I've gotten so many compliments and I can leave my house with no makeup (maybe just a little under-eye concealer) and look put together. Definitely a confidence booster! I got mine done 4 days ago on a Wednesday and this is how it went: Thursday at work: Female co-worker #1: "wow, look at your eyes- did you do something different? Me: "mmm, no. I just used mascara. What? Does it not look natural? Is it too much?" (i normally don't wear a lot of makeup) Female co-worker #1: "no, no, no, It looks very nice, i love it -- it gives you a pop! You hardly ever wear makeup and i love this" Me: "Eye lash extensions ;)" Female co-worker #1: "Omg, i gotta try that, blah, blah, blah" Female co-worker #2: we are talking by the coffee machine for like 5 minutes and all of sudden: "OMG you got lash extensions didn't you!!" me: "huh?" Female co-worker #2: "Yeah I know because my sister gets them done and she's been trying to get me to do them. I love them! you look awesome - maybe i'll try it one of these days" Male co-worker: comes over to chat and all of sudden "What did you do different? Did you do your hair? it looks nice" Me: "LOL" Friday: I asked my boyfriend, do you notice anything different? and he says no. Saturday: I was wearing no makeup and cuddling with my boyfriend and he was like "you are so pretty" --- I batted my lashes at him but he still didn't notice lol. The funny thing is that we were watching Coco and Ice and then the Khloe and Lamar - and for the first time I noticed that all these females on tv, the kardashians and all of them wear lash extensions. there's no way they are natural. Today - Sunday: mom looks at me and says wow you lashes are nice and long. Me: "Yeah mom, I've been using these oils and they grew lol" Mom: looks at me stunned like she wants the secret Me: lol "ok mom lash extensions, you want to try them?" lol o that reminds me, let me write a review. Tanya was my tech and she was very communicative, walking me through the entire process. She told me it can take up to an hour or sometimes longer and that i can take a little nap or ask any questions to help time pass by quickly. The procedure is not painful at all and although it took about an hour, time pass by very quickly as we were chatting most of the time - I had a lot of questions. She told me how to take care of my lashes and gave me a tips sheet to take home. In our chat learned that she started her business on Facebook as a home business and it was so successful that she opened up this lovely lash studio in Union Square. That to me is always a good sign. I highly recommend this business whether this is your first time and you haven't quite dared to let a chinese or Korean salon do it or whether you've done them before and are looking to try a different place. read more

