It felt like they expanded it or made it more spacious and better lighting. It was super organized. There's also a little play area for kids in the kids section and everything was laid out nicely. I enjoyed exploring and walking around there! Maybe one day I'll find something that fits and it my range (price wise!)

Men's, women's, kids, footwear, accessories -- everything is clearly laid out and easy to shop. The staff is friendly without hovering, and they're genuinely helpful if you need sizing or product recommendations. The real highlight? The pricing. Deep discounts across Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, SOREL, and prAna make it very hard to leave empty-handed. It's the kind of place where you go in "just to look" and walk out fully outfitted for your next hiking trip, ski season, or rainy Portland winter. Inventory rotates, so every visit feels a little different. I've found everything from lightweight summer layers to serious winter parkas. Quality is exactly what you expect from Columbia -- durable, functional, and built for the Pacific Northwest. Pro tip: Go in with a plan (and maybe a budget). It's dangerously good. If you get the chance to shop here, take it.

The store is huge, has many departments - swim, camping, women's, men's and children's apparel, hiking, biking, hats and accessories, fitness items, winter coats, rain gear and more. But within some areas, there is hardly any merchandise. For example, the Swim section was minimal. There was a big sign and display, but turns out that was it. Literally just a handful of swimsuits, one or two rash guards, no goggles, fins or gear. Did I mention just a handful of swimsuits? Was highly disappointed but since I was there, decided to walk the aisles. The vast majority of the store is filled with clothing. Racks and racks of clothing. Like it's sister store and neighbor, Marshall's, they must get leftover clothing from other stores and sell at a discount. There are definitely good finds among the racks, but I wasn't shopping for clothing and didn't have the patience. Ended up buying a wide brimmed sun hat with SPF of 50 for just $16.99. There were only three customers at the checkout but it still seemed to take forever. Of course this area is filled with a plethora of spontaneous purchases - trail mix, gadgets of every kind, hiking books, flashlights, etc. For me, Sierra will never be a destination like Marshall's where I will go far out of my way to visit. But for those who want outdoorsy clothing, this could be your Marshall's.

**Firearm Counter Review**…read more These guys are absolutely horrendous. There's two young ladies that work the counter that I never had issues picking up online firearm orders from. I had such a terrible experience with the last firearm purchase that I finally said "to hell with it just give me a refund". At this point I would rather spend the money at Cabela's/Bass Pro. The manager back there, Jeff, treats you like an absolute burden. Instead of applying customer service and working to help you, he's dismissive, arrogant and ridiculously rude. Worst customer service I have had in a VERY long time, probably ever. I bought 4 other firearms here in the last 90 days to add to my collection, and THIS WAS THE LAST TIME I DID ANY BUSINESS HERE! If you have to go here, deal with the young ladies who work the counter. Everyone else is only going to waste your time, make you take 2-3 trips to the store just to say "We can't do anything for you, sorry", blow you off and look relieved about it. ***NOT WORTH SPENDING YOUR MONEY HERE - GO TO CABELAS/BASS PRO JUST DOWN THE I-5***

Albeit they provide more freshwater fishing gear versus saltwater, but I usually find exactly what i need. Plus, this type of fishing gear is expected for Oregon. Not only do they have fishing gear, but they've got an endless amount of camping equipment, outdoor shoes, firearms, archery gear, kayaks, Carhartt clothing, pellet grills, and much more. If I lived closer to Bass Pro Shop or Cabela's, I'd go there, but I feel they have the same quality type of products here at Sportsmans Warehouse. And the prices are slightly lower price in my opinion. I can go to Big5, but their big sale items usually are considered cheap (some items, not all). I don't mind the text or email ads regarding what's on sale because I'll usually find a really good deal from time to time. Depending on the season. That's just another plus in my book! The main reason for this review is actually for associate, Colby. He helped me from start to finish with a major purchase. Answered many of my questions and offered useful knowledge. I'll be making more purchases here in the future for sure. Thanks Colby!

Would give 6 stars if I could…read more I came in to replace my old runners, Saucony Triumphs, in size 14 but they were out. Which was no surprise at all, size 14s are hard to find on store shelves, but it was a surprise when they couldn't order Triumphs at all. I really wanted the same shoe again so Jesse the store manager went the extra mile and got in touch with the supplier only to find out that their was an issue in the manufacturing of that particular shoe for the time being. So, he found me two other pairs, a Brooks with similar off-set, and another pair of Sauconys with less off-set and more 'spring' to them. He ordered one pair and transferred (from the downtown location) the other, both in size 14. They arrived a few days later, I get the call and come in. Upon trying them on we quickly realize I need to be running in size 15's. So he orders the same two pairs for me this time one size up. The Brooks arrived first. I got a call, came in and met Jed (I think that's his name) I tried them on around the store, felt good. The Toebox felt a bit big though. Jed explained how that extra 'freedom' up front (my words) could lead to some horizontal movement and therefor friction on the bottom of my foot and the shoe. I was eager to run though. He said go, take 'em for a spin, you can bring 'em back muddy, whatever, just try 'em out. So I did. That night went for a quick 4 miler, they felt good, but he was right, too much play up front. The next day the other Sauconys came in in size 15. Try'd them on, felt awesome. They let me return the lightly used Brooks, and I'm super satisfied with these. Only 20 miles so far, but they are perfect. Big thank you the Jesse and Jed. Amazing Service.

Great for Shoes, Not Much Else…read more First off, this employee store is much harder to get into than the Columbia or Adidas employee stores. It's pretty rare that I get a pass -- usually it's through my 107ist membership -- so I end up going maybe once a year, if that. On the plus side, there's plenty of parking and the store itself is clean and well organized. The clothing selection is definitely trendy... maybe too trendy. It feels geared more toward teenagers and young adults. I've visited a few times now and honestly haven't found any apparel that interests me. A lot of it comes off as flashy. I was hoping to see more outfits tied to big events like the Winter Olympics or the World Cup, but while they did have a few jackets and pants, they were pretty boring overall. The real draw here is the shoes. About half the store is dedicated to footwear, and there are some really nice options. Most shoes are around 40% off, with the non-discounted pairs clearly marked. Prices on display shoes usually range from about $145-$220, so you can do the math to decide if it's worth it. Even with discounts, many pairs still start around $80 and go up from there. Clothing, on the other hand, still felt overpriced even after the employee store markdowns. I've been here three times now and still haven't bought a single thing. In comparison, I've purchased multiple items at other brand employee stores. That said, if you're already planning to buy Nike shoes, this can definitely be a solid deal. One standout positive: the employees have always been very friendly and helpful.
