I reached out to Rodent Retreat specifically because they are a local veteran-owned business, not a franchise. The whole team was amazing. I was able to schedule an inspection right away, and the gentleman who came explained different options to humanely remove the raccoon and prevent any other critters (including field mice and roof rats) from getting to the house. Based on the services I selected, they came back several times to repair the eaves, seal up possible points of entry on the roof and around the foundation, set rodent traps in the attic and garage, and sanitize the attic. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly and polite, communication was exceptional, and pricing is very reasonable, especially given the high quality of service. They really went above and beyond. I highly recommend Rodent Retreat!

No complaints about the service and promtness of response. My complain is we paid $2500 for a "full…read moreexclusion" and what turned out to be 2 squirrels. 1 year warranty only. We feel the amount should have been adjusted to the gravity of the situation in our the attic. We regret paying this much for just a couple of squirrels which, by the way, were not taken away as I had assumed, but only pushed out. They are still running around out backyard and we know it's only a matter of time before they will be back in the attic (or else they would not push for a warranty extension).

I have been constantly trying to contact Wildlife X and the last response I received from them was August 3rd saying they would be by to move the trap. The trap is located in the same place in my yard and I haven't received any response in weeks. This company has terrible customer service and doesn't deliver on their promises. After reviewing the other negative reviews it is my guess I will receive a response to this review from the owner either denying it or making up a excuse that his company never serviced my address. Being a business man and believing everyone should get a chance to make things right I sent several messages saying that if I could receive a refund I would refrain from public reviews regarding my experience still nothing. AT THIS POINT I WANT TO WARN OTHER POTENTIAL CONSUMERS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We hired Wildlife X Team to remove rats and squirrels from our attic. They installed various…read moredevices to keep animals from getting into the house. They also put traps in the attic, and were supposed to come back weekly to check them, re-bait them, get rid of the dead critters, etc. Unfortunately, they didn't come back and do this work, so I ended up doing it myself. However, the owner (also the manager) refunded our money for the trapping. He was very apologetic, and really seemed to want to make things right. In a perfect world, everything would always work perfectly. But you probably learn more about someone when things don't work perfectly. I was impressed by the way the owner stepped up and made things right. That's more important than some scheduling snafu or whatever caused the guys not to finish the trapping. By the way, our attic is rodent-free.

I started using Wildernex three years ago. We are surrounded by acreage and a green belt, so we had…read moreMANY encounters with snakes in our yard. Their monthly service has reduced that by 75%. This week I had a large water snake hanging around the side yard. We scared it away, but it returned yesterday. I called Andrew, my service tech, and he came by that evening and found it! The snake was caught and was " safely relocated." Now I can go back outside and water my plants without being terrified! Andrew has always been helpful and listens to my concerns, then treats the yard as needed.

There are not enough great adjectives to describe how fantastic Andrew was with our raccoon…read moreproblem. The job was complicated and involved an older home where my elderly relatives reside. I was there a few times while he was working and he was always warm and friendly and explained to me where he was in the process. He texted me regularly when he didn't see me in person, so I always knew what was going on and I never felt like he was trying to rush to get the job finished. Another reason I went with Wildernex originally, was because they said that only one person would be coming to the house to remove the animals. That was important because my relatives didn't want a bunch of different people coming in and out. We had several raccoons making a nest in the attic and they were causing quite a bit of noise and some damage. I called several places at the beginning and got 3 different quotes. The quotes were all about the same but I liked the fact that Wildernex will trap and relocate the animals rather than killing them and that was important to us, so we went with them. Boy am I glad we did! It's much easier to kill the animals and be done with it, trapping and relocating takes time and patience. Andrew came out every day to check his traps for several weeks and set a game camera to make sure he'd gotten all of them. At the end, a straggler showed up and Andrew was ready with a final trap and ended up getting 4 raccoons and a possum in total. All of them were safely relocated (over 20 miles away so they don't come back) and he even went the extra mile to relocate them in the same new area, in case they were a family. I think that it's really helpful that Andrew is a wildlife biologist so he's familiar with the habits of the animals which makes his trapping more efficient and effective. He doesn't cause too much stress to the animals or the humans in the house, for that matter. There was no need to kill the little guys and we all really liked the way he got them out of the attic over time but didn't hurt them. We also learned that raccoons have a preference for Cheetos! After he trapped the whole crew he cleaned up the mess that they'd made in the attic and sealed up the entrances and exits so no new ones can come back. In addition to being great at his job, Andrew is a really nice human being. The older folks in the home were sometimes challenging and he was always so respectful as he addressed their concerns and was very sweet with them. The price was right in line with the other quotes and maybe even a bit less but they offer something that's priceless, which is awesome service and a job perfectly done, along with a guarantee. You'd be hard pressed to find better service than what he gave to us and I'm so happy that we made the choice to go with Wildernex. It was a win win for us and the animals.
