Wings queadilla and hookah pretty fire

1st time here visiting fron LA wings and quesadillas were pretty solid. Watermelon hookah was best on town. Would recommend for tourists.

Visited Blu Cantina on Glenwood Road on 08/20 around 10 PM for Taco Tuesday. The kitchen was fully open, as expected for an Atlanta restaurant/lounge at that time. However, the overall experience left much to be desired.Upon entering, neither my friend nor I were greeted. Several other guests seemed just as confused about the seating situation as we were. After finally flagging down a waitress, we learned it was open seating, but the lack of clarity was frustrating. Once seated, it felt like there were no assigned servers--every employee walked past us without a word or acknowledgment. It took about 10 minutes before anyone asked if we had been helped. Once we finally got some service, my friend ordered the fish tacos with fries, and I opted for the Taco Tuesday queso and a turkey taco. The wait times were excessive: 15 minutes for the fries, another 20 minutes for my queso, 15 minutes more for my single bland taco, and then another 16-20 minutes for my friend's tacos. Despite the delays, we decided to stay. The server was very transparent and apologetic, which I appreciated, earning one star. The other star goes to the fries, which were the only highlight of the meal.Overall, the service and experience at Blu Cantina need significant improvement.

Date: 9/2024 Service: 5/5 Service in my opinion has always been good to me! Really love the bartenders, the hookah guy, and management. Prices: 4.5/5 The tequila flight for $20 is a deal. Food prices aren't amazing at regular price, but happy hour does have a couple of deals. Ambiance: 5/5 Whether the DJ is playing extra loud music or the game is playing, I enjoy all vibes at all times. I find myself around positive and talkative people, sharing positive experiences and celebrating things like birthdays, happy hour, and girls night out in this establishment. I love when they have Security for the later nights, it makes me feel safe. Drink Taste/Textures: 5/5 I definitely have much more to drink than to eat. And I've never had a huge issue, although my partner has reported being sick after taking the tequila flight. Food Taste: 2/5 This is not a place where I will eat on purpose. Tried the turkey tacos and would not even feed them to my pet. Didn't enjoy the taco salad, but I have no interest in eating here, hit or miss for me. Hookah Taste: HIGHLY consistent and well. Prices are not worth it besides happy hour, I believe the hookah is like $45 any other time. Value: 10/5 You can't really be a fun and relaxed vibe with affordable options and just good energy all around TLDR: I've been here three times in as many weeks and safely call this place a neighborhood spot. The last time I was here was on a Monday. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had games out like Uno tic-tac-toe, and connect four. No DJ and a quieter night, but the game was playing. I've also been here on several themed nights and have had nothing but good times.

    Sampler! Poppers. Empanadas and guacamole!

Came in and sat and the bar... the ladies were exceptional. From previous reviews I was expecting the typical blk experience but it was actually nice and friendly! I WAS WELCOMED AT THE DOOR! The restaurant was clean and giving "vibes" , I saw a hookah and the blu lighting set the tone.. IT IS HAPPY HOUR and can only speak on this experience. I first ordered a margarita which was delicious and balanced! I also had the sampler with empanadas, poppers, and guacamole! All of which was great!! The music added to the happy hour energy. I'd definitely recommend this time of day... I'm giving 4/5 stars because the neighborhood had a water main break and my buddies restaurant across the street was closed and I came here. Not until later did I wonder how they washed their hands. But... fuk it I'm from the hood and literally had worst!

Stepped out to meetup with one of my friends. As usual I'm ready before her so I had some time to kill so I headed to east Atlanta village and went in for a drink at Blue Cantina. While inside i saw a few people in costume for Halloween. I found a table which needed cleaning, as I approached the table a young lady by the name of KEY told me she would clean it first. Not only did she clean the table, she was my waitress for my time there. I placed a order for a appetizer/patron margarita special for $10. The margarita was done right, so was the appetizer. Music selection was OK to the point I ordered a hookah and after 1hr met up with my friend. I really didn't wanna leave after I started chillin/vibing Lol. I would definitely come back to Blue Cantina. If you decide to go ask for Key for really great service.