Since the other location where I had a terrible experience closed, I felt like I should share my follow-up experience at this newer location here... I am all for a business where the ownership sees the value in "making it right". It's with that said and with great pleasure that I write this update. Shortly after having written my initial, not-great review of Blink, I received a message from them here on Yelp, asking that I give them another try at no cost to me. I'd be re-lashed by the owner (Tanya) at their new, now fully-functional studio location on Union Square. I'll admit, I hesitated. I liked the fact that they offered, but the flashbacks of eyelid tightness slowed my response. Would I be getting my hopes up only to have them dashed away with squirts of glue and clumps of (fake) hair? It took a while... but I shook off the silliness and made my appointment. I needed to be fair. And what if things really *had* changed? In the name of not treating Blink Fancy like one of Taylor Swift's exes, off I went. And then I got stuck in the PATH train for 45 minutes, making me half an hour late for my free appointment. I tried calling multiple times once I was above-ground, but no answer. I got there and the only member of staff present was another Lash Tech. Tanya had run out to grab something to eat once I had passed the 20 minute late mark. It wasn't totally my fault (as I mentally shake my fist at Hurricane Sandy), but I still felt like a Super-Sized jerk. I took a seat and waited, knowing I'd need to reschedule, but wanting to apologize in person. At this point I took in my surroundings, which were a MAJOR upgrade from what I'd seen at Bleu Sur Bleu. The space isn't huge, but it's clean and modern/ industrial, warm (comfortably so - not a sauna or anything) and the music was good. Tanya arrived, I explained, and she was lovely about it. She apologized about the fact that she couldn't still take me, and we then compared calendars. She wanted to ensure I'd be able to get them applied before Thanksgiving, and we settled on a day and time. She said there was a chance another Tech might have to do me, but assured me that said Tech was one of her most trusted, and that my experience would be wonderful. I left feeling hopeful, and returned a couple of days later for my appointment. When I arrived I was greeted warmly, then introduced to Karolina, my Tech. She and I headed back to the lash application area, we discussed what I would like length-wise and shape-wise. She said she could remove some of my existing lashes and apply the news ones in such a way so as to give more of a "cat's eye" look - nobody had ever asked me about what shape I wanted before! Yay! And so, we were off. Karolina talked me through the first few steps, checking to see if I was comfortable on a few occasions. It was just enough, and then she continued to work quietly while I enjoyed Florence and the Machine in the background. I don't think I fell asleep, but that's more because it was early and I was caffeinated than anything else - had this been a late afternoon appointment, you can bet I would have knocked the hell out. The final product was fabulous, comfortable, and had been applied as gently as I would have hoped (more so, in fact). I thanked Karolina as she walked me to the front to check out. At that point, I got to talking with Tanya. She asked me a few questions to make sure I had enjoyed my appointment (a resounding YES), and then about my prior experience. I filled her in, then explained that by comparison it really was night and day. The thing that really tells the story? I'll be back there next week for a refill with Karolina. While Angel Lash is certainly serviceable, Blink Fancy offers a more personal experience -- friendly and warm, where "everybody knows your name", but not smothering. Tanya knew what was lacking and corrected it. If that's not a great example of how a business should be run, I don't know what is. read more

Absolutely with out a doubt, no. No, no, no. Regardless of the reviews, I went on Saturday with the benefit of the doubt. Everyone was very nice, but that's where it ended. My appointment was for 5PM. By 6:30 my cluster eyelashes were falling off. I figured, okay maybe one or two, totally understandable (i guess) by Sunday night, all of them had fallen off. (and yes I followed the after care instructions) I called 8 times throughout the day on Monday from my cell phone, and left a message once. Nobody picked up my call. However, when I called from a different number, they picked up immediately. Coincidence? Perhaps, but then when they told me that they could only offer me to come in tomorrow at 11AM, and were not flexible... No me gusta! I need to really listen to my friends and fellow yelpers and stay the heck away. Thank goodness I used a Groupon, (who I will also be filing a report with). Otherwise, I would be incredibly upset. read more

Ohmigod. If you got a Groupon for this place, GET A REFUND! This place does not know how to do eyelashes. First of all the glam lashes stated it would be 90-110 lashes applied. I asked him how many he placed and he said about 90. I DID NOT GET 90! I've been getting my eyelashes done for a while now, and the ones I got here were too thick, patchy, and ratty looking. And at that, it still looked sparse. I've had 70 eyelashes done at other places and look way more decent than this place. Also beware - He only does one size! The other lengths were cut with scissors! I asked for a flare look and the outer parts were too long and the inner lashes were too funky short. I didnt know why at first, but when I got home to examine them I found the culprit of why the inner lashes were flying in all different directions. HE HAD CUT THEM TO MAKE SHORTER LASHES! CARDINAL SIN! CARDINAL SIN! You do not cut synthetic hair or else it lays weird on the natural eyelash. Also, it leaves a funky blunt look to your eyes (like Britney Spears choppy ass short hair on your eyes), like you have black hay or clumpy mascara on. A professional place would buy different lengths of eyelashes, NOT MAKE THEM ON YOUR OWN! This is so not natural looking. No experienced eyelash extension technician would or should ever cut eyelashes. This is what happens when a Groupon deal is too good to be true. I hope they all fall out soon. I guess from what I read in the other reviews that should happen soon enough. Also my Groupon said I would get a free blowout, but I never got that or was ever offered it. What a rip off. Finally, this salon seems unprofessional. When I was going in there seemed to be some sort of fight or drama with the stylists. Total BS. read more

