with a different company who cancelled on me and she not only stepped in but did so in a way that really put me at ease for this super stressful wedding planning crunch time. She is a delight and amazingly talented. I'm so glad I found her and am a forever client. I've had many spray tans and her product, demeanor, flexibility and process is top of the line. She even gave me advice about not doing my face darker for my wedding the way I asked for with my Bach she told me my MUA would appreciate it. And so she did the darker for face for my bach which I love since my face fades first but I listened to her advice for my wedding weekend and as she said would happen, my MUA was very grateful and commented how my spray tan artist clearly knew what she was doing/one of the best she's seen and she sees spray tans on a constant basis. All to say, listen to Delia's advice! So happy with the services and highly recommend! read more

Delia was kind and patient, despite me being rudely late to my appointment. I got my spray tan yesterday afternoon, but the color looks good so far! If I ever need another spray tan, I found my place and will definitely be recommending Tre Chique to friends as well read more

I have been going to Tre Chique for haircuts and spray tans for the last few years and have always had a wonderful experience! I have found the staff to be knowledgable, helpful, and very talented at what they do. They have excellent customer service and once went above and beyond to help me fix an issue with my spray tan (something that was my fault, not theirs). I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for hair styling and spray tans! read more

Easily the best spray tan in Hoboken. I've been to the salon many times and even had them come to my home once. I always wind up with a believable color that lasts a week. Payton is amazing, I've never had an issue with coverage or streaks! read more

As soon as I got engaged, I booked Kim 2 years in advance to do my hair and makeup for my destination wedding in Mexico! One of the many reasons why I love Kim is because she is so professional and so thorough about her work. Kim was very patient with me coming back and fourth to her with multiple hair and makeup inspiration photos and took the time to find out what I liked about each picture. She even did extensive research about doing asian hair and makeup in a beach setting to make sure everything would turn out just right. As she was traveling her flight got delayed, then her connecting flight was cancelled and when she finally made it to Mexico, her luggage was missing. Everything that could have gone wrong did, and although she was under so much stress, she never let it show. Thank God she was able to get there safely and was able locate everything just in time for the big day! On the day of the wedding Kim did hair and makeup on both moms, most of my bridesmaids and myself. I don't know how she did it, but she kept everyone calm and addressed everyone's concerns. I am so grateful for Kim because she made all of us look and feel so beautiful that day. We love you Kim! I can't thank you enough! You are THE BEST! read more

Can't get enough of this place. Tre Chique is my go-to hair place and I am always so happy with the service I receive. Karla and the staff are so professional and it's definitely a hidden gem in Hoboken. I recommend this place to everyone. read more

This place is pretty great-I just wish it were cheaper, closer, bigger, and had better parking, but I guess that's a lot like all of the salons in Hoboken! I've never had the spray tans done here, nor have I had a color or cut, but I have had my make up done here before as well as my hair (blown out and style). I don't know if it's my hair type so I perpetually feel disappointed with how my hair looks after a blow out, but I didn't hate it here-trouble is, I had to give VERY heavy direction (maybe the person at the time was new or junior). The makeup artist (and I forget her name unfortunately) did a bang up job on me-I went here prior to my engagement party, and I was so happy with the airbrush make up and the lashes she applied (I think they come with a certain level of make up service, but be sure to check their services menu before booking). I also met the owner once at an event in town-she seemed very nice and interested in customer feedback, so there you have it! Make up for sure this is a more than solid option in Hoboken-totally worth it! read more

Caroline is the BEST! I started coming to her for hair cuts and balayages during the pandemic and I couldn't be more glad I made the switch. I've never gotten more compliments on my hair since Caroline started coloring it. Whatever ideas I throw her way she nails every time and I never have to stress about whether it'll look great - she knows exactly how to place the color (and what shade to use) so that you always look your best. Run, don't walk, to see Caroline at Tre Chique!! read more

I have had a few spray tans at tre chique and have always had an amazing experience! I have tried different technicians and everyone has been professional and made my experiences 10/10. The tanning solution is not drying or sticky and fades naturally. read more

I got sick of the every 6 week maintenance highlights I had been getting for years. About two months ago, I got a root melt and balayage at another salon which was double the price and half the quality. Caroline at Tre Chique has been long recommended by a friend and I wish I didn't wait so long to actually see her. She killed it on the color, cut, and glaze of my yellow and badly blended roots from before. She was so sweet and really took her time to get it all right. I didn't feel rushed whatsoever and am beyond happy with the result. Best prices and best service you will get in Hoboken hands down! read more

Great service very nice location. Carolyn is always very helpful and does a great job will be returning again.

I was a tanning bed junkie for too many years and I am so glad to have discovered Tre Chique when I moved to Hoboken. They are truly the best and always leave me glowing without the risks of skin cancer and orange streakiness. I recently visited Tre Chique for my hair and I was really blown away! I have not colored my hair in over a year and I was long overdue for a cut. It can be very scary to go to someone for these services for the first time (especially when it comes to color!) but I have never left a salon happier than when I walked out of Tre Chique. I was so beyond impressed with Caroline's knowledge of hair. I had an idea of what I wanted, but I left it up to her expertise and she really delivered. She is also an absolute doll! Although we went for a more natural look, the color change is so noticeable and the cut she gave me has made my hair look so much fuller and healthier. I have gotten so many compliments! I am so happy to have found someone in Hoboken who I can trust with my hair. read more

I needed hair and makeup for my cousins wedding and being super pregnant I wasn't staying at the hotel. I needed to be in New Rochelle by 10:30 (45 min drive) so I needed to start hair and makeup at 9:00 and be out the door by 9:45. Payton and Caroline were ready to go when I walked in the door and were extremely accommodating and sweet. Honestly such a good experience and all done super quickly and really well for a good price. The salon itself is super cute and intimate. Will definitely be going back and trying some other services! read more

