So obviously I love this house & wanted the absolute best for it, as it will be a multigenerational home. The first round of windows, I needed 8 windows for the newly renovated second story. I KNEW I wanted Marvin windows. Based on all of the research and reviews, Marvin made a window that would outlive me, and that's what I wanted. I mean they are an investment. My first Marvin dealer gave me a high number that I wasn't stoked about, but okay, they're amazing windows. The thing that got me shopping for my second dealer, was that the first dealer wanted signed permission from my husband to purchase windows.....CASH. As much as I love that man, I don't have time for that. He works hitches, I run the ranch. My second dealer was in the same ballpark on money, but they also wanted signed permission from a man who did not want to be involved. At this point, I had not even been able to lay hands on a Marvin window because neither dealer had a storefront, they wanted a signature from a man who was away at work and I was left with holes in my house where windows should be. So again, off I went to the third dealer. When I arrived at Showroom Windows, you wouldn't believe it, but they had a SHOWROOM! I could finally lay hands on a Marvin window, a Pella and even an Anderson! And do you know what happened next? Those nice people took my cash and ordered my windows for me, even without my husband's permission. It was so refreshing to be treated like an adult and the price, the price was way under what others had quoted me. I have been so happy with the staff at Showroom Windows, that I ordered my second set of windows and just had them installed today. In fact, until this entire renovation is complete, I will continue to order my windows from them. Even if it requires a drive, I'm close to Waco, the level of care you receive as a customer is top tier. As for the actual windows. I wanted an unobstructed view from the second story, so where the distance was high enough from floor to window, I went with casements. HOWEVER, it was not uncommon, read daily, for that house to experience high winds and I needed a window that would not rattle, flap, or break should future generations leave a window open. They have been left open a lot and are absolutely rock solid. Plus the view is amazing. In the eaves, we did double hung, as they were only inches from the floor and it was imperative that I had a window that could be dropped from the top and lock. Even though my kids are grown, looking out for the well being of my future grands was a top priority. Marvin absolutely delivered on beauty and safety.

The installer was equally as competent. I upgraded builder grade hollow doors for solid core in some of the areas of my new home. I'm overall very happy with the product and the service. The only negative was the price. I felt they were overpriced across the board. If I had more time before moving in, I would have searched a little deeper for more reasonable prices. After lance measured and turned in the paper work, door ordered and about 4 weeks later David showed up exactly at 9:00am. He was oh so efficient, he really knew what he was doing , was meticulous, a perfectionist, knew his job and went right to it. He even installed the lock and key pad I got and explained it all to me. BLUF: they quoted me to remove my existing entrance door and install a new one. sent me a quote for…read morematerials and labor which i accepted (i have all records of communication). After i paid for the materials, it was a struggle to get them to show up and they never finished the job. timeline: paid on December 1st and was told installation would be done by December 19. They said they would prep the door (paint, etc.) and have it ready for the 19th. The week of the installation i never received an update. when i called i was told that they could not be here because of weather. Next, they said they would come on January 2 to do the job. They showed up only to tear up my entrance and leave it unfinished (See pictures). They took multiple measurements of everything they could find but not made any real progress. They left and took the door and materials (that i already paid for) to paint them (didnt do it the first time) and said they would come back the following Friday (1/9/26) to finish the job. when next friday came, they never showed up, i received no communication from them. After calling multiple times for several days with no response, i was able to connect with them by calling from a different number (they thought was a new job). I was finally able to get Rene to at least return my door and materials that i paid for (which they overcharged me for). They finally showed up a few days later to deliver my materials, but the job was never finished as originally contracted. This is not the first time this happens. Despite the many 5 star reviews, we had a pretty awful experience working with JP Exteriors. It…read morestarted when we accepted a bid to replace our entire house with Andersen 100 windows. We signed the contract and put a deposit for half the entire amount. After we signed the contract and put in our half deposit, we were informed that 2 of our windows are arched and Andersen 100 doesn't make arched windows. They said we could replace our front of the house windows with Andersen 400 or Simonton. Simonton is supposedly a less expensive window than Andersen's 100 series. But, they quoted us a higher price to replace the front windows with Simonton than we were quoted for the same windows in Andersen 100. We ended up ordering Simonton Windows with grids for our entire house. We had already paid ($15,000) from our original contract and we were locked in with JP Exteriors. On window installation day, we noticed that there was one window at the front of the house missing a horizontal grid. They let us know that they could get us a "great price" to replace the window that we had already paid for with the proper grid. They also left several small projects unfinished including painting the trim around 2 windows, filling interiors holes around 3 windows, fixing an interior window sill that was damaged during window installation. Ultimately, the window that was missing a horizontal grid was replaced at no additional cost to us and the remaining unfinished items were all competed in a satisfactory manner. However the replaced window that was missing a horizontal grid has now been replaced and the vertical grids on the top window are not lined up with the vertical grids on the bottom windows (See photos below.) It looks terrible and is at the front of our house. We wanted to love JP Exteriors based on their 5 star reviews, but unfortunately, we have had a 1 star experience. Update: They have said that they will fix the window so that the grids line up. If this happens, that will be good.
