There's a room in the back so it's actually a fairly relaxing time. The salon is clean and bright. I came back for nails and got a French gel manicure. They don't have the prices up on their sign board but they haven't them listed online. My technician was very thorough and the nails look nice. When I went to pay, the receptionist shrugged and said their credit card system wasn't working. Maybe she just found this out, but it would have been nice to know before coming in or I would have brought cash. There wasn't any apparent attempt to fix it. She just said to Venmo the money. I don't have Venmo so I had to spend like 10 minutes setting it up, adding credit card, then paying a fee on top of it to process credit cards. There was no apology. She then said they'd raised their prices but not on the website and not in the store. That felt super shady. The services were good but the tech issues of payment and nonchalance to it was frustrating. The studio is also extremely clean and tidy. Aisha was my waxer, and she made me feel so comfortable. You could tell she knew what she was doing! I used to get bikini waxed all the time when I was younger, and it's a little intimidating to walk in to a place for a bikini wax after not doing it for so long. But Aisha was so cool and it was like jumping right back on the horse! Interestingly enough, Aisha told me the service I received was more akin to a regular bikini wax as opposed to a 'full bikini,' which is something that no previous waxers had told me. A full bikini is a little more expensive then a regular bikini wax, and I thought it was very honest of Aisha to share this information with me instead of just seeing the incorrect service and keeping that information to herself. As a bonus, EWC took my wax pass even after 10 years I was so pleasantly surprised that they honored a package I bought over a decade ago! That alone will make me rebook with the company. I know I'm the only positive review on this page so far, and honestly confused as to why that is. My forehead got burned from the wax. The threading, however, was good. One more thing to be careful about is that the owner does not honor the prices listed on the board. Her waxing prices are more expensive than high-end waxing places like Uni K Wax, despite having much lower hygiene standards(she dips the same wooden waxing spatula into the wax machine and reuses it until she can't use it anymore). I was charged $30 for underarms, whereas it costs $25 at Uni K, and half legs with a "deal" cost $55, while it costs $50 at Uni K. The only thing that was better was eyebrow threading.

There were two employees working on a Friday around noon. Both were working on clients who were also getting their eyebrows threaded when I arrived, but it was only a short wait. When it was my turn, they didn't clean the chair before having me sit down so it didn't feel very sanitary. The threading service itself was satisfactory. My technician was very gentle and it felt more comfortable than other times I've had my eyebrows threaded. After she was done, she applied aloe without asking me if I wanted it on my face. They have their price list printed and posted on the wall. They also have an addendum sign that notes that the price for threading has increased from $7 to $10. I'm not sure why they didn't simply adjust the original price list instead of displaying two different prices, because it definitely caused confusion. The client in front of me originally paid $7 and an employee had to ask her for the additional amount. The client understandably pointed to the original price list on the wall and they had to explain that new prices were in effect. The other client ahead of me apologized to the woman who did her eyebrows because she didn't bring enough cash to cover tip and the new, higher price. So overall, I got what I needed done, but their customer experience could definitely use some improvements.
