Chicken salad, avocado, egg, quinoa, apple, spring mix

Came for late lunch. I ended up with chicken salad. Very good. There were some large cracks of pepper in the salad and quinoa much of a nutty surprise. Staff helpful though initially appears slightly indifferent to my. 2:15 arrival. Salad was about $22 out the door so not cheap. Super cute spot it actually connects into the coffee shop though you need to order coffee directly from next spot. I was disappointed that parking was paid outside not sure what Truckee is trying to do making everything pay pay pay.

Probably the most underrated breakfast in truckee! Super tasty French toast. The menu looked so unique but I stuck with staples. I personally love a sausage gravy, but their biscuits and gravy was bacon gravy I believe. Service was quick and the staff were friendly.

Great location on the river side of the quaint and historic town of Truckee, CA. Loved the fresh salad choices and the simple yet hearty sandwiches offered. Right Nextdoor to their bakery which also has mouthwatering baked goods, teas, coffees and juices. A great addition to the town

Top notch fill on the sauce...

We ordered online and were told by their app that the order was going to take an hour which was surprising for shoulder season. We kept refreshing for updates and there were none. When we arrived they said oh yeah your food has been ready for half an hour we've just been waiting for you. The app still shows that the food was not even starting to be prepared. Our $50 breakfast is stone cold and has to be reheated. They offered to remake it but have a large order it was going to take another half an hour. Not impressed. This was not the first time we have had issues here, but it will be yard last. P.S. Thanks for the top notch fill on the sauce.

Stopped in here with friends on our morning visiting the area. We were a large group of 10, this place had enough seating. It's self seating, you walk up and order. Self serving water, with a super cute connected coffee shop. We all ordered different things off the menu, all were really tasty. Service was nice and food was brought to where we sat quickly after we ordered. Really enjoyed this place! Can't wait to visit again

Unfortunately wanted to love this cafe but didn't. We came in around 12pm on a Saturday it was not that busy but the staff seemed in no hurry. Gave no suggestions when I asked for good options and seemed like they were out of a lot of ingredients/options. You have to buss your own table, which is fine but then a lot of table were just dirty and not wiped down. Food was good but that's about it.

Double bacon, breakfast sandwich on everything croissant

Had the everything croissant double bacon breakfast sandwich with crispy potatoes and it was outstanding. The bacon jam on it was a really nice touch and really pulled it all together.

Came across a random little bakery while in Tahoe and i definitely will come back for the vanilla bean pull apart! Super light and crunchy with a little bit of dough. The older lady who rang us up was super nice and sweet! It's a small but busy bakery. Please make sure to clean after yourself while dining in!

On a whim, my husband and I drove to Truckee for coffee one lazy Sunday. We came in a little later in the morning so after paying for parking and getting our coffee we decided we should just stay a little longer and have some brunch. We started walking lazily around down town while we sipped and chatted and just happened upon Cornerstone. After checking out the menu online we decided that this was exactly what we were looking for. We walked into the warm and cozy shop and were greeted by the friendly and professional employees. I ordered the Turkish Eggs. Creamy, buttery eggs over yoghurt with a fabulous focaccia bread was exactly what I needed on the chilly morning. My husband had the short rib hash and he loved it as well, praising the copious amounts of short rib with the crispy, yet soft potatoes. So glad we stumbled upon this tasty little shop!

Cauliflower Salad with Chicken Breast.. best health lunch in Truckee

Healthiest food in Truckee. So good we went twice! Great place to escape from the slopes for local lunch vibes.. Just arrive before 2:15pm if you want to dine-in. They close at 3pm. The bakery also has the best baked breads, cookies, croissants, cinnamon rollls in town. It's a Beautiful bakery that's attched to a healthy kitchen. We had salads with cauliflower, chicken breasts, quinoa. The breakfast also looks delicious. If you love bakeries where you can enjoy a nice coffee and conversation with also healthy meals definitely check them out.

Food was not up to its prices. You pay $90 for a family of three and the food is just made quick with no flavor! Server is slamming stuff, you have to bus your own table. Not what we expected!

