Trapper's was recommended to me a while ago, but I hadn't had the chance to try it until yesterday. I'm not sure how busy it gets on Sundays, but it wasn't too bad when we got there around 5pm. We opted for the all you can eat dinner, but it's limited to the bar only - no biggie. We were quickly seated and given water. To start off, we ordered some gyoza and trapper bites. Both were great options. We also ordered some cocktails. I ordered the Pineapple Coconut Crusher. 10/10 if you want a sweet cocktail. After looking through the menu and asking for recommendations, we started ordering our rolls. You order your rolls directly from over the bar, and they're made right in front of you, which I thought great. The rolls and nigiri were delicious. The quality of the sushi is really good. I especially loved the Tukwila and Trump rolls. Both are great options if you're not sure what to order. The salmon nigiri is also really good. Overall, we had a really good experience. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially since it was our first time. I enjoyed chatting with the guys behind the counter and seeing them have fun while preparing our food. read more

I would have loved to update my 3 star review... Everything was literally tossed in the bag?? Hubby went in and got it and handed me the bag which I held the 1 mile drive home Went from bad to worse! We always order the same orders and we ordered drinks, appetizers and a roll all at the start as soon as the waitress arrived at our table, our order arrived after 2 drinks. It was wrong, yet another drink later I finally asked for the manager. Hubbys foods that was brought with mine been sitting in front of him for atleast 35 minutes, awaiting my reorder with correct food. One hour and 20 minutes later I'm still sitting here without food listening to a kid still screaming randomly. If the lady next to me reads this review- after hearing your entire drama... LEAVE THE MAN!! (Also that's a crappy place to leave your bag to whetted have to climb over it to go to the bathroom...) I actually went to the bar and asked a second time for a manager and still no one came. I finally stood up and eventually the waitress came and asked if we wanted to take the rolls home that finally came. We declined. Been here twice - it's meh which is disappointing. Their app atmosphere is nice, nothing formal. Their app is quite generous for the first time using it. A free roll ! So we tried it. We ordered a roll with soft shell crab inside. The crab came out burnt and the waitress replaced it and the second one was actually worse. I'd try it again but it's too expensive to gamble on if the food will be prepared properly. read more

This is our 4th visit to Trappers and it continues to be delicious. We had the whole family time so we ordered Yacht #1 which includes the California Crunch, Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Trapper rolls and two orders of Goyza! At the top of the picture is the California Crunch (Spicy crab, teriyaki & avocado rolled in tempura crumbs.) Very light and a nice balance of flavors. The next one down in the picture is the Bonney Lake (Crystal shrimp with cream cheese, fried in tempura, covered with spicy crab, teriyaki & hot sauce.) The group was divided on this one. The spicy crab seeming like BBQ pork and then a simple hot sauce. I actually enjoyed the texture differences and the familiarity of the hot sauce. The next one down in the picture is the Puyallup (Salmon, avocado & cream cheese fried in tempura topped with a special sauce, teriyaki & green onion.) This was my least favorite of the food tonight with the special sauce being very mayonnaise heavy, in my opinion. It just overtook the other flavors. To the far left and far right was the Mt. Si, (ordered separately and not a part of what is included with the Yacht; Smoked salmon, apple and cream cheese, topped with avocado and sweet chili sauce.) We order the Mt. Si because it was and is our favorite. The balance between the sweetness and tart of the apple, followed by the sweet chili sauce is just excellent. Lastly is the Trapper. (Crystal shrimp covered with spicy cooked scallops, teriyaki, green onion & masago.) People were divided on this as well saying the scallops over powered the other flavors. I enjoyed the texture differences again but would ask for less scallops as the other flavors are lost, in my opinion. The shishito peppers were and are still a big hit. The kids also loved them with the sauce. A perfect amount of breading providing a great little crunch. The Gyoza, were fried perfectly with a perfect crunch. The edamame were simple but good and well salted. The kids teriyaki chicken meal with rice and apples was perfect for our toddler. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Whether it be for a date night or dinner with the family, you will be good to go! The service and staff were all kind and professional. 3*** = Good but no separation from similar restaurants 4**** = Set themselves a part and their food is different and I want to go back. 5*****= You have to go out of your way and make a special trip to try the deliciousness that is there! read more

