I got the Level 1 tuneup along with new brake pads which they recommended and I totally agreed with along with new shifter cables which were clearly frayed and needed replacing. They were honest and clear and didn't try to upsell me on stuff I did not need and the turnaround was less than 24 hours so a big thumbs up. Male employee told me that he would be assisting me in a few minutes. He must have forgotten about me. Many more minutes later, a different male employee approached me. i needed a new handlebar that would help me take some of the pressure off of a preciously fractured wrist which didn't like the angle required of my original one. The gang at Beaverton Trek helped me decide how best to make a change without negatively impacting the balance of the bike, and without breaking the bank. So far the change has actually helped with my old wrist. I wonder if they have anything else to help with arthritis? ;) All kidding aside, they are a very friendly and knowledgeable team. I've come here twice to get my Trek bicycle worked on. The first time went smooth and I had my bike back with a quick turnaround. The second time was not a good experience. It took almost 4 weeks to have a new wheel and tire put on. There was zero communication from the Trek staff that it was taking longer than they told me when I called to check-in on the status. They also put me on hold for 25 minutes when I called a 2nd time to see what the status was. I'll probably just take my bike to REI in the future. read more

My Rail 9.7 went back into the shop. It's been three years and 1700 mountain single track miles. Ok, let's use the 80/20 rule for the number of trail/road miles. I do have other bikes I ride to the store, get lunch and all in town stuff. During 2 years of warranty I managed to go through derailer shifter, 3 chains, cracked frame (frame has lifetime warranty), 4 sets of tires, rear hub and of course brake pads. Think there's more, but who counts that stuff when having fun. First service after warranty: A thousand bucks got her out of the hock but with new cassette, chain, all bearings, brake pads/rotors, wheel trueing, fork and rear shock overhaul, cables, bleeds. The whole 9 yards. This rail loves to chew up rear hubs. Last year they replaced the whole rear wheel because of the hub. This year they opened up the hub cleaned and lubed and suggested another set of 3 pulls. Giving it a total of six. Easy upgrade for 25 bucks. This doubles the clicks but quickly engages the hub when pedaling to help reduce clunky shifts. Highly recommended. The team at this Trek shop are very good at maintaining and repairing all my mountain bikes. I do the light stuff, cleaning, brake pad replacement, chain replacement and transmission adjustments with simple set of tools. Trek does the heavy lifting, bearing replacements, fork and shock service, wheel truing, brake bleeding, etc with special equipment and tools. They complete the work on schedule with very few surprises. Only delays I have seen were during CoVid ordering parts, but they also found other ways to get me back on the trail sooner. My Rail is now all renewed, lively, and eats up the trails. I'm over biked for sure, but my mountain goat friend tells me I'm getting better with every ride. Thanks Trek. read more

Can't say enough about this shop- I take all my bikes here and I'm there a lot because I ride and race quite a bit. None of my bikes are Trek, either. The mechanics here are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and work with you to get you the fastest turnaround time, especially when you have an event coming up! HUGE shoutout to my mechanic Joe, who not only treats my bikes like his own, but goes out of his way to explain things to me and show me how to troubleshoot on my own. I was not very happy with the work they did. I brought my bike in with a flat tire, and the brakes were not working. They fixed flat tire, but forgot to fix the brakes, so I had to leave it for another week while they fixed the brakes. I understand sometimes they miss things so that wasn't a big deal. However, I took my bike home after all the work was done and I got another flat tire within a week or so of bringing it home. I question if there was some issue going on with the bike since it happened so quickly again. I barely rode the bike before I got another flat. I brought it back in and they looked things over and assured me there was no issue. they replaced the tube again And for the labor and the tube.However, I got another flat within a week or two of having the bike home this second time. I may be wrong, but I'm very suspicious that they just have missed a problem, that is causing me to have reoccurring flats. I think the main thing with that is that it's fairly expensive to have them fix a flat tire. Between the repair of the two flats, I know I spent $110-$$120. I'm very disappointed that it seems the issue is still there. I do want to say they were very courteous and willing to look things over, I'm just questioning their thoroughness, because it seems like the root cause was never fixed. I definitely will take my bike somewhere else the next time around. it's not cost-effective to take it in multiple times for the same problem. read more