I came here for the #LifeStyledHonors kick off Karaoke party and it was a VIBE honey! The place was packed the DJ was doing his thing and the people were full of energy. The staff did a great job checking in on us and getting us what we needed for the most part. I had never had the wings here, so I was unsure which flavor to get, so my greedy self had to get a variety. I got the Sweet lime chili (wet) and the Mexican fire (dry rub), they were both delicious. We also ordered nachos and eggrolls (never thought I'd see eggrolls at a Mexican spot LOL). They have signature drinks, so I had to try the peach whiskey margaritas, not bad. I also noticed they had a cocktail that called for Taylor Port... If you are on social media, then you know there is a hype about this wine and what it supposedly does... So I had to try it :) Overall I had a great time here with my friends, the drinks and wings were flowing, and the vibe was EVERYTHING!

Update: suns out and the patio is closed in! Yes! The owner did this right. Taco Tuesday is my favorite now at this location. Desiree was our server and she made amazing recommendations. She recommended the Hennessy Margarita with Pineapple! Best summer pitcher I've ever had. Knocked our usual watermelon off the pedestal. She also recommended the blueberry hookah and it was perfect. She was attentive and hospitable. The entire staff here was awesome tonight. The server, food runner and manager. The patio is now enclosed with a small lounge, high and low tops with umbrellas. The decor is too cute! The food was good. Which is never the issue the food is always consistently good. I love the decor upgrades done. The darker concept brought the warmth like the older location on Peter's. The DJ was great. It was busy for a Tuesday. I definitely will be back for Tuesday this summer.

Alright so I've patronized blue cantina before ; and even after my reviews I would've still came back and edited for this specific review. This is my first time here during the week (Tuesday) they have $2 tacos and shots -- my table ordered almost all full price items and also the special items and the Server was HORRID. We sat by 9:15 server didn't come to the table until 9:45 Strike 1) some of our food came right out within 15 minutes and everything else after that went down the drain . I ordered a strawberry margarita ... it never even saw the table strike 2) , we as a table (party of 6) ordered two hookahs -- she never placed the order for the hookahs --I know this because I got up and personally asked the hookah attendant if they got an order for our table . She didn't come ask or check on our table until 3 out of the 6 of us at different points got up to physically go find her . She was unapologetic and just asked if we still wanted the items we had ordered over an hour ago-- my table was all upset so we just asked for checks. We also asked for the manager 3 times. It wasn't until the third time he actually appeared and diverted fault to the fact they were understaffed; which isn't the Customers problem -- I've worked in food service and I know how understaffing can be a good tip day if proper service is provided-- or piss poor service can result in negative reviews as such. Also that simple communication in the beginning may have helped us understand the slow service BEFORE we all got mad . Masks were not enforced; however ID required-- no temperature checks; some of the staff had masks and gloves, others including our server had no ppe. The tables were wiped down between use but didn't seem to have any extra extensive cleaning . No social distancing. It was a bar with bar type energy. Some ppl kept their masks on while waiting for food and drinks others didn't even have one. Literally my worst experience here; my friends and I frequent here for the wings; service isn't always particularly great; but I know to expect better than this. The rating is 3 stars as it's honestly a hit or miss . There peach bourbon wings are definitely Holding down 2 of 3 stars and the last one is contingent on service .

I went on a holiday, which was super busy, but even so, service was prompt and attentive. I ordered a pasaflora to drink, which had a beautiful flower in it, queso blanco with chips, al pastor mushroom tacos, chochoyotes, and flan for dessert. Every single dish was inspired, layered with flavor, creative, and truly unique. The presentation was also lovely and each bite felt thoughtful and well-executed. I would order everything a million times over! One thing that especially stood out was the flan's texture, which was silky, delicate, and perfectly balanced. I was also pleasantly surprised to see fried green tomatoes on the menu. It felt like such a special nod to the restaurant's Southern location, blending regional influence in a really cool way. The owner was super nice, which made the experience even better. The decor is gorgeous and so inviting, with intimate, cozy lighting. The whole space feels clean, artistic, and thoughtfully designed. This is an amazing date-night spot that I truly hope sticks around for a long, loooong time. Everything about the atmosphere and experience makes it perfect for a special evening out. I'm already planning to go back and explore more of the menu, but based on my first visit alone, I might even dare to say this is the best vegan restaurant in Atlanta. The jury's still out, but I'm more than happy to keep doing the research to confirm!! lol Last thing I'll say is that I was so grateful not to have to wade through a bunch of non-vegan menu options to figure I it what I could actually order. I also don't have to wonder if my food was being cooked next to a slab of dead animal, which is not the case most places I go. So, thank you for being ALL vegan. The food is so good that there is no chance a non-vegan will feel they've missed out on meat anyway. Logistical stuff: I saw a little bit of street parking, but not a ton. Parking in the deck is definitely the easiest option. You could theoretically bike/skate the Beltline and just walk a couple of blocks to get there. The space is on the smaller side, so I'd recommend making a reservation to be safe if you're visiting on a Friday/Saturday night.

