My go to for brows! The aesthetic of this place is modern chic and Jess is great at what she does. It's a very chill ambience as well. She gets booked pretty quickly so book ahead of time - online - I'd say 2-3 weeks out to be sure. Sometimes you can get lucky with a last minute appointment but holidays do get busier. She's always good at being on time with appointments too which is a huge plus! I had multiple excellent experiences with Jess! I've had my eyebrows waxed and tinted, after a few years of not getting waxed due to covid. Jess helped me to feel comfortable and asked questions to ensure that we were on the same page. Do you remember in the movie Legally Blonde when Elle Woods is having a complete meltdown after moving to Boston to follow Warner and she drives around and finds that perfect nail salon where she meets Paulette and that nail salon becomes her sanctuary to talk about her problems and hang out all while getting her nails or hair done? This is The Wax Coast. How can a wax studio feel so special? This warm and inviting atmosphere is all thanks to the owner, Jessica Jade. (I'd also like to give a shout out to Kisbel who always brings a smile to my face when I see her.) I actually met Jade six years ago and her previous place of employment. I had trouble finding someone I trusted to do my waxing, especially my eyebrows. People always messed them up and I almost gave up on the entire idea of waxing. Then I met Jade and everything about my waxing experience was perfect. She is kind and funny. She is professional. She listens intently to exactly what you want done. She is hardworking and diligent. She is an avid learner of her craft, constantly working to become the best at what she does. I made sure to find her at The Wax Coast, her new business venture, because there is no one I would rather support and there is no one I would rather have shaping my eyebrows. The waxing service at The Wax Coast is top notch. They have every service one could think of and the wax they use is very gentle. Oh. And the color of the wax is amazing. It reminds me of Tiffany box and makes me feel oh so fancy. So fancy. And who doesn't want that? The décor and furnishings are incredible. Everything about the place screams high-end studio. This isn't your cheap waxing place down the street. The Wax Coast is of the highest quality. When it comes to your face and body, you should not go for the cheapest option. Go for the best. Treat yo self! You see the difference the second you walk through the door. In addition to waxing, The Wax Coast offers a wide variety of services for your lashes. I decided to get a little crash and try a lash life and tint. I'm a woman in my thirties who wears zero makeup. I'm all about highlighting my features, but I like to do so in a more subtle way. I did a minor lift and tint, didn't want anything too dramatic (there is an option for that), and I have to say that I was so impressed with the results. The lift itself lasted a few weeks and when I looked in the mirror, I felt like I had mascara on without doing a thing. I might try a more dramatic lift in the future. If you want something subtle, they can do that. If you want something that pops a bit more, they can do that too. It's totally up to your personal preference. The place offers so much more than waxing and I cannot recommend it enough. To me, having a place I can trust to help me look my best makes me feel my best. I had my first wax appointment today and I have to say, I am EXTREMELY satisfied. I called early this morning inquiring prices and scheduling possibilities, and decided that if I didn't do it today, I would back out. So I went. I walked in and immediately was greeted by Kisbel with a big warm smile. She gave me forms to fill out and complimented my curls (fastest way to make me smile!). After the brief paperwork, I went into the waxing room. Now, I can be a bit of a stickler for organization and cleanliness, as you should be if you're about to expose your lady bits to someone you just met. Surprisingly, I was not nervous about being half naked, because the room was SUPER clean, bright and comfortable. I can't stress enough how terrified I was, because of all the horror stories I've been told before. That being said... The process itself: being that it was my first time, I was nervous (aka scared as shit), but Kisbel talked to me the entire time. She remembered that I mentioned going on vacation, and that I'm a teacher and asked me questions about both. She was about half way through when I realized "oh shit, I'm actually doing this". It honestly was not painful at all. Being satisfied with my Brazilian, I decided to do my underarms as well. Again, not painful. Recently moved to Secaucus from NYC and have been looking for a spot for waxing and eyelashes - finally found it! Salon is super clean and staff were very friendly. They recently opened - likely the reason for the limited reviews. Waxing - my skin is super sensitive and is almost always bright red for at least a few hours after I get waxed. Today I got eyebrows, lip and chin and within an hour after leaving I have barely any redness or dryness. Good shaping for my eyebrows! Eyelash extensions - I've gotten them done before elsewhere and was super weary at first - but they did a great job. Amazing experience. Clean and chic inside. Super friendly and professional staff. I was super hesitant to try and get waxed again after my last experience at a different establishment. My last waxing was super painful, the lady was messy and left patches, and she didn't seem to care of my lack of comfort. HOWEVER, at the wax coast, Jessica (the owner and person who attended to me) was super sweet, friendly, thorough, clean and super professional. I loved this place the vibe the owner everything about it when I first went , this review has nothing to do with how they treated me , they treated me exceptionally well and made me feel welcomed , I went in for a bikini wax and I was in pain right away for atleast 2 days , within a couple of days I felt hair growing already but didn't really payed mind to it .it's been 3 weeks and I have a whole bunch of ingrowns , to the point that one got so infected I am now taking antibiotics for it so it could clear up , I'm so upset and wanted to keep going but I can't after such a botched wax . read more

