Us with Owner Walter!
Tracey B.

Last Thursday my friends and I were looking for a place to have drinks, light bites, and conversation. We stumbled upon SLUSH and boy are we happy we did. It's a gem of a restaurant located in the heart of Edgewood. It was a light night so we were able to take in the full experience of the restaurant. We started with the drinks and I must say I am not a fan of slushy drinks infused with alcohol because often times the blend isn't even. But not here, their slushy drinks have the perfect blend of alcohol and flavor. I love that they have a variety of slushy's to choose from. I ordered a mix of the ATL Hoe & Black Magic and it was perfect from start to finish. As for the food, I ordered the Seafood Eggrolls and they were surprisingly delicious and filling. Some places like to skimp on the amount of meat they fill their egg roll with but not SLUSH. You could taste the lump crab and shrimp in every bite. They were flavorful and seasoned well. The customer service is A1! We got the chance to meet the owners, Daphne & Walter, and they truly gave us the All Star treatment. They showed us around the space and I was really impressed with how vast the space is. They have a basement that is equipped with plenty of seating and another full bar, which is great for private events. I will definitely be using that space for my Birthday! I'd also like to give our Bartender, Toni and our Server, Poni a BIG SHOUT OUT! They were friendly and recommended great drink and food options. They were very attentive and made our experience enjoyable. We WILL be back!!!

I visited Slush Atlanta for a mixer event for Black Wall Street. This was my first time visiting this location since new ownership, so it was interesting seeing what they did to make things look different. Slush is located on Edgewood right across from Hendrixx Ultra Lounge. The Parking: Awful. It's downtown Atlanta, so everything is typically off of the street. I believe there is a lot, but when we arrived, it was full. The Atmosphere: It was a cool vibe. I love how the renovation looks. Definitely more of a today look. There's a large room on the regular level and a bar on the bottom floor. The music was okay. It was a little all over the place. The Service: It was cool. The staff we encountered were nice. The Food: We ordered Slush Wings & fries...AMAZING! The flavor of the wings was beyond this world. The fries were also really good! Hookah: If you want to smoke hookah while you're here, expect to spend a MINIMUM of $50. This is ridiculous! Too high for me, so I didn't partake. Overall, my experience was okay, but I doubt I'll be back.

Seafood Mac. This was plated so nicely but was not that good honestly....

Slush is a fairly new daiquiri bar located off Edgewood Avenue in Atlanta. It's accessible by taking the light rail, and parking will be about $20-25. There is free street parking but you'll be circling the block for quite sometime and walking at least 4-5 blocks. Reservations are required and each tables is allotted 1.5hr to dine. I think the time goes up if you have 4 or more guests. There is a dress code but to me it's a nuisance because some patrons fit the code but look a mess. A comment was made to me to button one more button on my shirt, so you see the point I'm making... my chest is nice and I had a nice piece of jewelry on.... There is a large variety of slushees and I had the Democratic Party and ATL Hoe. I enjoyed the Democratic Party more than ATL Hoe as I prefer pineapple over peaches. Service is average so nothing remarkable and certainly not bad.... I think the restaurant may be best for late night eats or evening turn ups. The shining star of the restaurant is the furniture with accents of gold and marble! Very unique for the city as most places don't look like this. The food tbh, is over priced and marginal at best. Typical menu of shrimp and grits, wings and Mac n cheese with lamb chops being one of the glam items...I will say the lamb chops are a generous serving and are thicker cut from what I've had other places. In general though, the menu is Nothing different and that's what's frustrating about many of the restaurants that play the music I like but offer carbon copy menus... The seafood Mac tasted like they used crawfish instead of lobster and had a funky after taste. Will I be back, possibly. I'm sure for a late night gathering or something like that but I don't frequent Edgewood too much and for what you pay for 2 drinks and a couple bites it's over priced for average tasting food. My friend and I spent roughly $200 for the 2 of us in total not counting the parking.