Used a Groupon for partial highlights, cut, and Moroccan oil treatment. Salon is in an ideal location but odd space, through sort of rundown hallways and the actual salon is not super clean looking. Front desk assistant was very kind, man who did my hair barely spoke a word. Didn't seem to care all that much what I wanted. The most irritating part of the entire experience is how rushed and unprofessional the whole process was. I have never been to a salon where the stylist is simultaneously working on three clients for the same appointment time. Yes- he was quick and knew what he was doing (thank God) but half the point of going to a salon is the customer service aspect. Was offered water twice and said yes both times and got it 20 minutes later. Had to ask for Moroccan oil treatment while my hair was being washed or they wouldn't have remembered to do it. And on top of that heard employees offering discounted services to customers for good yelp reviews... yikes... maybe don't want to say that in front of new customers :/ Blink has the talent and amenities to be a great salon but unfortunately the service is not up to par. read more

Got the package deal for eyelashes. Worth it if you need your lashes to stay on for only the first half hour. I love how the glue always seems to get IN my eye instead of only on the lashes. "Deal" is stretching it a little. Good luck booking an appointment or trying to reach someone. I gave them 3 chances with 3 different technicians and a fail each time. Granted, Tanya was the better of them, but when you consider the hassle and how they literally fall off so soon after totally not worth it. I found another place nearby that although is a little more costly (no groupon or life booker deals) does extensions they way they are meant. I hav had extensions on for over two weeks, swam in them, used mascara, etc etc and unlike blink's quality they have stayed put. I saw one lash fall off today and that's because I was picking at it. I went in with a lifebooker coupon for partial highlights and had probably the worst experience. The front desk gentlemen was super friendly, but the guy that actually did my hair, 1) only spoke to me to let me know he was going to smoke a cig outside 2) didn't ask me anything what I wanted as far as highlights, i didn't even get highlights he just put color using foil 3) i paid for partial and basically got less than that (a little bit more than just bangs is what he did) 4) everything was RUSHED I can go on and on, but needless to say I will never return to this salon again. Came here on Friday to get my lashes done for the first time since I had a wedding this weekend. Tanya (the owner) did my lashes and I am seriously OBSESSED. I got the most amount of lashes you can get per eye and I can't even begin to tell you what a difference it makes on my appearance. I noticed a few other reviewers say that they had a problem with the lashes not staying but I'm not one of them. It may be because I've been super anal about not getting them soaked (I've taken baths only so far) but I've only lost a few since Friday... nothing noticeable. I hate to give them such a low rating (everyone was nice and attentive), but I agree that these eyelash extensions DO NOT LAST 4-6 weeks. I had 10 eyelashes fall out by day 3. By a week in, they were almost all completely out. I was very careful to follow the eyelash extension care and didn't have water touch my face for the 48 hours the glue needed to dry. Although the aesthetician was very nice and took her time (45 minutes), the results were very lackluster. I would not go here again. Not worth it at all. Visited Blink for the 2nd time yesterday to get my lashes done. This time was the biggie as I am getting married on Sat... OK OK so I am addicted I am in love with my lashes and they make my eyes pop! It is totally natural for one or two to fall out but these stay and last for up to 4hrs! I can't wait to see how they look with my make up done for my wedding and then while I am in Bali for my honeymoon! They will be perfect so I do not have to put on mascara to sit by the pool. I'm no stranger to eyelash extensions. I've had good experiences and bad ones. I ran into Blink the night before Thanksgiving and was very happily surprised with the courteous, fast service and how awesome my lashes came out. I held back on my review to see if they would all fall out, but here we are several days later and my lashes are still as flirty and full with just one stray lash jumping ship so far. The prices are reasonable for the service and they do offer a nice discount program for fillers after the initial set. On August 27th, I came in for my Glam Lash (part of package for three full sets within a years time) and it was my second visit with Tanya, the eyelash technician. As always it was amazing...very relaxed atmosphere with good music in the background. Tanya is very meticulous and takes her time fusing the eyelashes on. Not only is she courteous, but a pleasure to speak with and very sweet. This was my second visit, and just like my first visit Tanya reminded me of how to best take care of my lashes, what are the best practices and to feel free to call to ask any questions. Like many other reviewers, I wish I could leave ZERO stars... I bought a voucher on Lifebooker Loot for the GlamLash package. I have since asked Lifebooker for a refund. This is why: 1 - The voucher was sold for a company called Blink Fancy, which had two 'pages' on Yelp and good online reviews at the time of purchase. The company is now at a new location going under the name Blink Beauty, which has very poor reviews. 2 - When trying to make an appointment at the new 'Blink Beauty' location, I had to call and re-call several times to reach a live person. When they finally did answer, I had to ask three times what number I had reached - because from the guy's tone of voice and phone skills I thought I called a mechanic or something. (No offense to mechanics - I just expect a different type of phone experience when I call a salon than a mechanic.) 3 - Even though I called three weeks before the date I wanted the service performed, I was told they could only accommodate me at a date/time that would require me to leave work early, and two days later than I had hoped to come in. This really ticked me off because on the 'Blink Fancy' site, they are listed as being open on Sundays. I do my best to research any place before I buy one of these vouchers. When I called this new place, ' blink beauty', no Sundays. 4 - When we finally agreed on an appointment date/time I could tell the 'gentleman' on the phone didn't even bother to write it down. I know this because when I called back the next day to confirm the appointment, the woman I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about. She too was rude and sounded about as friendly as a slap on the face. These people have NO INTEREST in using these group sites to build their business and client base. It is a total scam and they are getting away with it. Based on my experience and the reviews I have read, I have absolutely no confidence in Blink Fancy or Beauty or whatever name they're going by today - and do not trust them to perform a service that involves glue and sharp instruments by my eyes. This should be an enjoyable experience - not one that adds stress and anxiety - wondering if when I show up for my appointment they will actually be open? Will they do the service? Will they glue my eyes together? CONCLUSION: DO NOT BUY VOUCHERS FROM THIS VENDOR. If you have, I encourage you to write to Lifebooker/Groupon/whoever to urge them to stop doing business with this these people and to, hopefully, honor a refund or credit. read more