The staff made me feel extremely unwelcome. I thought a local bike shop would be the perfect place to get my bike repaired (damaged tire). Little did I know, not only was signage unclear (resulting in a lot of confusion about where to line up), the way I was directed into the correct line felt a little like being pushed around like a herd of cattle. Additionally, I understood that my bike was not in the best of condition, but after waiting in line for a while, I felt they were quite rude, making me feel like my bike was not worth fixing at all, and hence wasting their time. I am glad that my bike is no longer damaged, thankfully they fixed the tire, but with all the waiting and frankly, rather rude, customer service, I am not sure I would recommend this to others. read more

Honestly, I am not much of a cyclist these days. I am old and creaky. So when my kid needs new wheels because she outgrew her old bike, it was sort of a no brainer. Call her dad, who is a true Portland cyclist, and ask about rehabbing my old bike for her ( it is living in his garage right now). Nah, he said, I will buy her a new one. Well, okay then. So a couple days before Christmas we went to lunch at Rama Thai to discuss her desires ( a pink bike, with gears but nothing too complicated) and then showed up at Bike Gallery, where we have bought all her previous bikes. While I was feeling nostalgic and remembering her early bike lessons, she and her dad narrowed it down to a specific bike with the very nice bike specialist. Bikes were all on sale, too! They take their time with you here and do not rush or push you at all. The one she wanted did not come in pink, it did come in white, which was her second choice, but they did not have one in stock. The nice bike guy kindly called the Lake Oswego store and off we went. To be continued. But this was a good experience. It really always is. My ex admits it is more expensive than say, Wal mart, but he wants safety and quality over cost and thinks this bike will last a long time now that she is 15 and appears to have stopped growing. If a bike is going to be used, really used, it is worth the investment. read more

Great first experience coming in to Trek Bike Shop with the family. Originally, we came in for my son's flat tire repair on his bike. The people greeted us and told us they were able to fix it and that it shouldn't take long. We started looking around the store and the next thing you know we ended up purchasing a $269 16 inch kid's bike for our 3 year old daughter and accessories to go with. :) It was an easy transaction. The staff did all the work and put everything on the bike for us including adjusting the handle bar and seat to fit my daughter's height. Our son's tire repair was only $20 and that took about 30 mins or less. Highly recommend going to Trek. They are pretty reputable and the service is 5 stars! I wish we had bought all our bikes here in the past but they just earned a loyal customer for life. We will come back for the next bike in no time because kids grow up so fast and will grow out of their bikes. Thank you for the fantastic experience! Several years ago, I bought a Domane ALR 4 here, under the classification "Demonstrator," or similar verbiage. I thought that would mean a bike like the ones people rode up the road a couple blocks and back to see if it felt good for them. But the bike I got was very well-worn, apparently a former rental bike, and we know how rental bikes, or cars, are often treated. The tires were gone, the seat worn, the rest of the bike obviously used and not particularly cared-for. Still, it felt pretty good and after putting new tires on it, lubricating the chain etc, it has given me a few miles of enjoyable riding. Except that, from the git-go, the Isolastic suspension SQUAWKED loudly when I rode over even a moderate bump. Finding documentation for maintaining, possibly repairing the thing has been difficult to say the least. I think maybe I found it tonight and maybe I can get into it and provide the lubrication it desperately needed from the beginning. "Demo bike," indeed. I look at the $10,000 things they're trying to sell in there now, and just hope for the best for the people who trust them and their products with that kind of money. read more

I used to come here on occasion for parts and service. I purchased my first bike here many years ago. But my recent trip reminded me of why I stopped coming here. I should have known better, as the last time I was here I left soo angry that I purchased a new bike from their competitor. They're still rude, impatient and unwilling to help. I called earlier this week to check if they had a general part in stock. I had the part number on hand. The person on the phone wouldn't even take my part number, and told me to bring it in. The "part number" is a basic sizing of the part I needed. When I came in, I was told that the part costed 15x - 25x more then Amazon. I try to support local businesses, but seriously? The only nice person was the new kid who greeted me. Reminded me why I stopped coming here over 5 years ago. Sad, as they used to be kind and helpful. read more

