    Beautiful interior at blue hour

Revisited for Mother's Day weekend this year and it did not disappoint! If youre having trouble finding a reservation, I recently learned you can snag an easy one in the main room if you have a Mastercard. Just type in Google "Tre Dita Mastercard" and it should pop up - super easy! Ordered the GAMBERI IN SALSA VERDE since I saw a bunch of people love that and it was also recommended by the waiter. Really good - idk how they made that green sauce, but I was drinking it by the spoon haha. Wish I would've ordered the bread to soak it all up. We also ordered the PICI CACIO E PEPE, STROZZAPRETI ALLA VACCINARA and GNUDI DI SPINACI pastas. All were amazing! You can tell the pasta is handmade and it is thick and has such a lovely chew to it. Seriously tastes like elevated homemade pasta. The oxtail rage one had to be my favorite, but the cacio e pepe was a very close second. Last but definitely not least, for dessert we ordered the TRE DITA GATTÒ & highly recommended by the waiter DOLCE AL PISTACCHIO. Honestly, I had seen so much rave on the chocolate cake online I was so excited for that one, BUT that Pistachio CAAAAAKKKE. O.M.G. That one blew me away. With all the Dubai chocolate pistachio cream hype, I was expecting a sugar bomb, but this was nothing like that. This cake was sooooo good and very subtly sweet. It had such a rich nutty flavor to it - easily my favorite dish of the night! The service was amazing, we were seated by the window with a beautiful view of the city. We arrived before sunset and left at dark - it was so beautiful to see the vibes change in real time. Once again, if you're looking to go out for a special occasion, this is the spot!

Upscale, elegance and very diligent service match perfectly with the handcrafted menu that knocks it out of the park. The restaurant has exceptional views over the Chicago river, and even better hospitality. It's a bit pricey, but you can tell that they make every dollar worth it. I'm excited to return soon. My recommendation is to get as many different pastas as possible.

Tre Dita is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food! The interior is very elegant and makes the meal all the more enjoyable. The staff are all amazing and great! To start, we ordered the Flori de Fiori di Zucca ($26), Schiacciata Bianca ($11), Polpette di Brasato ($26), and Burrata e Crudo ($34). I forgot that the Flori had ricotta inside so that was a surprise when I bit into it. Our waiter cuts the burrata and pours the oil on top. The burrata was delicious and great to share. The focaccia was very light and delicious as well. No need for butter on the bread. The Polpette was good but nothing amazing. I would say that I would skip the Polpette and Flori next time. For the pastas, we ordered the Linguine al Limone ($29), Trofie al Pesto ($42), and the Strozzapreti alla Vaccinara ($34). All the pastas were delicious! We loved them all. I would say that they are on the smaller side and I was still hungry after eating our apps and pastas. Fortunately we also had a couple steaks coming which filled me up. For the steaks we ordered the King River Ribeye (wagyu) ($220) and the Costata Alla Fiorentina ($240). The Australian Wagyu was my favorite. It melts in your mouth and was amazing. It made the other ribeye just taste not as good. The other ribeye was delicious, but didn't compare to the wagyu. Even though we were full, we still ordered a couple of dessert. We ordered the Dolce al Pistacchio ($21) and the Tiramisu Classico ($19). Both were delicious and very beautiful. The Tiramisu caught all of our eyes as the top showed the firehorse as it is the year of the firehorse. It was fun as the top you get to crack open for the tiramisu. We enjoyed our dinner very much and everything was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant as it is great for a lovely dinner with great food.

The perfect location for a celebration or special occasion! Amazing interior, skyline views, outstanding food and service! Elevated Italian that still feels comfortable. Pro Tip: reservations are hard to come by but grab a seat at the bar for food and drinks!

(Kari's Rating 9.25/10) Came with a friend without a reservation on a Tuesday evening at 4 PM for an early dinner. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were seated right away in a small corner spot. We got a small spot in the corner and it was so beautiful with the sun setting. We were seated in our server Mark greeted us right away. He was having critically knowledgeable about the drink menu, and I ordered the L'Inizio. They gave us a little shot of vermouth as a palate cleanser. Mark told us that the food would just come out as it was ready. We ordered the deep-fried gnocchi, the Burrata salad, the tomato focaccia and for our mains we ordered a New York strip and the parpardalle a ragu. You can definitely tell the pasta was homemade, and the sauce was very light. The New York strip was delicious and cooked perfectly as I always get it medium rare-more on rare side. It was a lot of food as always and I had plenty of leftovers to take home. I was between the double chocolate cake and the pistachio, but I decided to go a limb and get the pistachio cake to go. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the pistachio dessert was and I definitely continue thinking about it. Would come back for the vibes and the server as Mark was incredibly personable!

