I got my lashes done by Charlie of InezFx Lash, and bc of covid nyc guidelines she wasnt able to…read morehold an appt at her greenwich location. She required that I pay upfront the day i made the appt the full amount, ok no problem, but then showed up for our appt an hour late, to my home. When she arrived she apologized stating she was running late bc a client took longer than expected, although I was confused bc she had stated earlier that day that she only takes one client a day to make sure everything is sanitary. (Convo photo below) I offered her water or something to drink she asked for chicken wings which i thought was odd but moved on. I also asked her in person whether she was allergic to cats or have any issues w my cats as I have several. She said no. Here is when things get weird, she starts doing my lashes and while my eyes were taped and closed she disclosed that she had taken an edible earlier. So that explains the chicken wings and showing up late. She continued the session getting glue on my lower lashes - repeatedly which was pretty painful to separate. And the finished product was lopsided. One eye was cat shaped and the other more full in the middle. Also they began shedding although i didnt get them wet for 48 hours. This job was done july 8th, by july 12th 4 days later 30% of the lashes were gone and by july 16th 8 days later one eye has about 3 lashes on and the other is about 70% gone. Of course when i reached out to Charlie the lashes fell out bc my cats were biting her toes (but she didnt say anything) and my lashes fell out bc my appt was damp (despite the lash application being done in my room with the A/C on high) and it was unsanitary to do lashes in an apt w my cats (that were allegedly all over her despite her saying literally nothing...) And finally once i brought this to her attention - she offered to give me a refund or redo them to which i declined the latter and said that she'll issue refund in a couple days bc shes moving (not really a clients problem) that was on monday july 13th and as i write this review its july 17th of course theres no refund. Wildly unprofessional, poor service, and oddly vocal about requesting chicken wings but not about getting "bitten" by my cats... musta been a great edible.

***Review from a lash extension First Timer!*** See Pictures ***…read more Wow! I absolutely LOVE the way I look with my new set of lashes. I've gotten so many compliments and I can leave my house with no makeup (maybe just a little under-eye concealer) and look put together. Definitely a confidence booster! I got mine done 4 days ago on a Wednesday and this is how it went: Thursday at work: Female co-worker #1: "wow, look at your eyes- did you do something different? Me: "mmm, no. I just used mascara. What? Does it not look natural? Is it too much?" (i normally don't wear a lot of makeup) Female co-worker #1: "no, no, no, It looks very nice, i love it -- it gives you a pop! You hardly ever wear makeup and i love this" Me: "Eye lash extensions ;)" Female co-worker #1: "Omg, i gotta try that, blah, blah, blah" Female co-worker #2: we are talking by the coffee machine for like 5 minutes and all of sudden: "OMG you got lash extensions didn't you!!" me: "huh?" Female co-worker #2: "Yeah I know because my sister gets them done and she's been trying to get me to do them. I love them! you look awesome - maybe i'll try it one of these days" Male co-worker: comes over to chat and all of sudden "What did you do different? Did you do your hair? it looks nice" Me: "LOL" Friday: I asked my boyfriend, do you notice anything different? and he says no. Saturday: I was wearing no makeup and cuddling with my boyfriend and he was like "you are so pretty" --- I batted my lashes at him but he still didn't notice lol. The funny thing is that we were watching Coco and Ice and then the Khloe and Lamar - and for the first time I noticed that all these females on tv, the kardashians and all of them wear lash extensions. there's no way they are natural. Today - Sunday: mom looks at me and says wow you lashes are nice and long. Me: "Yeah mom, I've been using these oils and they grew lol" Mom: looks at me stunned like she wants the secret Me: lol "ok mom lash extensions, you want to try them?" lol o that reminds me, let me write a review. Tanya was my tech and she was very communicative, walking me through the entire process. She told me it can take up to an hour or sometimes longer and that i can take a little nap or ask any questions to help time pass by quickly. The procedure is not painful at all and although it took about an hour, time pass by very quickly as we were chatting most of the time - I had a lot of questions. She told me how to take care of my lashes and gave me a tips sheet to take home. In our chat learned that she started her business on Facebook as a home business and it was so successful that she opened up this lovely lash studio in Union Square. That to me is always a good sign. I highly recommend this business whether this is your first time and you haven't quite dared to let a chinese or Korean salon do it or whether you've done them before and are looking to try a different place.

I must tell you that my experience was nothing like the reviews on Yelp…read more Maybe someone recognized my pic from Yelp. Any-who... First, they were courteous I actually received a text to remind me of my pending appointment. My very first appointment I arrived 15 minutes past the time I was scheduled to arrive and I take that and I had to reschedule. My bad. The second appointment the lash technician had an emergency and I had to reschedule again, but I received a courteous phone call and I was okay with that. When I finally arrived this Saturday I was quickly wisked away to a sirene pink room with wistfully calming music. I was advised based on my natural lashes what style would look best on me, I told my lash tech that I wasn't trying to look like a run way diva or a drag queen I just wanted to accentuate what I already have and be presentable for my 9 to 5. She made it happen. I have a full set 65 on each lash which I took advantage of with Groupon and I even agreed to the ten dollar upgrade plus a five dollar lash tech fee (I'm not quite sure what that means but I'm okay with it), and a tip. I paid $40.00 in addition to the 45.00 Groupon......but I'm cute and happy, so I'm good. I was not presented with a mandatory gratuity, I had to ask to leave a tip. I did tip accordingly because my lash technician was on fleek (that's Ebonics for she was professional and witty), and I even scheduled a follow up appointment. Really.

Until I had this procedure done, I would spend a lot of time penciling in the parts of my eyebrows I felt could use some hair. Ana Paula understood exactly what I wanted, and stayed true to a look she felt would fit my face. Ana Paula and her assistant really took their time with me to ensure I was comfortable and satisfied with the work, and offered to retouch on a later date should I feel some areas needed improvement. I also had my upper eye lid done with a very subtle permanent eyeliner, and it looks flawless. There's nothing like waking up and not having to put on makeup. The best part of this is getting a beautiful natural look, that looks like you were born with. If you're wondering about the safety of the procedure and her expertise, you might like to know that Ana Paula has worked with top plastic surgeons in Brazil, and done tons of pro bono work helping people hide scars, reconstruct nipples after mastectomies, and the list goes on. I'm glad she has found some time to be in New York, and I'm thrilled I found out about her.
