Had an excellent experience with Trapper Tom. Texted him about capturing a squirrel trying to get in our roof and he was prompt with his response. We agreed on a price and scheduled a date/time. On the day of, he showed up early. After explaining the situation, he needed to get a ladder and did not take long to come back with one. He placed the squirrel trap with bait on the second floor in no time. The squirrel smelled the bait and triggered the door shut when it was on top of the cage. Texted Tom that the door was shut and he came out that same evening to reset the trap. Early next morning I texted Tom there was a squirrel in the cage, and he quickly responded that he would come over to it up. I've used Trapper Tom for 7-8 years for at different homes and very highly recommend him. He is super personable and almost always shows up at the scheduled time. There have been a couple of times when he called to reschedule. But that is rare. Once onsite he is extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. Most recently, Trapper Tom came out the same day for squirrels in my attic. I thought they had gotten in through a loose vent screen. But while checking that out he almost immediately located a 3-inch hole in my roof which could not be seen from the ground. A pair of squirrels had chewed their way in and were nesting in my attic. He fashioned a one-way trap from scratch and installed it. After trying to trap them myself for 2-3 weeks, both my furry house guests were gone the very next day. He told me that they refused to enter my trap because they already had easy access to outside water and food. He only charged me $50 for the service call and trap installation. I added an extra $25 for him coming out on the same day and being flexible with my schedule. If you need reliable pest removal services I would strongly recommend Trapper Tom. He works independently and never tries to up-sell anything more than you really need. read more

Absolutely 5 star service. I heard a noise of something moving I my attic and it was large. I found Trapper Tom on yelp and immediately called. He showed up on time and before ringing the doorbell, he had already found the point of entry into the attic. He then walked the property identifying other areas that mice may gain entry into the house and have pointers on how to mitigate. He then started tracking the animal and identified it as a possible raccoon. 2 traps were set and the next day a raccoon was caught. Awesome job Trapper Tom. read more

We live in Oak Cliff and are surrounded by beautiful trees and wooded areas. Unfortunately, these areas tend to harbor animals that like to come and dig up our yard and flower beds. Trapper Tom had great reviews on Angie's List, so we elected to hire him to come and save our sod from being destroyed. We have not been disappointed. This is our third fall to use him, and each year he traps several raccoons for us. Last year he managed to catch five of them as well as a possum (and the many babies in her pouch). All of the wildlife that he catches is safely relocated to a rural forested area. We recommend Trapper Tom to all of our friends. Two have used him with similar results. Tom has very reasonable rates, is quick to respond, and is just a genuinely good guy who cares about the animals that he catches and the customers that he serves. 5 stars! read more

I had a large raccoon that not only tore up insulation under my home, but also injured my cat. I called Trapper Tom, and he came out within the hour and was able to trap the raccoon for me within 24 hours. He told me what I needed to do to keep it from reoccurring, and I haven't seen another since then. Knowing he is a no-kill trapper was a big plus, not to mention his prices are lower than most. I've also called him for advice on other animals, and he was nice enough to answer all my questions. I highly recommend him and will use him again if needed. read more

Disappointing. Tom is nice/personable, but he failed to deal with the squirrels in our chimney. A mother and her two kits were in the chimney (nest in the cap) and managed to get into the fireplace. (Good thing we have glass doors.) Tom came out and put a one-way door trap on top of the chimney. Days went by and we noticed one squirrel in our fireplace, though, and guessed one squirrel had refused to leave. Tom put a trap in the fireplace. It failed. He said to not worry, that the squirrel would eventually get thirsty and hungry and leave out the trap on top of the chimney. Well, eventually the smell told us the squirrel never left. I called a dead animal remover and turns out that actually none of the squirrels had ever left. Mom and her two kits had died on the smoke shelf. I've since had the chimney cap replaced by a chimney repair company. They brought me the one-way door that Tom had put on the chimney. Turns out it wasn't functioning properly because the one-way door was jammed. If the squirrels did try to get out that way they wouldn't have been able to. Depressing. read more