YUM!! The bread is the best bread I've ever had I think. I could eat the whole loaf myself. Gnocchi was lovely for the app. Pasta wise, I enjoyed the arrabbiata a lot more than the linguini because I felt flavor fatigue faster with the linguini. That being said, they were both so delicious in their own right. Tiramisu was fantastic! Our server, Josiah, was super accommodating and helped recommend the dishes as well! The restaurant was packed as expected for a Sunday night so it was still a little wait even though we had a reservation. The views of the city from the big windows are spectacular. I'd love to visit again sometime!

Delicious meal, great ambiance, attentive service (shoutout to Megan), but yes it's expensive. Wish we also had a table by the window but it was a great view and people watching regardless. Loved the pasta bar and watching them hand make the pasta. What we got: - squash blossoms - came highly recommended by Megan as it's not a typical menu item. Was pleasantly surprised, almost like an elevated and Italian take on a jalapeño popper - braised short rib meatballs - so good and they look deceptively small but it's very meat forward - pappardelle - prob our fave dish of the night, also meat fwd and great flavor - Arabbiatta - amazing heat that builds. I usually go for a pasta with protein but this was amazing and a nice contrast to the richness of the pappardelle - chocolate mouse - Megan sent over a nice chocolate mousse to end the meal even though we were too full to order dessert and perfect nightcap - old fashioned - good but nothing to write home about and hate when places don't have the big rock ice - French 75 - nice and sour Already planning on coming back to try the rest of the menu and hopefully snag a table with a view.

We loved our experience at Tre Dita but holy $$$$ get ready to spend some money. We got seated around 5 PM on a Saturday night and had a good view of the river/buildings. We were seated promptly and given menus and quickly ordered cocktails. Not sure if they were short staffed but from the time we ordered our cocktails to receiving cocktails and ordering food was at least 15-20 minutes. After this no other issues. What we ordered: -Schiacciata Bianca (5/5): Must have at the table, delicious, light, and warm -Gnocchi Fritti (4/5): Wonderful cheesy goodness -Alici Marinate (2.5/5): Anchovies were overly salted but the salsa verde made up for it -La Panzanella (5/5): The burrata made me feel like I was back in Italy. The cherry tomatoes were so crisp we were fighting over them. -Gnudi Di Spinaci (4/5): My husband loved these as they were made out of ricotta cheese but I thought there very heavy being made of ricotta. Still good but harder to eat. -Tiramisu (4/5): Decent and huge but beautiful

It was a lovely evening that was highlighted by the exceptional service. Decor was elegant and seating was comfy in the bar (although we thought it wouldn't be when first arriving). We decided to try Restaurant Week even though previous reviews of this event weren't great. We were pleasantly surprised by the portions - we had leftovers even - and everything was high quality and tasty. The desserts were weaker, but absolutely fine. Cocktails were fantastic. Obviously a good value during RW, but bring your wallet for the regular menu. Tip: Park Whiz at the Coast building next door for a much cheaper option.

Lettuce Entertain You has never let me down. Tuscan Italian handmade pasta. Second floor views of Lake Michigan and Chicago River. Marble, high ceilings, intimate and elegant style to this place. Thank you to the wonderful bartender for assisting me with a deep bourbon selection and explanation and opinion of the menu. I love this place. Thank you Tre Dita team and Chef Funke!

We got lucky and snagged a reservation for a Thursday evening at 6:30. We were seated promptly, shown the pasta lab on the way to our seats and for a chance to walk through the beautiful ambiance and decor around the restaurant on our way to our seats. What an incredible ambiance!! Beautiful and so picturesque. Great for a fancy date night, girls night or whatever you're looking for. We started with the Schiacciata Bianca (focaccia), the gnocchi fritti and gamberi in salsa verde (prawns). For pastas, we got the rigatoncini all'areabiata, cacio pepe and strozzapreti alla vaccinara (oxtail ragu). For meat, we got the pollo alla toscana (chicken) and for dessert we got the tiramisu. When I say that everything was esquisite I mean it. The focaccia is a must order. It's light, airy and fluffy. The gnocchi was basically cheese curds but in the most incredible sauce ever (I think it was the caccio pepe sauce) and when I say I could drink that sauce...oh my. The blue prawns were a complete hit too. The salsa verde is so herby and tasty! Couldn't help but keep the sauce and dip our bread in it. All 3 pastas were delicious! The pastas are all made fresh and you can tell. No bloating here! The arrabiata sauce did have a slight kick, but we loved it! Caccio Pepe was a classic, but this is one of the bests I've ever had. Still, my favorite was the oxtail ragu pasta. It was so incredibly flavorful that I couldn't help but ordering one to go. Finally, our meat dish was the chicken. I think this was my least favorite dish of the evening. Personally, next time I'd go for steak but we had a member of our party who doesn't eat beef and the waiter recommended the chicken. The flavor was good, but I didn't enjoy the texture. It felt a bit soggy and the sauce was missing something. Chicken wasn't the most tender I've had either. Slightly overcooked. Finally, the tiramisu was great! Not overly sweet, a bit strong on the espresso flavor but oh so delicious!! The service was also top notch between explaining the menu, giving recs and taking our picture we loved them!!