I came in to get my nails done by Kylie who is a true nail artist and decided to add the eyelash extension services because they have a deal running on Living Social. Tanya the owner and eyelash guru was nice enough to inform me of the current special. It's been 5 days and my lashes are still going strong. I have strangers calling me beautiful at 8 am in the morning BEFORE I actually put on make up, which I don't have to do with these lashes. They really make a huge difference. I would give them 0 stars if i could. i bought a lifebooker deal for haircut, moroccan oil treatment and blow out. the experience was horrible from beginning to end. 1. no one there answer the phone. took him over 20 calls just to get through. 2. unfriendly and unwelcoming attitude when i got there. 3. THE STYLIST I HAD COULDN'T EVEN CUT HAIR! she was probably a junior stylist or something because once i saw how she was cutting i knew she was an amateur. 4. HAIRCUT WAS UNEVEN! after she finished it looked like i barely got a haircut but i did notice my hair in uneven lairs. i complained and the stylist started hacking my hair with me standing and no robe or anything to prevent the hair from falling onto my clothes. 5. they didn't even have cash for change. i had to pay tax which was like $2.19 and they didn't have change for a $5. what kind of business doesn't have change for their customer! since they didn't have change i was FORCED to tip the stylist $10 even though she didn't even deserve a tip. Update: at the same Salon I went back twice to get my eyelashes done and both times it was painful and the second time they glued my eyes shut together! Beware! Pros: Amazing flexibility (I literally had to move my appointment 3 times and they were so nice about it) Con: I have had lashes almost a dozen times elsewhere and have never had a shellac-like coating applied to the lashes after they were applied as was the case here. My eyes burned during and, the next day, puffed up (again, this has never happened before). Truthfully, though, I was game if it helped the lashes stay on longer but, it seemed to have the opposite effect. Because all of my lashes were stiff with this glue they broke off so easily. This is the second time I've gone to Blink Beauty for a single process + cut + blow out after purchasing a deal from Life Booker. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... If you are fooled, too, at least do yourself a favor and book with Jillian. The first time, my color came out AMAZING but my cut was horrifying. I actually had to come back to have it fixed (the layers around my face were blatantly lopsided and looked like a mullet), and the stylist who originally cut my hair had to ask the girl behind the front desk to come and correct my cut. She, despite NOT EVEN BEING A STYLIST AT BLINK (which is really unprofessional for them to let her cut my hair) fixed everything and gave me the look I had originally come in for... KUDOS Jillian! I went back for a second time last night giving them the benefit of the doubt, since the first stylist I had was no longer employed there. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment slot and waited 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that I was there, despite two of the stylists running around and socializing with each other. I then waited an HOUR until I could be seen, since they were running behind. Jillian, the girl from behind the desk who saved me last time, now works as a stylist and was there to pick up something. She saw how behind they were and stayed, on a Saturday night, to take me on. She was amazing. Super sweet and personable. Worked really quickly with my color and cut. I walked out of there looking fabulous and will ONLY go back for her. Another note of caution: while I was in the chair, another stylist (the one who I was originally supposed to see), made Jillian stop mid-cut and had me move because he "liked that chair better" than any of the other empty ones. While he was mid-blowdry with his client, I watched him stop without warning, run back to the wash station, stick his hand in a bag of chips with the front desk guy, giggle and futz around, then return without apology or explanation. Hopefully he washed the food off his hands, but after this experience... doubt it. read more