Now Trek Corporate, no longer local Bike Gallery we used to know for the past decade. Sadly to change my mind about the store. Half of the staff are still wonderful and the stars are for them. In short, Trek sucks. Long story, we were in for some tune up- unhappy break and gears, and also look for a new adult size bike for son. No line when we got there but that staff that took us in must be new. After he lead our bikes to the shop he got us to the sales counter. Clearly he needed to use tools to be able to recommend a few models and while doing that he recommended totally wrong size (basic knowledge!) until another staff stepped in. He recommended XS while my son actually need M/L for Trek. That means the whole time that he tried to sell bike "on screen" to me, looking for stocks, was totally a waste. He has never once walked us around to show a bike. I have asked and asked if my son can "take a look" as we are here in store. Nope he liked his computer screen and kept us there. It's a big no no to bore young customers unnecessarily. Trek needs serious trainings for their new staff. That day there's at least a couple bikes right there that I finally walked up and look at model and size label myself. I politely asked if my son can find out of M/L is actually the right size for his current height. It's a "rule" that we can't, as it's someone's order. Understand not to ride of course, but to check out the size? I felt like they don't want us to go look at any other bikes except on the screen. It's so uncomfortable shopping experience despite you have credit card in hand ready to pay. Now about Trek. Sometimes corporates are good to deal with but in this case I really hope Bike Gallery regret selling their awesome local store to Trek. We were there early May 2021, the bike that we finally picked out will be ship August 2022 for assembly after we pay in full today. Are you kidding me? A growing child will grow out of the size by the time. Reconsider coming here if you need a bike "this summer". I know there's shortage of bikes but we are talking about almost a thousand dollars or more you have some good options out there. To the point that I decided to call Trek 1800 myself. Turn out it doesn't matter. Trek assigns bikes and quantities of each model to Trek stores. While they are totally in control, they do not allow us to purchase online. So next step, look at stores inventory myself I found the bike, that we told we will get in the future 15 months, in stock in WA but 200 miles away. I called them to learn that they couldn't take our credit card also. They said someone (doesn't have to be me or my card) who can pay in person and they then can ship the bike to us. Is that make any sense? In this world right now with e-commerce advantages during Covid situation. So... sadly my son ended up with no Trek bike even with my extra efforts to give the company my money in anyway I can. It's way easier to go buy a car. Ok back to the good-ish part. Maintenance staff helped us tune 3 upscale bikes in no time. Once I realized this is no longer my local store I was curious how much it would cost. The price on the new display is pretty scary (well compare to "free" services we received for the past 10 summer seasons). The same friendly staff charged us $20. Phew... he must know that this transition might shocks old customers. I don't want to say that I "used" to come here all the time for everything our bikes needed, I want to keep coming here. I love their generosity and always feel like they live up helping out cyclists on the go, especially kids. My kid grew up with Bike Gallery and he felt comfortable asking help. Staff are so nice and genuine. Every single visit we experienced that staff here never wanted anything from us, besides a thanks word or to say how much we appreciated it. They were efficient and skillful. It was truly a 5 stars business model since the first day we became Beaverton residents. read more

Great service!! I took my bike that Is 18 years old in to get a full makeover! Brent checked me in and was very honest about what was needed, and I definitely agreed. Shawn called a few days later to recommend I get new tires too for safety, I agreed given the age and knowing they were the original tires! Shawn was also there when I picked it up today. He answered all of my questions and showed me how the gears worked as I admitted I never really knew specifically how they worked. He also installed the new lights and showed me how the new locks I purchased worked! Tim was also there and told me about a website I could register my bike to have a record of it in case it was ever stolen. Highly recommend them!!! read more

Bike Gallery is a gem. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Every time I've brought my old and/or new bicycle in, they have given accurate advice, and on occasion free adjustments to my gear. The prices are fair, and they're Shimano clothing choices are awesome, (as it's impossible to find or order that particular Japanese brand even on their own website.) They special ordered gear for me, and were willing and able to transfer clothing from their other locations when they didn't have my size. Strong work Bike Gallery ...your professionalism has reignited my faith in service businesses, especially ones that can easily get carried-away with overcharging for a service that is so needed with us two-wheeled commuters, who aren't trying to break the bank or win races. read more

I understand the COVID-19 concerns, but this was overkill. Meanwhile Cascade Bikes had immediate high quality friendly service. Probably won't be coming back. read more