More of a fried taste and less fish STP -yummy and creamy Sounder without cream cheese -I liked it but my sister wasn't a fan Thrill -my sister loved this one but it was a bit too spicy for me We finished off with some nigiri Albacore -best fish of the night! Our recent visit was quite disappointing.. in 2025 we were regulars here... In 2026 changes have been made, but not in a good way! Yes, staff remained personable and lines remained long.... With mostly families and newborns filling the room. Their new menus had missing items .... though special orders were accepted. Food looked good, but recipes definitely changed cause every item ordered both looked and tasted differently... lacking the fresh flavorful tastes we had loved! First time here, the restaurant is very bright and clean looking. There are TVs behind the bat and the sushi bar. Overall, very welcoming. We got a coupon for 20% off your bill, so we came in to try the all you can eat sushi, 22.95 for lunch. We enjoyed it, the sushi chefs were very good. The server was ok, she messed up on the appetizers and made it always seem she was talking down to us when giving any information. The sushi chef and the server made sure to tell you that if you waste too much that they will charge you. My son ordered a roll that he didn't know had 3 raw fish in it and didn't like it, my wife tried to eat it, but couldn't as she said that it tasted "too fishy". When we told the server she was really short with us and asked that someone else eat it, finally we had to say that we wouldn't, because it was gross. She let it go, but you really feel like you should be able to try something new and if you don't like it, tell them and not feel like you are being attacked. There is confusion on the coupon, it says 20% off your entire bill, does not say "excluding all you can eat". When presented, the server told us we couldn't use it and only use a $2 off coupon... on one of the meals. There was 4 of us, so went from a $20 savings to a $2 savings... they also add 2% service charge to all orders, they say it goes directly to the restaurant, seems like a weird thing to do, just raise your prices and not call it a service charge... your tips should be for service. Either way, these small issues aside, Iwill be back, just if the owner reads this, you need to clean up the coupon to be more clear and ask the servers to have some grace if you get a roll you don't like and not accuse of waste. read more

Walked in at about 12 noon. The person at the hostess stand was super friendly and was helpful getting up to the sushi bar for the all you can eat sushi. We got sat and a waitress came right over so we could order drinks and explained the process for lunch and the all you can eat or the option to use the dinner menus for the all you can eat. The vibe in the place was super cool. I usually get lots of pictures but the staff was very interactive o helping us since my friend had not had anything other than California roll. Might just be our new sushi spot! We walked in on a Thursday afternoon with no wait and were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was super welcoming and helped introduce us to the menu since it was our first experience dining there. She mentioned their happy hours and specials (we actually ended up doing the 3 for 33 which was a great deal)! The service was fast, the rolls were great and the drinks were really yummy. Loved this place last time I was here so made the trek again. Paid for dinner all you can eat at lunch to enjoy nigiri. Would love if lunch special would have included some nigiri and sashimi options. Service felt a bit rushed but was friendly. Ray Ray was a very attentive server, and we got 3 great rolls today! We had the Trump, Hokey Pokey and Red Dragon and we enjoyed all three. The chicken karage was also very good. The sushi was really good. We ended up going with the all you can eat option and it was the best way to go! You sit right at the bar top and can watch them make the sushi which is pretty dope. The service was amazing and quick. The waiter gets the drink orders and app orders and to come and sweep the plates. I took plenty pictures but sadly can't remember the names. Ordered a sushi roll to go from here and that that it was good but nothing super special that I would drive out of my way for. The raw tuna tasted pretty fresh but the roll itself was pretty bland and the spicy mayo was almost flavorless. The have some cool all you can eat options but usually that means that if they are doing all you can eat then it's not gonna be that great if sushi. Cool restaurant though and who knows maybe I'll give their ayce lunch a chance in the future. read more

Was looking for a sushi place that offers all you can eat made to order sushi. Found one nearby and this place did not disappoint. Excellent service and the sushi chefs were excellent. You can taste the freshness in all the sushi I had. While they didn't offer uni or salmon roe sushi, what they specialize is mainstream sushi. We were hoping for a great sushi meal. It was pretty disappointing. The sashimi didn't seem very fresh and with paying over $19, it could have been better. We were given the option for all you can eat at the bar but when we arrived it was packed and would have needed to wait. But if you love sushi, there are lots of options to choose from. It would be something to consider. We then ordered 2 rolls and 2 pieces of eel. Again, it was okay, but not the best out there. The rice tasted a little over cooked and just didn't seem like a lot of great options unless you like it spicy. Hopefully it improves a bit with all the housing going in nearby. I wish I could give this location more stars but I can't :/ My husband and I have been in here atleast 6 times since they have opened this location and EVERYTIME we've come here the service has been incredibly slow... like only 3 rolls in an hour and a half kind of slow. We always come for the all you can eat because we LOVVVVVE the sushi here but it's not worth coming to this location because EVERYONE is too slow. The Glendale location is much better. Even when the bar is PACKED everyone works so quickly to o get everything out to you on time. I love the ambiance here and the sushi but even if no one but you is in the restaurant it might take them 30min to make your roll. Also the customer interaction at the sushi bar is non existent. No one said hello or asked if we had been here before like they do at the other location... there is only ONE guy who is amazing at customer service.