Visited Tre Dita for Valentine's Day and everything was beautiful...from the view and decor to the overall ambience. The food was delicious; I had the pappardelle al cinghiale and really enjoyed it, and the wine was great as well. Our service was really good and made the experience even better. My boyfriend was obsessed with the bread (he ordered 3 loaves lol). My only wish is that adding protein to the pasta dishes was an option. Overall, a great experience and I'd definitely go back!

Absolutely loved this restaurant!! My friend asked me to go to dinner with her because she had reservations and couldn't cancel last minute. Glad I was able to go because it has been on my list! It was busy when we arrived but we only had to wait a little bit until we were seated. It was packed but was not really loud. You could still hold your conversation without raising your voice. Loved everything we ordered. We got 2 salads....yes, we really ordered 2 salads. We both love salad and couldn't decide so we got both to share. We also got filet mignon and pasta to share! Everything we ordered was delicious. We definitely cleared both of the salads!! Loved the little spicy kick to the pasta and it was cooked to the perfect texture as well. The filet was perfect portion for the both of us. Of course, we both loved the arugula that came with it also. We were both so full but of course, there's always room for dessert! We decided on the olive oil cake. I've never had it before so I didn't know what to expect. My friend assured me that it was good and nice and light. When it came out and I tried it, I think I was hooked!!! It was delicious! Definitely was not disappointed and I want to come back again for other items on the menu we didn't get to try!

Up until tonight, my experiences had always been positive and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately, this visit was more than disappointing. I ordered a salad I've had at least a dozen times before, accept I added grilled chicken on top. I live for this salad and was just there maybe three weeks ago. Unaware that they have changed their menu, I ordered as usual. The name of the salad has not changed on the menu, but apparently the ingredients had been completely altered. When the dish arrived, to my surprise, it was drastically different and not something I enjoyed at all. I politely informed our server, who was kind and accommodating, and offered to replace the dish. However, it was now 6 p.m. we had tickets to see The Wiz at 7 p.m. and didn't have time to wait for another order, which I also informed her. I asked if the salad could be removed from the bill since it was essentially untouched. The server checked with the owner, who refused to remove the $30 salad or offer any kind of discount. When a restaurant changes a dish but keeps the same name, it creates a reasonable expectation for returning customers. When that expectation isn't met, basic customer service should step in. What makes this even more frustrating is that the restaurant was willing to prepare an entirely new dish, but not willing to remove the uneaten one from the bill. That simply isn't logical. If you're prepared to replace an item, it clearly acknowledges there was an issue, so refusing to comp or adjust the original charge is unreasonable. That decision was extremely disappointing. I, in-turn made the decision to eat only the additional grilled chicken on top, leaving the rest of the salad, paying the full bill and promptly getting out of there so we could be on time for our show. The only positive part of the experience was our server, who handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. Sadly, the new menu leaves much to be desired and this experience has cost Peanut Park my business and my referrals going forward.

Reservations are released 21 days ahead of time, which I personally find impossible to make. Every time I've checked over the last several years there have been no availability. The weather was perfect for outdoor dining so I went ahead and booked a table for Friday night. I felt like I won the dinner lottery. Service was wonderful and I didn't mind sitting outside at all next to the road with cars. I actually never stepped foot in the restaurant so cannot comment on what it's like inside. But do not give up that patio dining reservation if it's available. All of our dishes were delicious. I was really impressed by the meatball appetizers, chicken vesuvio (the potatoes are a must get as a side if you skip this dish), and branzino. The meats and sauces were wonderfully balanced and tender. Nothing tasted overly salted. Ironically, the pasta felt less of a star compared to the other dishes. And of course I had to get the gelato, which was so aesthetically presented and the taste just reminded me of an Italian summer vacation.
