Lamb chops, greens, Gouda Mac & cheese

My friends and I are in town for a conference through the weekend and Karaoke Thursdays was our first stop when we arrived. From the time we entered the building, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Our waitress, Poca, was nice and super helpful with my food allergy and, Vincent, the manager, took extra care to ensure my safety. The food tasted phenomenal! I had the lamb chops, greens, and Gouda Mac. Overall, the table tasted the turkey burger, fries, fried broccoli, dirty chicken Alfredo, salmon taco, and spring rolls. The drinks (too many to name ) were exceptional! We felt at home here! It was a safe, fun place to have a good time, great food, electric ambiance, and top tier drinks. We got a special surprise in the King himself (TIP) visiting our table to 1) ensure everything was going well and 2) hear our minor correction on a menu item (Gangsta Boo Chicken Head should actually be La Chat Chick Head...IYKYK). Trap City Cafe is a must visit the next time you're in Atlanta or just passing through.

Originally went for the museum but if you want the whole experience got to do both . I mean they charged for parking get your monies worth. The staff is coo from the museum to the waitress she was super dope I got the scamming salmon per ERINs recommendation added the peppers and broccoli did not disappoint matter of fact send my regards to the chef please! the fried salmon on top was hella good! It was really chill at the time I went round 6 there is hooka so if your not comfortable with smoke than it ain't for you but it was def for me loved the signage and art work ! But keep in mind an automatic gratuity will be added I didnt mind it she was super knowledgeable and obviously the recommendation where 10/10 deserves every bit of it ! Before I forget I also got the T'kilo sunrise

It was ok. The food wasn't that great and it was too expensive for the portions. Our drinks weren't strong enough to even get a little buzz. I ordered wings, 1 drink, fries and lamb chops (it came with greens and eggs). Nothing was delicious, everything was literally just ok. The atmosphere was nice. I won't return.

Went here on a Friday afternoon around 5 had an early dinner. I had the salmon sliders with the mashed potatoes they were good. Son had wings and French fries they were alright. Hubby had jeezy jerk chicken with black eye peas and collard greens he said they were good.My daughter had the whiting sandwich and fries and she enjoyed her pineapple juice drink. The sweet tea was strong super sweet. The inside was dark and we were the only customers for a while. The derive was good and they food came out not too quickly. The place was clean afterwards we hit the Trap museum and they let us stay parked there so we didn't have to pay for parking at the museum. Gratuity is automatic.

Honestly the only bad place I ate at while in Atl and I NEVER leave bad reviews. We came here at 1pm and was excited to try the main lunch/dinner selections that was on the menu. Our server told us that brunch is served until 4:30. We were disappointed - we didnt want brunch. Their brunch menu was very small and basically. and what restaraunt does brunch that LATE ? This information wasnt posted anywhere we wish would have known prior to arriving. We decided to come back at 4:30 and our server this time told us that brunch was until 5 and we told her we were told 4:30 so she said well that true but yall cant put lunch/dinner items in yet till 5. Highly annoyed but hungry we ordered drinks and waited. We asked for water and she told us that they didnt have any water... What restaraunt has a bar and drink fountain with no water ? She said the only water option was to purchase a $5 water bottle. We purchased it... The server decides she doesnt wanna be our server anymore for no reason, so we got assigned a new server. The new server told us that dinner was not till 5:30 - after that we should have left! Then we explained to her that this is the third time change we experienced so she ended up letting us place our order. As we were waiting for our food, we noticed the table beside us had cups of ice water which I initially asked for. I asked the girls at the table if they asked for water and they said yes and they server gave them cups of water, I told them that my server said they didnt have any water and they told us that was a lie and they server didnt give them any problems with ordered water. I explained to my server that we ordered water and the first server said there was no water and made us purchase the $5 water bottles. The server tried to cover for her and say the other tables with water asked for cups of us - another bold face lie. The manager said that the server said it was no water because they didnt have any ice at the time and they have a policy where they cant serve water with no ice. Another bold face lie because my friend ordered a soda and it had ice in it. The table who had water came in shortly after us abd got their water with no problem. The server should have told us that ice was on the way or something and not flat out that the restaraunt didnt have any water. Food was not even that great. It was given apple bees quality and the service made it taste even worst. Now Insee why the restaraunt was fairly empty. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Loved the food, ambience and service! First time in ATL and yall showed out!! DJ Greg Street was on the mic and you know it was a vibe! Hookah stayed crisp the whole time and drinks were delicious and strong!!