I booked an appointment on Lifebooker for partial highlights, haircut and blow out for a great price, on Monday for a Wednesday evening appointment- no problems at all. Daniel took care of me, was very attentive and sweet. Asked me what I was looking for and delivered 100%. Great music playing the entire time. Loved all of the services. My haircut came out fantastic and great blowout too and love the highlights!. I'm curious why so many bad reviews? The salon was spacious, modern and cozy. I didn't have any trouble finding the place either because.. Hello! Don't you look for directions online, with your phone or mapquest before heading somewhere? (common sense in my opinion). When I was done with my fabulous haircut, Tonya (who did eyelashes for a few other clients while I was there), told me about their eyelash specials which I definitely will be taking them up on. I highly recommend this salon to anyone. Not only do they have great deals, but the staff was super friendly, helpful and talented. I overheard 3 different clients telling Tonya how much they loved their lashes after she did them and I can't wait to try it out myself. I really wanted to like Blink Beauty because the staff is very friendly. However, ultimately I have to rate them based on the actual service delivered. I got the eyelash clusters (which aren't as natural as eyelash extensions but it's ok since no one can tell unless they're literally inches away from your eyes). The upside is that the process was quick and painless, and the end result looked very nice. However, the downside is that these fake lash clusters lasted barely more than two days. I was told that these are supposed to last 7-14 days, and I followed all the aftercare instructions. But by the third day one cluster fell out already, and by the fourth day, half of them had fallen out and this is as bad as if all of them had fallen out, because by then my lashes looked terribly uneven, and I had to take out the remaining ones so my eyes would at least look natural. So in conclusion, I paid $60 (groupon price plus tip) for some clusters that only looked good for two days. In my mind this is definitely not worth it. I haven't tried their other services but I don't think I want to take any more risks. read more