We stopped in this past Saturday to get my two-year-olds helmets. The store was super slammed being that it was the first sunny, and warm weekend of the year. Although the staff was busy selling bikes, some retailing for thousands of dollars, one took the time to immediately help us while her customer was out riding a bike around the block. The sales gal was great with my two-year-olds. She knew just what Helmets to go to, and her top pick happened to be on sale as well. My son has never not put up a fight about helmets before. The young woman had such a manner with him, that he happily let her place it on his head. I bought a bike for myself yesterday and two today for my family and I had two different salesman and had the same exact amazing experience. Both guys were super knowledgeable, and adjusted all bikes for all three riders. I called to set a level 2 service appt. and was told I would have to drop by with the bike to let a service guy look at it and then he would let me know when I could get service done on my bike. Meanwhile, I'm bombarded with FB ads from Trek advertising 24-hour service on bikes, the fastest available... Sure, after you've stood around waiting the first trip to set an appt. for your service. read more

Was on hold for 20 plus minutes just trying to ask for a estimate to have my bike seat poll pulled out of the frame. After I finally got ahold of the main maintenance guy he wouldn't shut up and listen to what I was saying, kept going on and on about how I should drill holes in it and just do it at home. I tried to ask them if I could just get a estimate on how much it would cost me and he went on about how it would be $100 per hour of work. He said if they worked on it for 5 mins then I would have to pay $100 for the full hour of labor. Totally unbelievable, I told him it wasn't worth the time or money to have it fixed by them since it would take me a hour and a half to walk there with the bike and he started asking me where I lived specifically and why don't I just drive there. I brought my bike in for a tune-up and waited 20 minutes to drop it off. There was chaos everywhere(that in itself should have been a warning sign.) There was no clear line and by the time I got assistance I was told they were 2-3 weeks out on tune-ups. A sign would have been nice telling customers that before I wasted 20 minutes of my time standing in line. This place acts like your time doesn't matter and they are WAY over priced. I took my bike somewhere else and it was half the price and half the wait time. Do yourselves a favor and look other places before coming here. read more

Perhaps the best experience I've ever had as a customer, no exaggeration. My bike got stolen last week, so I had a pretty urgent need for a new daily commuter. With a tiny window of time, I ran all around town after work looking for something reasonably priced and in my size. I had pretty much given up when I called Bike Gallery. Their Westmoreland location picked up and a super helpful staff member (Matt? Nate?) quickly ran a search for bikes at all their stores based on what I was looking for. He told me that their Hollywood location was 1. Still open 2. Had a bike that matched my ask(s) 3. Giving away free food and beer for "Biketoberfest". Fifteen minutes later, I had a beer in my hand and an introduction to Brian, and all-around saint, who patiently answered my limited cycling experience based questions, and helped me hone in on the options without being "salesy." The vibe at the Hollywood location is genuinely fun. The staff are the perfect balance of helpful and casual. My stressful crusade of running all over the city looking for a bike finally ended. I hung out for almost two hours, met great people and yes, bought the perfect bike! Already looking forward to bringing my bike here for tune-ups! read more

Overpriced bikes but pretty good selection. Nothing under $230. Sometimes you have to wait a long time to have your bike serviced, and there's no area to sit while waiting. Whether you get charged a labor fee seems to depend on who you get to help you. read more

We have purchased 3 bicycles from this Trek Beaverton dealership and they have been friendly, but there have been some safety oversights on my new bike that have been COSTLY $$ and kept me from riding. I bought a brand new expensive 3800$ bike and on my first ride I noticed that they had not tightened the rear axle. Luckily I noticed it before much damage had occurred. Then at 160 miles I noticed that my chainring on the front was loose and so I could not ride while on a trip. I had to give up a very good day riding and had to order tools to fix this myself. Whoever assembled this bike was not careful and there were some problems left lurking. I am not super heavy, I do not ride hard, and I used to be a bike mechanic. These things would have been much more costly for someone dependent on bike shop for mechanical service. read more

Horrible customer service, first and last time i come here, first thing as I walked in a customer left crying because of "how rude they were" towards her, I too got a very bad vibe from them until drew came to the take over , I could talk to him and ask him whatever I need to ask . I don't remover the first guy that helped me but he was not really into even trying to help me understand or listen to me. Very very disappointed and overpriced !