Decided to swing by this place to grab some food with friends. Let's begin with the $20 parking annoying but common for Atlanta. The environment was very underwhelming our server was polite and the service with quick. The food however was terrible. I got the scamming salmon and all I can say is it was named correctly. The salmon was indeed a scam, incredibly small and flavorless. The best thing on my plate was the broccoli. Everyone else's food was underwhelming maybe this place is meant for hookah and drinks but definitely not food. Save your money!

I purchased shrimp and grits and the flavor profile wasn't there, my friends and I noticed nobody orders food that should've been a clue for us not to order but we were hungry and just landed. When eating my shrimp & grits I found wood in my food that poked me in my gums and was still charged for it which is insane to me being that I was asked did I want to replace the dish I said yes but I rather the three wings instead of another shrimp & grits dish. The waitress came back to the table to let me know the wings will be out in a few and was very apologetic and that the kitchen told her that the wood pieces were from the garnish. I said they should definitely wash the garish if they are going to place it into customers entrees! Spoke to the manager and she said she will look into it. Both the manager and waitress were attentive but to still be charged for wood being in my food and poke me in my gums is insane. I will never visit another celebrity restaurant again in ATL they are overpriced, overhyped and under delivered! The Hive is a better option than has better quality food!

I love love love t.i but my experience here was not so great ... first off I paid $20 to self park my car in a sketchy parking area that had no signage stating there was a fee just some random guy walking up in all black saying pay $20 ... The waitresses were all beautiful and very very nice and welcoming... I ordered the sampler that comes with two tacos ( trash no seasoning at all chicken was dry piled with lettuce no cheese or tomato just meat and lettuce) party wings ( they was ok but ) fries ( soggy asf ) and salmon sliders ( pretty decent) overall the sample needs a little work but for my first time having it I was a little disappointed. The atmosphere was dope , dj dope , staff dope I just wish my food experience was better . Whoever cooked it didn't put any kind of love into it a most cooks/chefs .

Salmon sliders and Gouda Mac and cheese

I visited this restaurant mostly because I paid $20 for parking to go the Trap museum so I figured I may as well grab something to eat. I also wanted to support a black owned business and TI since I've been a fan of his since his Trap Music CD. The vibe was cool, our server was nice, the DJ played some good music, and my drink was decent tho a bit overpriced imo. The food was good - the lamb chops were bomb but the salmon sliders were a little disappointing- not enough meat and served on blah dinner rolls but the Gouda Mac and cheese made up for it. But for the price and automatic gratuity, they should really consider better presentation and provide real silverware (not to-go plasticware) and plastic plates. Overall it was a good experience and I would probably visit again if I come back to ATL.

Trap City Cafe is located right next to the Trap Museum. There is a self park parking lot for $20 or valet. I came on a Monday for happy hour, which is from 5-8p M-Th. We were able to walk right in and get a seat at the bar, it wasn't crowded at all. More people started arriving closer to 8pm. It's a pretty nice cafe and gives a sports bar/lounge feel, while sticking with the Trap theme. They have events throughout the week: Game night, Karaoke, Comedy shows, R&B night, and Brunch. I ordered the lamb chops and a side of Mac & cheese, with a margarita. My margarita had something floating in it, so the bartender made me another. The margarita kinda had a weird taste, but was drinkable. When the food came out, the lamb chops were well done and salty. I asked for them to be medium. The bartender had no problem having the kitchen fix it. The Mac & cheese was more like pasta with cheese (penne pasta noodles covered in cheese). The bartender was nice and patient, and made sure we were good. If I do return, it would mostly be for the vibe and to try the hookah and other drinks.

I don't know about Saturday night, but I went on a Thursday night and it was $20.

As expected they are fully stocked with Pappy Bourbon, hard to find Amaro Noni. Ask a bartender about the ice block. The place is spacious unlike other speakeasys I've been to. I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.