I've been to the Wax Coast 3 times now and the service is always great! The place is absolutely beautiful and spotless... very sleek and modern. I've gotten 2 Brazilians , which were great and mostly painless. The owner is very down to earth and professional ( and funny as hell ) and very good at making you feel comfortable, which is important during such a delicate service. Today I got a Lash Lift and tint and I'm absolutely in love with my lashes! They are beautiful! This is a great service for someone like me, who isn't really a fan of extensions. Best wax experience I've ever had. I was so hesitant on how my skin would react, I waited a few days to write this post. First of all, the location is convenient; nearby a parking lot in the center of town. The receptionist was nice and explained the different price packages and post treatment for my legs. Jay, who did the job, was great to talk to during the process, which made it easier to keep my mind off the little pain there was. They used hard wax, and did not double dip, which I feel is one of the main reasons my skin felt great afterwards, in combination with the lotion I purchased from them. The lotion is SO worth it -- also 50% off when you book an appointment. It reduced the redness within an hour --- like it never happened. My legs are still super smooth and clear of any redness or bumps. I am definitely going to come back and look at getting one of their packages. read more

So far Ive only had two experiences at The Wax Coast, but I plan for many more. The first time I went, was for an arm wax and the specialist there was comforting, fun, and did an amazing job. My second experience was for a lash lift and tint. This is a service I have never had before and I was very nervous, not sure what to expect. The owner (who did my service) was welcoming, made me feel comfortable and we had a few laughs as well. This put me at ease during the whole experience. The best part? I love my new lashes and have gotten so many compliments on them since. I went in there recently, excited that there was a brow place in Secaucus. I typically go to this amazing woman in Fort Lee (her name is Chelsea) who used to work for Anastasia Beverly Hills, but I thought it inconvenient with my big truck to travel over there from Secaucus. I was in a bind, and the reviews led me to believe I would be safe. I showed her two photos of what I was hoping to get out of the session... my brows didn't need much. Just a cleaning. I never asked her to reshape, and I specifically told her not to make my brows thin at the end. Well, waiting seven months to get my brows done by a "professional" ended up in going back to my 90s style brows (from over 10 years ago!). My arches are uneven and super thin (as in the exact opposite of what I told her to do). Her response when I told her that she did them too thin despite me telling her before she laid her hands on my beautiful Olivia Culpo style thick brows? That they won't ever grow back to how I want them to be anyway (even though they were close), and that I should look into ways to making the hair grow faster if that was really something I wanted to do. She relies too much on filling brows in, but I'm a natural girl so I don't care for that nonsense. (As in, I want my brows to look the way they would if I did fill them in on their own accord.) I'd rather do them myself and not mutilate my face based on someone's opinions of how brows should look. read more

Today was my first time going here to get my eyebrows done. I've been driving an hour south, to my hometown, to get my eyebrows done for the past 5 years. Needless to say, I'm pretty picky about my eyebrows. But I didn't have time to drive down this week and I really needed to get them done. I found WaxCoast on yelp and gave it a shot. Belle did a fantastic job! This isn't your average, wax and go place. They cut your eyebrows to neaten them, wax and pluck as needed. Belle also filled them in which added another element of service. I recently heard about The Wax Coast and set an eyebrow, lip, and nose appointment. As soon as I arrived for the appointment their receptionist/ customer service was excellent. If you're going for the first time, I would recommend getting there ten minutes early to fill out new clientele forms. It is very clean and chic on the inside. I felt very comfortable and welcomed. The wax they use is unlike any other I have ever experienced during a service. It's very smooth, and gentle, yet is able to get even the finest of hairs removed. I was so happy with the results that I scheduled a second appointment to go a day later to get my eyebrows tinted. That was the best decision and investment I made! I'm so in love with my newly tinted brows that I recommended all of my friends to go here!
