What more could you want? These breakfast tacos are soooo good!! You will see in my Yelp profile that if you find me a breakfast taco, I will love you forever. And we love seeing Ana every time we go in to Tree House :) As a note, the sign says that they come with pulled pork. We are vegetarian, so we ask to have black beans substituted for the meat. It's not easy getting vegetarian food in this town, so we are so happy to have such a tasty breakfast option at this adorable and cozy cafe. Tree House Cafe is such a great, cozy spot to enjoy coffee and pastries in Kings Beach. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming - the kind of place you want to linger for a while. The coffees were tasty and they even made us an iced lavender latte even though it wasn't on the menu. It turned out amazing! Solid cup of coffee! I got a hot white mocha on a snowy day and it totally hit the spot. It was not to sweet. Some of the mocha sauce went to the bottom (happens at any shop, no problem) so I stirred the drink. The Treehouse is a fan favorite! Really good coffee, great breakfast burritos, and a super friendly vibe! This mom and pop is conveniently located on the main highway ringing the lake. Plenty of street parking, but not much of a dedicated lot. I highly recommend the breakfast burritos. The tiptip or the pulled pork are serious winners. They're pretty large for the price, and the eggs and goodies are overflowing the hot tortilla. It comes wrapped in foil, so use a fork to rescue the spillage. The coffee was good too. Cold mocha was great, not too sweet. They have oatmeal and soy. Don't miss the Lego tree house near the cash register. You can tell someone put love and care. Really good coffee. I've had to switch to decaf recently, which has made me inexpressibly sad, because decaf just isn't as good. But the Tree House decaf latte was so good, I couldn't even tell the difference. I even re-heated the second half of my latte so I could savor it later and it was still good! Inside, there are tons of LEGO cities on display (which my son loved!), plenty of indoor warm seating, and it's a great spot for kids. They offer a wide variety of food options, and the coffee was really good. My husband ordered the basic breakfast plate, and my son had the waffles. The waffles were okay and a little dry. Unfortunately, they forgot my veggie burrito, and when I went up to ask, they said the ticket had been lost, which was a bit of a bummer. However, they remade my order right away and kindly gave us a scone as an apology, which was a really nice touch. The eggs were some of the best we've ever had. What a great place for a cold drink on a hot day! We were driving through Kings Beach looking for a parking spot when I spotted Tree House Cafe and I just knew we would be stopping by. Once we found some parking and spent some time on the sand we meandered over for an afternoon pick me up. It was a good choice for sure! We quickly made ourselves comfortable on their shady patio although the open air seating area looked amazing. I had an Iced Chai that was just to die for, sweet and satiating. My husband had their Hibiscus Lemonade which he loved and I have to say it was perfection. He even talked several other people into trying it! I'm sorry to leave only one star because the staff genuinely tries hard. We chose this place because of its 4.2 rating. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Inside it was freezing--everyone was wearing jackets--so it didn't feel cozy at all. We ordered a chai that arrived lukewarm and overly sweet. Ugh this place was so cute and cozy! We were greeted right away by two young gentlemen who were sooo nice and full of smiles. We ordered coffee and breakfast and it was amazing. We ordered a tri tip breakfast burrito which was delicious 4.5/5, a breakfast plate which was a 4/5 and a waffle which was 4.5/5. Everything was great and our coffees were really good. One of the worst breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. I would not come here for food. It lacked any flavor and was basic as most. The breakfast sandwiches looked like it was thrown together the scrambled egg was burnt, just plan bread not even toasted the bacon was cold and lacking the shredded cheese not even melted . My daughter's waffle looked like it was headed up in a toaster and my husband's burrito was cold and nothing was melted just sort of tossed together. Coming in we were excited to try out some food but didn't realize their kitchen closes at 12 :( I assumed the kitchen would close a little later because they offered lunch items. They only had cold meat sandwiches. However, they do still serve drinks. 5/10 iced chai tea latte. I asked for oat milk as a substitution. The spice was not as strong as other chai lattes I've had before. I thought since I substituted for oat milk it'd be less dense (and a bit more water-y) but it was still pretty dense and thick. The ambiance is really nice. Perfect if you need to get some work done on your computer as there are a good amount of tables inside and outside. If you're someone who doesn't like having background music this is where to go (at least from the time I went ~1PM). They did have to close early since they ran out of ingredients, but they offered the seating out at the front as a place to continue working as they closed! read more

It was a bit of a wait, so I thought it was a good sign! Unfortunately, they were out of the strawberry cream cheese croissant. Admittedly, we did go mid-morning so that probably lended itself to items being out. Service was good; the cashier was helpful and patient... I wanted a vanilla latte and asked if it came sugar-free, it didn't, and she offered a sugar-free hazelnut. In the end, I ordered a sugar-free hazelnut Americano decaf drip. Iiiit was underwhelming. The food did look good though. Maybe next time I'll order the waffles. It was a cute space - seating in the front as well as the back of the cafe. There was a separate area to get condiments, napkins, various sugar options, etc. An employee was cleaning out the trash from that area, with no gloves, mind you. She picked up a piece of trash from the floor. Then she began to touch other items on the countertop, such as the creamer refill containers!!! Mmmm, that's unsanitary!!! Tried it for my first time today, super friendly staff and great selection for breakfast food. The coffee is excellent and I got a treehouse breakfast burrito that was delicious. Probably not all that good for you because it was loaded up with tater tots, but Super tasty. The only criticism I would add would be the front door closing spring is very strong, may be very difficult for somebody that's handicap to get in and out of the restaurant. read more

I ordered a 12 oz iced matcha latte with lavender syrup it was a nice shade of green which is usually a good sign, the drink was decent as it had a strong lavender flavor that was more on the bitter side.