Shrimp and grits with a lobster tail

Slush Atlanta really made me miss my college days. If you had the opportunity to go to an HBCU, you'll understand what I mean. This place played all the music I loved in college. It made me feel like I was in club more than a restaurant. I don't really know too many restaurants with a live DJ, but I was all for it. Fair warning, this place is loud and may not be the best for a conversation. If you're looking for a good time with your girlfriends, this is a cool spot to checkout. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try a slush which is crazy, but I did get to try the shrimp and grits with a lobster tail. I will say that the food was decent, but I would probably try something different if I went again. In regards to parking, it is a little difficult in this area. You may need to allot additional time for parking. Also, I advise making a reservation if you can. It'll save you from having a long wait.

Girls just want to have fun! I reserved a table for a very large group for my birthday. It took me a while to get in contact with someone. I emailed the info from Instagram but never got a response. Once I called, I was given the correct person of contact. The large party reservation involves paying a deposit, confirming your number of guests 72 hours before the date and you must sign a contract. The contract does state if all of your guest do not show up you must pay for those guests. It's a minimum spend of $40 plus tax and gratuity for each guess as well. Also they will only take 3 cards when paying. Now to the party! When we arrived we were greeted and taken to a section downstairs. The DJ wasn't there and they were playing a streaming service. How do I know? Because it had commercials playing!! My guests made comments about that. Once the DJ arrived, the music was great! Our waitress Hazel was AMAZING!!!! She handled the group like a true professional. She made sure all drinks were provided in a timely manner. She took our food order and everything was perfect! If I ever go back, I'm requesting her! Ok the drinks and the food were awesome! I had the Atl ho* and summer dreams slushies. They were perfectly made. I ordered the seafood bowl. The lobster was great, although I don't think it was a good amount of food for $30. My group had a great time! I didn't enjoy the reservation process and probably won't bring a large group there again. There are too many stipulations. However, the food and drinks were great and thus if I return, it'll just be me. It's a nice spot with a good vibe!

Slush was one of those places that I discovered while browsing on TikTok. It was one of those places with beautiful decor and aesthetic. Along with a variety of frozen cocktails, they also serve hookah and small plates. The cocktails were mediocre and didn't look like the photos, they were also served in plastic cups instead of the hurricane glasses as shown on their social media feeds. However, our the drinks came out in a timely manner and the service was friendly for the most part. Our server also took great group photos of us which is always appreciated! Upon entering, IDs and purses are checked. There was also a dress code listed on their website but it wasn't mandated. The music was mainly 2000s and 2010s (with a few Top Hits here and there) which was greatly appreciated for our group of millenials! If you'd like a table, reservations are highly recommended (you can make them through Yelp!) or you'll have to grab a seat at the bar.

This establishment would totally be a 5 star place if it wasn't for one bad Apple who left a bad taste in several of my guests mouth as well as myself. I was happy to be able to make my reservation via Opentable. Reservation making is very easy here. The day of my reservation, I received a call from a very nice young lady who called to let me know the specs of visiting as well as the dress code which I gladly appreciated. As my hubby and I approached, we were greeted by security who was cool. Just wanted to check ID's. Upon entering establishment, the décor immediately stood out. Very nice, upscale and pretty. So many backgrounds to take the perfect pic. ** le sigh ** The issue kicked in when I ended up being a party of 6, instead of 5. I understand that reservations are for accuracy, but you can't help last minute additions and due to the fact that their tables aren't in increments of odd numbers, there shouldn't be a huge problem. Please believe the extra person wasn't eating for free and actually ended up spending more money than almost everyone including buying bottles. With all issues, it's all about the handling. Can you say at-ti-tuuuuddeee. My Gawd, Sarcasm and Eye Roll City !! Nevertheless, we were seated by a nice young lady who accommodated us well, leaving room for even more people. That was pretty awesome since we ended up linking up with some others that were downtown that night. Let's move on, the drink options were awesome! There was so many well written described drink options that I didn't know what to get. Thankful for my wonderful wonderful table person who assisted us, she helped us make the best selections and she was right on! We ordered the following drinks and food. Atl Hoe Summer Dreams Chicken and French Toast Herb Lemon Lamb Chops Cajun Fried French Toast Old School Shrimp and Grits Beef Sliders Flash Fried Brussels Sprouts Add a couple bottles of Moet and glasses of wine, a perfect night! The food was delicious, the music was hitting and the vibe was everything. I am glad that I located this business especially since it's a Black Owned Business and I do look forward to returning back. I located this new business 2 months prior to visiting on IG... yes IG! Checked out on Yelp them and loved what I saw. This place will definitely see this face again my next visit to the A!! I may even get their brunch !!

