I wish they had their prices out on display and on their website. In this day and age, it should be easy to make prices transparent. Inside was clean but nothing fancy. This was my first time at Jackie Hair Salon and I love the way my hair turned out…read more I had bleached and dyed my hair in Korea about 4 months ago so my hair was heavily damaged making it look a bit messy. So I decided I wanted to switch it up by getting it straightened and cut (about 5 inches). Honestly, I took a leap of faith by trying someplace new because yelp reviewers rated this place high and because of their $150 straighten/treatment/haircut price. I'm glad I did. :) I called the day of to make an appointment for that same evening and was able to book an appointment for 4pm. They said it would take about 4 hours. I finished at 7:10pm (3 hrs 10mins). The girl who did my hair took the time to explain to me the process and why she was doing what she was...making me feel more at ease (This is my first time getting magic straight). Since my hair was long I was a bit nervous chopping off so much because I tend to feel that my face width looks a bit boxier. I asked for her to cut up to my collar bone with a very very slight bob angle from the back to the front so from the side view it doesn't look like one straight horizontal line. She could tell I was unsure so she cut a little longer than my collarbone and we worked out way up from there. I was so happy she did this because I always regret it when they chop so much all at once. The entire process was wash, cut, straighten chemical in hair, wash, dry, straighten out with iron, cut, put another chemical in hair, wash, put in treatment, treatment drying, straighten iron, and final cut. Only thing I'd improve about this place is maybe their music. (Only cuz music is so important to me.) Otherwise, the place is clean, there's parking in the back, friendly stylist, and a good price! I'll see how it looks in a week and update my post. As of now I'll definitely be coming back! :D

As I got older, I became more independent and wanted to go to a new place entirely since my family members were either retired or extremely busy! I called Rich and was honestly very nervous about this place. I hadn't seen a lot of reviews, I didn't know anybody that went but the reviews I saw were all so positive that I decided to give it a chance and I'm SO glad that I did! Right when I walked it, he greeted me and made me feel so comfortable. He was able to give me the exact haircut I wanted and I continued going to him for a few months. My friend had heard only great things about Tommy. I absolutely loved how Tommy asked questions about my hair (what shampoo, conditioner and products do I use), what my future intentions are (do I want to keep it at a short length or grow it out), and what would be best for my hair. I showed Tommy what I wanted and got something even better. If you are in the Palisade Park area and need a haircut, this is the place to to go. I would highly recommend Tommy and would travel all the way to NJ to get my hair done again. I was skeptical about paying $50 for a haircut, but after getting my haircut at K Salon, I would definitely say it was worth it! With COVID, they require masks to be worn at all times and take appointments. They also check your temperature and make sure everyone is socially distanced.