Had an appt for lashes on Feb 7 that I arrivied late for due to train issues. They first said I'd have to pay a $15 fee for arriving late, I totally understood this but after a few minutes I was told I'd have to reschedule because I'd be running into the next customer's appt time. So as i'm rescheduling my appt the receptionist is trying to upsell me on purchasing a 3 set of lashes. It was a great deal, but i told him I'd need to see if I'm happy with my lashes before investing in 3 more visits. Well I came back a week later on Valentines Day to get my lashes. I was sure to get there extra early for my 3pm appt so there would be no issues. 3pm comes and goes. It's now 3:15pm, and I'm still sitting on the couch waiting. I was offered some Trader Joe's wine, but no apology for having to wait. But like a doctors office they want to charge a fee for me being late but offer me nada for having to wait. I guess the offer of Three Buck Chuck was it. Finally @ 3:18pm the customer comes out and I was brought behind a sheet for my lashes. Donya was a pleasant person, my lashes looked OK afterwards. I've had my lashes done several times, so i knew what to expect. It's not in my Top Ten but more like the Bottom Three of places I've been to. One my way out the receptionist tried selling me the 3 set of lashes again. I told him give me a week to see how my lashes hold up. So he tells me the offer is expiring in a week so i should get it now. I knew for a fact that it was not expiring, he was just doing his job and trying to get my money. After all this, I DID NOT HAVE ONE LASH LEFT on Feb 21st. I'm not sure if it was the glue she used or the application method. I'm used to having my lashes for weeks not days. I guess this is why they are such a hard sell on getting your cash up front. They know you most likely will not be back otherwise. read more

I purchased a three pack (good for one year) at a discounted rate and I'll absolutely be coming back! I initially did have trouble making an appointment; I tried emailing and calling several times with no response or a request to call back at a later time. Ok. So I was totally ready to write these people an awful review. I made an appointment for last week and visited the address listed on the Groupon. They weren't there. When I finally found my way to their Union Square location, after calling them 5 times with no response, I was 40 minutes late and they couldn't honor my appointment. I was really pissed off. I still think professionally they should have taken me that day, but I think we were both not having the best of days... When I came in today they appologized and upgraded me from a cluster lash to a full on lash extension. They eyelash tech was so nice and warm, we had a great conversation during the entire experience. When I came in today I really had no intention of ever coming back but depending on how these lashes turn out I might just have to. :) read more

I am a regular customer at Blink where Tanya magically transforms me by applying fabulous eyelashes that make my eyes really 'pop'. I was given written instructions on how to care for my new Glam Lashes on my first visit and the instructions are repeated at each visit. I find if I am careful to follow the care instructions that my lashes last 3-4 weeks. Staff at Blink Beauty Salon are all friendly, make their customers feel welcome and look pampered. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It is a shame, as someone else wrote because my aesthetician was very nice and professional and she did a great job on my lashes, (or so I thought) so I don't blame her. I blame the salon and whoever is running this sham, because within literally ONE DAY, 50% of my lashes were falling out. I called the next day and got no answer, no a answering machine, nothing. I have a full time schedule as most people do, so when I got an opportunity to call 3 times again, which was a few days later I spoke to an incredibly rude woman who basically told me it's not their problem, even though their service list says that the lashes would last 3-4 weeks. This is not my first time getting lashes, I know how to care for them and how long they last, these are definitely done with poor materials. After going back and forth about 5 times she finally took my number and promised to have a manager/owner call me but of course that never happened. $50 down the drain. They were completely gone by day 6. NEVER AGAIN. I will stick to Bling Lash or Kayi Day Spa. They are the real deal! read more

I rarely let people cut my hair, but I'm so glad I did. The staff at Blink is so friendly. I immediately felt at ease. Daniel gave me a fabulous hair cut, but I still feel like "me". This place is definitely worth trying out. It's well priced, and the vibe is super energetic and welcoming. Free wine. Great music. What else do you want?! read more

