As a newcomer back into bicycling I was thrilled to find a local Trek company store. The folks at this location simply couldn't have been friendlier. I know they're getting absolutely slammed because of COVID so I planned ahead and made an appointment. Most of the harsh reviews seem to not take the global pandemic into account. Anyway, I felt very safe in the store and used hand sanitizer and social distancing so everyone's health was considered. I had so many questions but they never got frustrated with me and ultimately I left after well over an hour with a bike i freaking LOVE. !! Excellent customer service and advise here. I was able to test ride an Emonda & Checkpoint to compare the differences. It got busy as customers started trickling in. So after consulting with store manager Isabel last Thursday, I decided on the SL6 because that's all I think my bride would allow me to get. Trek Pasadena didn't have the bike I wanted but Isabel referred me to a store that had it. Who does that? So my wife and I went, saw the bike, test rode it but decided against buying it. I convinced my wife to drive an hour to Pasadena to get the bike from there. I called Isabel and told her we're coming. My job was to convince my wife that Trek is where we need to get my bike. Mind you, they close at 6. We got there at 6:28 and yes Isabel, Christian and her crew were there. My bike (which was more expensive than my initial choice) was already prepped and ready to go. I told my wife that yes it's more expensive but it comes with the support of Trek Pasadena headed by Isabel. For me that's all I needed to tell her and she approved it. She met Isabel and her team and she herself was convinced. So what are you waiting for? I started indoor cycling a few months ago and realized I needed to invest in cycling shoes that clip in after a toe injury. Kae came up to assist us right away and was very helpful. She reassured me that I could return the shoes if they didn't work after trying them out at home (which I needed to). Because of her great service and information she provided, I ended up going back and getting the other pair she fitted with me. Let me start by stating that I am not a big review writer but for Trek Pasadena, I am taking exception. They have unbelievable customer service. Sean Boyd was very helpful in giving appropriate knowledge on road bikes so I can make the right decisions. I didn't even ask for a discount but he gave me one nonetheless. When I got home and review my receipt, I found out the Sean gave me $300 discount. Now, that is customer advocacy in its finest. The bike I purchased from Trek Pasadena was a Trek Madone SL 7, Gen 7 in lava gray pearl. Needless to say, I am very pleased with my purchased and the great customer service extended me. I will come back again to buy my wife a bike for her Christmas presence this coming December. read more

They have a great selection of Trek & Electra bikes and provide excellent customer service. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. They provide excellent customer service too! I lucked out and got an Electra which have been hard to come by during the pandemic. The warranty and complementary 1st year service is impressive also. Had a great customer service experience at this store! I had been trying to find a shop that would help me install a larger chainring for my bike. I called around a few local bike shops and didn't have much luck. The folks at the Pasadena Trek shop were immediately more knowledgeable and willing to help. They took the time to help me select the right size part based on my needs and usage. The installation was smooth and I am very happy with the result. After I left I forgot to grab my old chainring and chain. The folks at the store were nice enough to ship them to me so I didn't have to make the drive! My partner and I took our two Trek bikes to get serviced. We were in a pinch because we needed them tuned up and ready to pick up by the end of the day since the following business day was going to be closed, and we needed our bikes to ride for a scheduled bike trip the next morning. Rich was excellent. He took in our bikes and, within a few hours, had our bikes back and ready to ride. It was busy, and we appreciated the extra lengths to get our bikes in time for the ride. Also, Rich mentioned the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition. We have yet to join an event but will be sure to do so this year. Chris, Chris and Preston - GREAT JOB today! I came into the shop today for help on some maintenance to keep my ride running smoothly. They looked at it immediately and fixed me up. I also got educated on some of their new road bikes in stock and picked up about $200.00 in accessories/high value recommended upgrades......win-win! The people at this store are outstanding. I brought my bike that I had purchased elsewhere to them because I was very frustrated with how it was performing. Carl and Marcos especially deserve shout outs for how they took care of me. They listened to what I was experiencing, explained what they thought was going on, took the time to look at the bike and get it in good shape and were excellent communicators throughout the process. I have always considered myself handy and prefer to work on my bikes myself but after the level of service I've gotten here and the results from letting them "take care of it" I think I will be paying for my service from now on. Regardless of the brand of bike you have, I strongly recommend their service department and if you're out shopping, the staff here are terrific. read more

Their stock may be limited, but the mechanics are excellent. As a Trek company store, this Pasadena store inherently has a limited range of bicycles: if it's Trek, they can get it; otherwise, that's not what they offer. They do have a good range of bikes in store, despite the current supply chain hassles, and as things shift, they're a good place to consider once you're sure you want Trek. What I do like a lot, though, are their mechanics. A few months ago, I was putting some Bontrager wheels I had onto another bike, and a different store managed to use wrong parts so that it didn't quite work. After the other store insisted that even more parts were needed while denying any fault, I decided to try the Trek store, since the wheels were Bontrager. Christian took one look and immediately knew what was done wrong, and was able to get me back on the road with the right parts. Since then, I've used them for maintenance and more repairs, and always been happy. Most recently, I managed to seriously damage my drive train, and they jumped in. Bontrager wheels have warranty, and the store staff were pro-active in tracking down the purchase information, and getting me a discount on a replacement wheel (though Trek limited it because of the dates). Lance saved the parts he could, and since another needed part was not available in store, they were flexible about me getting the part at another store and putting it on. When the bike came back, it purred, perfectly adjusted and smooth. So: good mechanics, who will do quick jobs on the spot, and a friendly staff (much better than in some of the early reviews from 2020, in my experience). And if you want a Trek, definitely check them for that, too. read more

Great service! We bought a kids bike and assembled it ourselves. But couldn't figure out the hand brake. A nice gentleman here fixed it for us, quickly with expert workmanship. Came here today to purchase a pair of spinning shoes. Had a similar experience to the previous post below. This place has poor customer service and they weren't willing to help me get a pair of shoes. It made it seem like I was a burden when I was there to make a simple transaction that would have literally only taken two minutes. I haven't posted a 1 Star review of a place in the past but the terrible service and inhospitable nature requires me to do so. I won't be shopping here in the future and I took my business to the incycle bike store down the street where they helped me right away without issues. read more

Always been a big fan of Trek. Was looking to get new bikes for my daughter and myself. I have a Electra 3 which is now owned by Trek. It's a a great cruiser I've had for awhile. Was looking for something comfortable but able to go a little further ride a little harder (but not much) Well as you know the pandemic has caused a giant run on bikes. First everyone at the store was very knowledgeable and friendly and pandemic safe. They had a verve 2 in stock in my size. Daughter's bike hopefully comes in next month. Anyway great bike store. Brought my bike in to be tuned up and cleaned. I fell on it, so wanted to get it looked at. The bike was sounding odd, and gear shifting has been strange for a while, even before falling.