It was a rainy day and my dad and I had arrived before I started grad school at Ga Tech. Our server was an Electrical Engineering student at Tech. It was appreciated after the typical chaos of moving to a new city that he happened over here my dad and I talking and he shared he went to Tech. Over the 2 decades since, I've brought friends who live here and from outside the city to enjoy the great serving and kitchen staff. My wife and I have been many times including on the restaurant's anniversary night last fall. We are sorry to hear the landlord has decided to raise the rent and sell the property. Heather has been our server multiple times. She was our server tonight as we celebrated my wife's birthday with her parents, aunt and sister. From calamari to the desert platter and entrees in between, the food was incredible. The fried lobster tails are a must. The mouse has been my wife's favorite for years. The one note is Jacob the General Manager needs to learn to trust his servers. At the beginning of the meal I let Heather know despite being a party of 7 to just bring the check to me and I'll settle up with the other guests via Venmo. And, at as we were finishing dessert, Heather came by letting me know the next party for our table was had arrived and could she bring our check. I said yes. While Heather was getting our check ($490 Food & $600+ after tip) the Manager came by telling us we needed to finish up and have our check brought. When I asked the Manager to not make this an unpleasant experience and that coming by after Heather had just communicated the situation and I had agreed she told me I should share this feedback with the General Manager. She, Jacob (GM), and I stood on the front patio where I explained what I'm sharing now: Trust your Servers. He said they were front facing and so the management likes to meet the guests. Having your Manager tell us we need to get our check and leave is not the way to meet your guests. Chef Jack and his wife (the owners) are hospitable and trust and appreciate their staff. Jacob having his Manager micromanage the servers management of tables is nowhere close the focus on service the owners have had for 26 years. I hope that Jacob and the Manager take this as a learning moment that if you hire talented people your trust talented people to bring their talents to their job. Sure it was busy. But, that's why Chef Jack hired the staff he hired. Jacob the GM needs to increase the communication with his talented team instead of using the excuse of being front facing to ever overstep their bounds on the relationship his servers have built with his guests. Heather introduced herself when we sat down. Jacob did not - nor should he have. Heather did a phenomenal job making us feel welcome, have food and drink we enjoyed, and even recognizing my wife's birthday with her favorite desert. And when the time came she handled coordinating bringing the bill and having us free the table so a new group could enjoy an evening at Agave. Jacob and the Manager need to trust their staff more. Micro-management is never a good look for your staff's morale or your guests' impressions. Please go see them for Jan 31st 2026 when they close. The servers are all wonderful as are the owners. And the food is like nothing else in Atlanta. The management simply needs to trust the talented staff from front to back of house with whom they get to work. If they're ever in doubt if a server is either providing the level of service they expect or turning tables at the rate needed to keep pace with reservations then talk to the server. The server needs to own their tables. Management should truly be of service to their staff - and you can only do that with trust and communication. Customers should never know management had a single question if the sever was doing what's needed. Because it's a bad look to come by twice about being the check. Especially when the 2nd time is in between the 1st ask if they could and the server bring the check. Of note, I already had my credit card out so that I could hand it to Heather as soon as she returned with the check. And in front of the manager, I handed Heather my credit card. Everything else was great. But, why rush guests?

