Let's start of by saying that this shop has outstanding Customer Service. Every time I went to the shop while doing research into buying a bike the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and more than willing to answer my questions. They really know their stuff and are a wealth of information. I was looking into buying a bike for 80% exercise and 20% fun. I have an eBike that I made myself from different name brand 27.5 MTB and a Tongsheng torque sensing motor. Contrary to popular belief, you can get exercise and lose weight with an eBike but a torque motor would be needed over a cadence. That said eBikes generally are heavy and even with pedal assist the weight sort of takes the fun away from riding so I wanted a non-motorized bike. I ended up with a Dual Sport 3 Gen 5 which is a hybrid for city riding and some dirt trails. I tried an X Caliber 8 which is really nice, but in the end a Dual Sport is more in line for what I need. It's not really built for speed like a road bike but it is a lot faster than a MTB and less resistance so it is primarily road with light trails that is why it is a hybrid. I really enjoy the bike a lot. Light weight, maybe not as light as some road bikes but lighter than my eBike by a lot, and lighter than a 29er from a different name brand I once had. I dealt with one woman there and about three different guys. I don't recall their names unfortunately but they all are real champs. Very good people to deal with. This store is well stocked, clean and well organized. I highly recommend this shop. I will be a repeat customer when I get another bike down the road (no pun intended). I recommend this shop. read more

They weren't willing to work with me as much on what I wanted and the pricing as well. Went in to the store to take care of a bike light issue and also to check out an Emonda I'm considering. Glad i came back to this store because the service is great like the last time I was in the shop a while back. Sean took care of an issue I had w/ a rear bike light. i always make sure mine is working when i ride...just for a little safety and be more visible. I have been to many cycle shops in SoCal that provided exceptional customer service. However, I was greeted by Sean and Faye immediately as soon as I walked in the store and helped me with a Hybrid/Fitness bike that I was interested in. Before purchasing the bike, they provided all the information I needed about other bikes that I was also interested in and even let me test ride multiple bikes. Needless to say, they seemed very happy to help me for the 2.5 hours I spent in the store even after telling them I would not be purchasing a second bike today. Although there were many customers walking in and out, they have managed their time really well in assisting me and other customers. If you want a Trek bicycle, this is the only Trek source in town, and they seem to feed off that. I walked in with my son, no other customers in the shop, and not one staff member said "hello," "can I help you with anything," or "do you have any questions." I finally had to ask the sales clerk, "can I pull a bike of the rack myself?" The response was "yeah sure." Then he went back to ignoring me. My thought was, okay, maybe they're very busy crunching numbers, logging timesheets, or whatever. But after reading more reviews for this store, it was clear that this is their M.O. Honestly, my son wants a Trek but I'm going to steer him toward a Specialized because 1) the Trek Marlin we were looking at was much heavier than the Specialized model we saw at INCYCLE BICYCLES and 2) the staff are simply not helpful. In contrast, the staff at Incycle were extremely helpful! They answered all my questions and pointed out specific details to note on various models. Their store was full of customers! What a shocker. Parking: small parking lot but plenty of street parking The workers there follow safety protocols. They limit the number of people going into the store. They will sanitize your hands before you go in. And they offer masks if you need it. Unfortunately most of the hybrid bikes are back ordered until next year but you can put down a deposit to be put on a waitlist. The staff team is very informative and friendly. All I can say about Trek Bicycle Pasadena is WOW! Not only was I impressed with Carl's customer service and knowledge about bikes, but the way they are managing social distance and sanitation during the pandemic is great! Upon entering the store, you are given sanitizer, and told the rules about touching stuff. Totally made us feel safe. Back to the bike... My husband has been in search of the Trek Marlin 5 for months. As you know, due to COVID, any and all bikes are near impossible to find. Luckily, he stalked the Trek website every couple days, and jumped in the car when a Marlin 5 popped up in their inventory. When talking about the bike with Carl, he made recommendations, discussed the benefits, warranty, and sized the seat of the bike for my husband's height. The products are all top notch quality. I had a Trek bike for ten years and it always ran perfectly. That bike was stolen a few years back and I finally decided to replace it. The staff at the Pasadena store were super friendly, informative a helpful. They managed to fit me for a great bike in my desired price range same day! Really lucky during this pandemic when bikes are so hard to come by. I went in expecting to order something to arrive late summer/early fall which is pretty typical right now. I will definitely be going back to that store in the future. I would also say that the staff is really diligent about social distancing and keeping the keeping the store clean.
