I'm subtracting a star for ambience - on our most recent visit, there were 3 other tables with children; one constantly crying baby right beside us, one kid towards the back was being entertained with cartoons on a phone/tablet without headphones, so we got to listen to that, too. My guess is this is more common with an early reservation than later, and I'm not putting all the blame on the restaurant, but when dinner for two costs $700+, that's just not cool. Maybe a baby sitter fell through or something, but this price point is Fine Dining. I guess next time we'll try for a later reservation, and perhaps ask to sit at the bar if this happens again.

We started with the carpaccio which was presented with some grilled bread (which I love), a bit of arugula, parm, capers and lemons. The meat was tender and melted in your mouth. The char on the bread was perfection... just enough to give it a little something-something but the bread was still soft and chewable. I had the Risotto Di Mare (seafood risotto). It was packed with fish and shellfish... and came out steaming. I love when my food comes out so hot I have to blow on it. You know it just came off the stove. The husband had the Sausage and Tagliatelle. There was so much sausage that we took half back to our condo and scrambled it with our eggs with next morning. For dessert, we had the special banana cake. It doesn't sound great but it was the perfect dessert. Not heavy, not dense, not too sweet. And we shared a bottle of Nebbiolo.
