A really unique and awesome sandwich experience. I had a meatball one, and it was a GIANT meatball wrapped in freshly baked bread with the absolute perfectcamount of sauce - not so little where it was dry, but not too much so it wasn't messy as I was eating it. My whole family loved this spot and we got sone of the fried appetizer balls to share. The family behind us loved theirs as well.

Got the meatball and daily special meat in tomato sauce Trapizzino and suppli and crocchetta. The braised meat with tomato sauce was the definite winner, it was like a tender beef stew in a crispy bread pizza pocket. The meatball was good too the tomato sauce had a very mild acidity and the crispy light crust in all the trapizzino makes the "sandwich" I preferred the cheese crocchetta over the suppli they both had a nice fried crust but the crocchetta had a nice sharpness to it, either from lemon or maybe it was a sharp cheese. I also liked that the cheese was melted in the crocchetta where it was not in the suppli. I'm not sure if it's 2 businesses in 1 but the name of the bar that it's served in is Bere but there is a sign on the door that says trappizino. Also all the servers have Bere shirts on. So I think it's 2 businesses in one, Bere is the bar that serves craft beer and the food is done by Trapizzino

Great place for a light and tasty snack! Service was great and fast. Inside was small but fine.

This was a fun lunch after a day at the Vatican Museum. It's a little tough to find this place - we asked someone who worked in the main square where it was, and he didn't even know, I think because the street numbering in that area isn't quite intuitive and it's just off to the side of the square. We found it in some Eater article, and it was fun, and a nice break from the pizza and pasta we'd been filling up on. The prices were also super reasonable! I got the chicken cacciatore pocket, and it was great. My boyfriend got the meatball, and it was good, but mine was a bit better. Not worth a diversion to go to, but definitely worth a stop.

This was a fun snack. I was wandering around Rome solo checking out some non traditional food. I searched online and this place popped up. It's small and quaint, and in a not very populated part of town. They basically serve small, compact individual pizzas in a pizza pocket. I got the chicken Marsala one I think and it was sooooo tasty. They also have a small but good local beer selection that pairs really really nicely with their food.

You first pay at the brewery and then go to the window where they assemble your trapizzino. I had read it was like a pizza pocket, but it was more like a stuffed focaccia. We got the polpetta en sugo one - it was a really tender meatball with tomato sauce. The focaccia itself wasn't bad - it had a hint of sourdough? Supposedly it's like street food, but you can also sit there and enjoy beers from the adjacent brewery. €4 each. Note: Trapizzino is a chain in Italy and now also abroad.

Quick stop for some delicious Roman street food. The Trapizzino was delicious, but by far the Suplí was my favorite - fried risotto balls! Very casual restaurant, and small menu, but definitely worth trying!

Poor customer service. Busy texting instead of tending to customers. Left after waiting for 15 minutes for service.

One thing was better than the next, the tongue sandwich is my favorite but the suppli was a close second.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. In fact, they made a mistake and we kindly let them know we ordered something else- they corrected it and were nice about it.

So happy we did as this place definitely delivers. There is seriously like 8 tables in the dining room so expect a wait in line but trust me, it's worth it. We waited outside for about 25 minutes. They do take your order while in line so the wait for food (once you do get a table) is abbreviated. Out of the world pastas and the pistachio tiramisu is seriously out of this world. Inexpensive table wine rounds out a great meal. This is the type of place I love to go to. It's quaint, zero pretense and delivers on its food. A great find!