I adore sitting on the patio and soaking in the neighborhood's vibrancy. Watching the e-bikes whiz by with kids on the back and teenagers loitering the mini-market gives the whole scene a modern Norman Rockwell feel. The margs are cheap, the food is a great value, and everything always comes out quickly. The service is attentive, too--you'll have multiple people checking in to ensure you're happy. As a regular, I've tried most of the menu. One of the 'secret' standout items is the salmon salad (insider knowledge passed down to me!). The quesadilla is my other go-to, though I do wish they'd finally start cutting the darn thing into triangles! Bottom line: this is a place to just hang and relax. I could have happily ordered a full bowl as my main dish and left completely satisfied. For my entrée, I went with the Original Paella. Overall, it was very enjoyable and nicely seasoned. The flavors were there, and it was definitely pleasing to eat. I will say, I was expecting a bit more protein. Everything tasted good, but a slightly more generous portion of protein would have taken it to the next level for me. I'd give the paella an 8/10. We also tried the Enchiladas de Pollo. The flavor was definitely there -- the seasoning and filling were enjoyable -- but the tortillas didn't seem as fresh as I'd hoped. Because of that, the enchiladas lost some of their structure and would fall apart before you could really get a solid bite with your fork. It didn't ruin the dish, but it did take away a bit from the overall experience. The atmosphere was really nice. They offer seating on the first floor (inside and outside), plus a second-floor outdoor option. If you're worried about being cold upstairs, don't be -- they have ceiling heaters, which is a thoughtful touch. We went during lunch, so it wasn't too busy, and it felt relaxed. I can only imagine how charming it must feel at night with the city views -- I'd definitely love to come back in the evening to experience that. The food came out quickly, which is always appreciated, and parking wasn't too bad to find. I could see it being a little more challenging during peak hours, but for us, it worked out well. Overall, I'd give this place a 4.2/5. I'd absolutely return -- especially for that chicken soup -- and I'm excited to explore more of the menu next time.

Visited a Saturday evening with my sister and 1 y.o son, while strolling the Beltline. We sat on…read morethe patio. It was pretty busy which was to be expected but they also seemed to be moving efficiently. We found a table to sit and were given a high chair for my son. Our server brought us water and took our order and the food arrived almost back to back. Mac and cheese: could use some seasoning Patas bravas: delicious. Perfect crunch and seasoning Octopus: great char and flavor String beans: wasn't sure what to expect when brought to the table but I was thoroughly impressed. Overall we all enjoyed everything and I will definitely be back, more than likely with my child bc he enjoyed his food minus the octopus lol, his palate isn't ready yet.

A dope ambiance and a dope vibe! The place looks just like most other Eclipse facilities so just…read morekeep that in mind. This one is new and it's off the belt line and it's in a really good spot though. That's the selling point of it all. As you know if you're coming on the Beltline, you gotta worry about parking so you can kinda get it how you like it. There are plenty of spots to go to if you want to go ahead and do a lot or find some neighborhood parking . With this new Eclipse you can sit inside and check out the views or you can sit outside and just sit under the fans and people-watch. That could probably be the best option just because you're right on the belt line so you get a good view of everything but if it's too hot then that's going to be an issue lol . We just went for drinks just to stop off before we went elsewhere along the Beltline because everything is very walkable. It's easy to go ahead and duck in and off of the Beltline so this will be a good spot but I've been to eclipse plenty of times elsewhere and I know that the food is solid no matter what you're doing. I can't say that I would go back there to eat because I've already eaten there and I know what I like and I know what to expect but if you haven't been the food is actually really good. I started off with a spicy margarita. It got me where I needed to be. That's the important part LOL. Service was really good. It was really crowded when we went and we were just trying to catch a vibe before we started off the Beltline. They made a space for us at the sitting area, right where the door was, so we can actually be indoors and still see outdoors. That was really nice of them. Service was great. Can't complain about that. This looks like a smaller one but at the same time it's still built into the belt line so it actually wins because of location. Other ones have larger dance floors that you can dance at, I guess, so it's a different story. This one still has its own charm. Overall it is what you expect from an eclipse so it's not like I'm telling you anything that you don't know because I'm assuming you've been to at least one of them before. This one is the newest one and it is in a perfect area so if you are ducking in and off of the belt line, this would be a good spot to go ahead and grab some papas bravas and a margarita.