We came to downtown Truckee to find a spot for a quick lunch and walked into Cornerstone Kitchen. Ordering was quick at the register up front and I got the Turkish Eggs and a cappuccino for a light lunch. Food came out quickly but I was a bit disappointed in the eggs. Turkish Eggs are meant to be saucy with soft boiled eggs served over savory, garlicky yogurt. The eggs I got were over medium next to a bit of greek yogurt, some olive oil and sunflower seeds. There really wasn't any flavor and the eggs were cooked too long to mix with the yogurt. We likely should have ordered something else - the breakfast sandwiches looked better. At leas the cappuccino was good and the toast was enough to fill up.

Since I'm not normally a coffee drinker, the staff recommended a non-dairy matcha latte for me so that I could mask the caffeine flavors just a bit. My drink order came out within a few minutes and it really hit the spot on a chilly, autumn day. The lounging area inside was also spectacular. Loved the vibes and family-friendly activities like coloring sheets that the shop provided to entertain the kids.

Definitely a popular spot as every seat was filled when we arrived! Very limited food menu--they only offer two breakfast options. Breakfast burrito (rice, black beans, cheese, and chorizo) which can be ordered with or without chorizo but no other modifications since they're all pre made. Also had a breakfast sandwich option as well. I personally wasn't a fan of the breakfast burrito but my boyfriend really enjoyed his. The rice and beans were 90% of the burrito with very tiny bits of chorizo here and there so it just didn't feel like breakfast to me and I didn't finish mine. Everyone has different tastes though so if you enjoy bean and rice burritos I'm sure you would like this!

We ordered the breakfast special, portions were large, I ordered 1/2 waffle, an egg and hash browns I was surprised with two eggs on my plate. My husband ordered the breakfast special as well you can choose three items he went with biscuits and gravy, pancakes and bacon. Our food was fresh made and arrived quickly, great friendly service! We overheard its a family business owned and operated by three families over the years. They had a table with fresh baked pastries they looked delicious. They have quite a bit of outdoor and indoor seating especially compared to the other places we walked by that only had a couple of outdoor tables. It is an older place but we enjoyed our experience. They had nice large coffee cup decor that is fitting with the name. They also had a variety of menu options, breakfast, burgers, Mexican food.

The staff was speaking amongst themselves when we walked in and it felt like we were a bit of a crowd in there. The menu was fairly straight forward. Got a Denver omelet. It was ok. My partner got the triple meat omelet and it was definitely the better of the two omelets. I wanted to try the coffee but it was quite bitter, so I'm glad I passed. Overall I eat out for wow factor and experiences. This is just a place to eat. I thought it was extremely expensive for two people eating breakfast it was well over $50.

I finally had some some time while in the area and made sure to visit. I was not prepared for the sheer volume of GF items! It is not the largest bakery, but that doesn't matter when the variety of pastries and sweets are as high caliber as this! I had some questions about items, and the staff was super friendly and answered them for me. I had the hardest time deciding what to get. I had to go with something simple and comforting. I chose the pull apart cinnamon roll. It was everything I dreamed that it would be. Soft, fluffy, cinnamony, and coated with cream cheese frosting. Paired with a vanilla latte, it was the absolute highlight of my week. There are some indoor low tables and high top tables if you would like to sit inside. A few people on the patio, but otherwise fairly slow. I was pleasantly surprised by their pastry selection. Many great choices! We settled on the Thai chicken wrap, an iced coffee, some yuzu beignets, and a yogurt parfait. The service was iffy. The people were nice, but the gentleman taking our order had to clarify my wife's drink twice, even though it was a quite simple order of iced coffee with cream. It seemed like maybe he wasn't really listening. For close to $15, I was expecting the Thai chicken wrap to be a decent portion filled with protein. I was a bit disappointed to have mostly tortilla and lettuce. The flavor was good, but not such a great portion. The beignets were great, can't be beat. Perfectly tart from the yuzu inside. The yogurt parfait was well-priced, and I felt the portion was good. Overall, a cute place to grab coffee and pastries, but I would probably avoid their lunch food in the future. We enjoyed the patio space, and I felt the vibes were good. Cheers!
