Of course the studio is clean, relaxing and beautiful - that's a given in today's beauty industry and what we've come to expect and demand - but the team is so professional, knowledgeable and beyond skilled, and that's the difference. In addition to having a talented and educated staff, Skin by EC offers a wide range of treatment options that have completely changed my body and skin. (All I can say is ask about the venus legacy for cellulite reduction. It has changed my life and I've gone from not wanting to wear shorts to loving my legs again - thank you!!!) With that said, I would like to acknowledge Maggie. She has completely transformed my skin and body and I am so grateful I found her. Her love for what she does radiates through her work and her positive energy makes you feel comfortable and at ease. She is so clean, knowledgeable and friendly, and I trust her recommendations because of how skilled she is. Was told it was a new bed, works great. Not told ANYTHING else. I just noticed I get charged $6 every time I use this new bed. I called corporate and was told "oh, we upgraded the bed. It's now a level 5 and your package doesn't include that". I asked if there are other level 4 beds in that location, as any other locations are out of my way. I was told "we upgraded the bulbs so we consider our level 3 a level 4 now". So, my options are, drive out of my way for what MIGHT be a level 4 bed, ( because they say so) take a step DOWN in use but pay the same level 4 membership, OR pay more to use what I've been getting for free for years? GFY! Since I doubt they'll consider my $1 bill a $6 bill just because I say so, I'm cancelling my membership. They aren't really looking for my type there anyway now that they merged with Sunbar. They want the Buffy's and Kyles of the world. Economy isn't getting any better, not really a good time to try and scam someone out of money for what is essential a luxury purchase that anyone can do without. Good luck Planet Scum.

This was done a week prior to the appointment. 2 days prior to the appointment, the salon called to say the stylist will be out for the week, and no one else can do that hairstyle. So they were canceling the appointment, leaving my niece in a bind to call other salons during a weekend. Really, a staff that will be out for a week did not give advanced notice? Like they just decide to take off? Or perhaps she only has that one client for the day and decided that it's not worth it to come in? Who knows? But despite the talent we will not be calling again.

So glad I did because she was quick, nice, professional and gave me good counsel by introducing me to the accelerator (maybe I'm using the wrong term-it's the tan that develops more quickly and you HAVE to shower in 3 hours). Let me tell you something-I've gotten a fair amount of spray tans, and I have to say, I'd definitely go back to her, and definitely do this solution because it looked so natural, so even, and I had the chance/ability to get this done late on a Friday afternoon, let it set for 2 hours, rinse, board an 11 hour flight and still have it look like when I landed. Have her do for you like she did for me-you won't be sorry!

Jackie informed me that anything they do would fade considerably by the time my event came around. She said she would ask her boss for a recommendation in California and call me back. Within five minutes, she called me back with the name of a salon in California. They went above and beyond without knowing me. They were honest with me as to what the results would look like if I did it a week ahead of time, even if it meant losing the business. When I do decide to use a tanning salon in New York, this will be the only place I will be calling. This is old school customer service at its best!