Kim & Delia of Tre Chique did my hair + make up for my wedding day. I hired them to come from Hoboken all the way to Queens because... 1) Their prices were fair AND they were upfront about them -- if you haven't done research on wedding / hair makeup, be prepared to be surprised at how many people will dance around your pricing questions & waste your time. Tre Chique lists their prices on their website and they are super responsive (even though they have a pretty small team). 2) They listened to my input & made me feel at ease. Their warm & easy going demeanor played a huge part in my decision to hire them. I am SO grateful for it because 1000 things were going crazy when I met up with them just before my wedding ceremony. They also were totally cool about me throwing on extensions the day before along with a few other some changes. 3) They are great at what they do! My wedding day make-up was dramatic without being over the top & the two of them worked together to ensure every hair was in its correct place. The day of they were early & brought along extra artists to accommodate our larger group -- we had 3 bridesmaids & the mother of the groom (5 of us total). If I lived in Jersey, or even Manhattan, I'd make them my go-to regular salon! read more

I reached out to Tre Chique after spotting them on the Little Hoboken blog and am so glad I did - Kim was extremely helpful from the moment I stepped into the salon for an impromptu consultation, addressing the various needs of my ambitious balayage/extensions plan. She made solid recommendations and I set out to purchase a set of (pricey) clip-ins to complete the look prior to my sister's nuptials to take place the following week. The day of the appointment, Kim was prompt and super attentive - she was a true perfectionist, approaching my highlights in a highly meticulous manner. I really appreciated her constant consideration of my general appearance, the health of my natural hair, and my objectives (she was careful to maintain the length while skillfully blending my new pieces in as she cut them!) On my sister's big day my hair was truly beautiful - the color, layers, and clip-ins blended so perfectly and I received a ton of compliments from friends & family. At 2 weeks out I am really happy with the overall look and feel of my hair too, and am attempting to utilize the new wefts on my own as well! The only aspect I would advise is to discuss complicated looks over a phone call prior as time can be a concern, and to potentially streamline the payment process a bit (in my case it took a tad longer to check me out, however I have no complaints as a discount was being applied). Thank you so much and I look forward to heading back to refresh my color and/or the set of extensions in the future! read more

When another salon cancelled on me the night before my wedding, Kim, one of the Tre Chique owners, literally came to my rescue and was able to do my make up on my wedding day at the last minute. She was a complete professional, very conscious of COVID-19 safety protocols, and also is very talented. She completely nailed the look I wanted and my make up lasted all day. I also went to Tre Chique for my spray tan and was very happy with how that came out. The color was perfect, looked natural, and lasted for several days. read more

These ladies are simply amazing. I had an issue w/my wedding where I needed to hire hair and make up artists last minute and Kim, Delia and team came to my rescue! The process to book them was super easy and quick. They responded very quickly to all my questions. Their prices are also super reasonable! They were very flexible and accommodating and very prompt the morning of my wedding! Extremely professional, kind, sweet, and very fun to talk to joke around with during the hair and make up process. My hair and make up along with my bridesmaids came out stunning and beautiful - each and every lady. During the hair and make up process, Kim was very knowledgeable and provided me with very detailed explanation on how to manage my hair throughout the day, asking me how my hair behaves so she can curl my hair accordingly. My hair is impossible to keep curled but Kim curled it in such a way that it stayed intact throughout the entire event and stuck w/my Gatsby theme. I absolutely loved it and my make up was also on point with the theme and didn't budge. It was a pleasure working with her entire team and I would 100% recommend them! read more

Kim did an amazing job on our hair & airbrushed makeup. My gf and I wanted to get all dolled up before heading into the city for my 30th bday party. We're not big makeup people, but Kim did a great job giving us a natural look but just the right amount of eye makeup that says "we're ready to party". It was really nice to be able to have this done at our place & be able to multitask with getting dressed. Highly recommend & will be using her again for any future events =) Thanks Kim!!! read more

This is my favorite salon in Hoboken - I go to Payton for spray tans and I've never had a better custom spray tan in a shop. It was my first time at Tre Chique and I had a great experience. I went for a haircut and wanted to donate my hair. Caroline was my stylist. We started on time which is NOT always the case in a salon. The cut took under an hour including the sectioning / measuring / cutting for the hair donation - so Caroline gave me enough time / didn't rush at all but also didn't keep me there all night! She was so nice and helped me think through the cut / style. She had done hair donation before so had tips on what she's found to be the best way to do it. I wore a mask as did Caroline, there were two others in the salon who didn't and I felt like everyone was made comfortable to do what felt best to them which is great. It felt safe, not too crowded (just two of us getting services at the same time). There is also great people watching on that corner! read more

AMAZING!!! Kim and Caroline are amazing makeup and hair stylists. When booking Tre Chique for my wedding, I knew that Delia and her team would do a fantastic job. TERRIBLE! No one answers the phone. No one is at the front desk to greet you. Tiny, stuffy salon with unprofessional staff and owner. Very poor and inconsiderate customer service with outdated software systems that elongate the appointment process. read more

I read some good reviews on this salon and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I was not at all impressed. It was difficult to schedule an appointment. I was only able to schedule through text. The salon was small and dingy. The receptionist lacked good customer service skills. The stylist was friendly, but did not listen to my concerns and did her own thing. I asked for the cut to be kept long and just wanted some long layers and trim in the front. Instead she cut short choppy layers and never once asked if the length was okay. She didn't even shampoo before cutting and decided to cut the hair dry and super fast. I expected so much more for the price and reviews. I would never go here again or recommend them to anyone! read more