Slush seafood bowl, salmon bites, fiesta fiesta
Camille C.

This review is for food and drinks, but they do have hookah! FYI seating is odd. There were six people in our group and they tried to sit us on one side of their booths in the center of the restaurant--it's a little tricky to explain, but for large groups, I recommend reserving two sides. First off, I'm not a huge fan of frozen or daiquiri-like drinks, but the frozen drinks at Slush were pretty good. I tried the Fiesta Fiesta. For food, I got the salmon bites, which were pretty good and the slush seafood bowl (a little pricey, $30 for a small plate). The only bummer was that they had no wings left to order. I wish there was more food in my seafood bowl for the price, but it is a good choice! I would visit again. Nice ambience and good options!

The vibes were good but the food was 3 out of 10. The food was very salty to my liking. The Mac & cheese was the only thing that I enjoyed. The ambiance is super cute and this place is great for large parties.

My very first time visiting Slush after seeing so many people post and talk about it, I wanted to try it out for myself. I made reservations via Yelp. We were running a little bit behind but the hostess was able to accommodate us after waiting maybe about 15 minutes. The hostess was very nice but seemed very overwhelmed. Our waitress was nice. I ordered deviled eggs and my friend ordered the brussel sprouts. The portions are small, so be aware. The brussel sprouts were good but the deviled eggs had no flavor whatsoever. I really expected more from the taste of the food. The drinks were great, no complaints! FYI: Even though you make reservations doesn't mean you'll be seated immediately so pack your patience. You have only an hour and half at the table (if it's room they'll allow you to sit at the bar for an additional hour and a half). Be sure to follow the dress code because the security guard DOES NOT PLAY! My overall experience was good!

I came here on a Friday night. I was able to be seated right away. I loved the decor and the ambiance. It was really nice and gave me modern vibes. I saw the staff actively sanitizing spaces, tables and chairs. There was a DJ there. I thought the music was decent. He flipped a lot to 2000s R&B and didn't play anything current. The customer service was good but I definitely felt rushed. They had signs that you can only sit at the table for 1.5 hours. I was still drinking and hookah and the waitress just brought out the check. I would've bought another drink but I felt like they were ready for me to leave even though there were 8 available tables and no line/no one waiting to be seated. I think everything was overpriced. Hookah $45. Frozen drinks $18 and they were weak. I ordered a $5 shot and she brought me a small plastic cup smaller than size of the cough syrup top and it was only halfway filled. I ordered deviled eggs. I thought they tasted good but eggs were too soft/over cooked. Hard to hold without egg falling apart. I also ordered lobster Mac & cheese. The top was waaayyy to crispy Again overcooked. Maybe in a few months once they've been opened for awhile, I may return.

We came here on a brunch roll with my homegirls, so we had a limited amount of time to spend here. Their alcoholic slushies are what they're known for. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us samples of the different flavors, and let us know that we could mix flavors. The slushies are good, but a bit overpriced in my opinion ($18). For my meal, I had fried lobster tail, and french toast. The lobster tail was fried, and I've never had it served that way. It was VERY good. I feel like I'm only going to have it that way from now on. The French toast was peach cobbler, with peaches and a small amount of sauce. I would've preferred a bit more sauce, but that's just a personal preference. Overall, a great experience!

It's really good

Beautiful place! Staff was so nice! The only thing is that the drinks are pricey but good. 2hr limit! Food was okay. I'll come back for the drinks and staff lol

What a cool place. Discovered it incidentally while in downtown Atlanta. Upscale with a dress code…read morethankfully. The entrance code can be obtained from their website or local hotel concierges. Dial the number on the antique phone and the door magically opens. The staff super friendly and helpful. The bartenders are the best, clearly passionate about their work. I highly encourage you to try one or several of their signature cocktails. I sampled the Left Bank Martini and Vesper. As expected they are fully stocked with Pappy Bourbon, hard to find Amaro Noni. Ask a bartender about the ice block. The place is spacious unlike other speakeasys I've been to. Lots of niche areas with couch reservations, pool table available. No time for a cigar but that is on my list when I return. Food available from their upstairs sister restaurant.

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.