Went in with a Lifebooker deal for a cut, blowdry & moroccan oil treatment. They gave me a glass of cheap wine while I waited which was nice. Receptionist/hair washer guy was friendly but in a fake confusing way, if you know what I mean. He told me he gave me a "better than Moroccan oil" hair treatment with dead sea salts which was a little weird; not sure if I believed that. Then, a different guy actually cut my hair and barely spoke to me the entire time - he asked me how I wanted my hair of course, but he was chatting with a woman the entire time he was doing my hair, which was a little weird. Definitely not friendly & I don't think he even introduced himself. At the end my cut was fine, I didn't get anything fancy, but my bangs were still too long (still in my eyes, which was the whole reason I went in for the cut in the first place) - so I asked him to take a tiny bit more off the bangs. He said "I don't recommend it" and then "Maybe just a tiny tiny bit" which sounded perfect - but then he cut off WAY too much all at once and they were suddenly way too short. I left wishing I hadn't said anything & had just fixed them myself at home, ugh. I look ridiculous. Then, at the end I go to check out and they tell me the TAX is TWELVE dollars. For a $29 coupon. Apparently they charge tax on the "original price," but the original prices are CRAZY inflated - adding up the $80 cut + $35 blowdry + I-don't-remember-how-much fake Moroccan oil treatment. I'm not that cheap, but I do NOT like feeling conned, and by the way the receptionist dramatically rolled his eyes and said "take it up with the owner," I'm sure every single person comments on how crazy this business practice is. So this crappy cut was NOT a deal at all in the end; I should have just paid $40 at a salon that would actually care about keeping me as a customer. I had a terrible haircut experience with a Loot deal from Lifebooker. The short version (and believe me, I'll be emailing the long version to Lifebooker) is that I was rushed through my appointment (in at 6:15, out at 6:45) for a conditioning treatment, cut, and blow-dry for my long hair. The stylist started cutting my hair before asking what I wanted. When I told him what I wanted, he told me what /he/ wanted instead. I felt like I was being pressured and hurried and just said fine--if I'd had more than a second to think about it, I would have stuck to what I came in to have done. I know that one is on me and I don't blame the stylist for my bad decision, but here's a tip to hairdressers -- when you suggest a drastic change to a client, give him/her a full second to think about whether it's really a good idea before rushing in. While the stylist was speeding through my haircut, he was also engaged in an intense conversation with the receptionist because apparently the receptionist was recommending too many at-home hair treatments and not pushing products. Maybe the discussion about the poor guy's commission distracted the stylist, I couldn't say, but the result was a disaster. Forget that I don't like the style, the execution itself is probably the worst hair cut I've ever received. My hair is a choppy mess and I appear to have a mullet. When it get it fixed (elsewhere) I'm going to have to lose at least another two inches to even things out. To add to the annoyance, my Lifebooker was for a prepaid Moroccan Oil treatment. When I was having my hair washed the guy gave me a deep conditioning treatment. I corrected him and said that I was getting the Oil and he told me that was impossible, they don't do that. Sure enough, when I went back to look at the voucher I'd paid for the Oil treatment. And finally, as other have said, the space itself is more like an office space than an oasis. The chairs are beaten-up and dirty. If I felt like I were being pampered and received a great cut, then I wouldn't care. But that obviously wasn't the case. read more

DO NOT Come here! I had the absolute worst experience here and have had eyelash extensions done before at other reputable salons. Don't let the facade of this place fool you because they are very inept and unprofessional. Not only was I NOT in their appointment books, the OWNER and the tech continued to eat their food while I waited and I could hear them gossiping about their customers. The technician said she had 13 years of experience and I find that really hard to believe since she glued BOTH my eyes shut, then glued my eyelashes together and used different lengths for each eye making the very CHEAP, PLASTIC eyelashes look very uneven! What was supposed to take only an hour, and which should have only taken an hour had Jewel known what she was doing, took THREE hours! I had to tell her that the eyelashes looked uneven and that they were all clumped together. AND to make things worse, I got a phone call from the OWNER and JEWEL for not tipping enough! YES, so after HORRIBLE service I was harassed! Last night I had to take the eyelashes off and now I have short, thin lashes that are all clumped together. I'm very upset and my eyes are super sore. Pay a little extra and go to JJ. DO NOT COME HERE! read more

Worst customer service EVER. Daniel the owner is a joke called to tell the receptionist that he was going to 30/45 min late a week ago so I rescheduled for the same time the following week. After waiting 30 minutes he finally text the receptionist back saying he wouldn't be there and to reschedule for later in the day. This salon is a joke!! He didn't even offer to set me up with another stylist nor do they have the staff to provide that type of service. Amateur owner. Do not recommend! read more
