Tranquility Spa was not very tranquil. The girls at the front desk were very loud to the point I could hear their conversation downstairs. It got worse when some guy they knew walked in. The day I went the impression I left with was that these people had no idea what tranquility meant. Unless this was an off day I would recommend finding a spa that that knows how to cater to patrons. read more

Used to love this place. Went today, got a therapist named sharrie. Took me in 7 minutes late. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Don't know if I got a massage or a lousy cream rub. Asked for more pressure but did not get it. Extremely dissatisfied. read more

I had the best experience today at Tranquility. I am very pregnant and was feeling extremely uncomfortable. I walked in and scheduled an appointment for a massage. The staff was so accommodating. I wanted my massage while sitting and it was not a problem. Peter did an excellent job. Staff made sure it was not a problem for me to get exactly what I wanted out of my experience. I will continue to go back time and time again and highly recommend this spa. read more

I've had many bad facials over the years. I finally found someone who can give me a great facial. It's Elsa! I have extremely sensitive skin. I tend to get milia which requires extractions. Elsa is able to clean and and moisture my face without leaving me with scabs.(as other places have done) She is pleasant and professional. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my face. read more

I went the spa at 2/20 and had a Swedish massage (she was young women with dark hair curls). 2 hours after the massage, I started to have pains in my neck that now have continued through 2/22. I then spoke to Jason on the phone and asked for a refund. He claimed he would give me a refund and then when I arrived promptly at 6:30, he told a cashier that he would not give a refund! He was not even there to handle the complaint. In addition, they told me they would call the police if I continued to complain about asking to speak to a manager. I am now contacting my doctor tomorrow and will hopefully have enough results by the end of the week so I can find a lawyer. Do not go to this place unless you want to have lots of neck and back problems! read more

The worst Spa I've ever visited. The sheets were cold during my massage, they left most of the blackheads during my facial, nasty attitudes from front desk employees, I turned the lights on when my massage therapist stepped out of the room and the sheets were stained. UGH never again! LOVE OASIS SPA NOW ! try them :) read more

Went here for a brazilian wax after hearing about this place from a friend. The place is nice, seemed clean...until we got to the waxing part. They DOUBLE DIP! Enough said. I don't think getting a new stick after applying the wax each time is too much to ask. They're more concerned about saving a couple of bucks on popsicle sticks than their clients' health and safety. Heat does not kill bacteria, contrary to what some people will try to tell you. Bacteria thrives in heat. I haven't had any other service here, but when it comes to waxing, stay away. read more

Not anything like they used to be. Booked a couples massage a week in advance. They overbooked so we had to take individual massages in separate rooms. Was never mentioned at check in. We had no idea until the therapists came to take us to different rooms! Massages themselves - Peter is fantastic. But other therapist was the worst massage I have experienced. Fingertip pressure even after I told her a couple of times that she could go much deeper. Very disappointing. Oasis works much harder. read more

I have been going here for years. The whole experience is amazing. It really is a spa experience. Very clean and the staff is super nice and professional. read more

I treated myself to a Swedish Massage and Lavender Body Polish in May 2015. It was AMAZING. It was my first time going to a spa for something other than a facial. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean. I can't wait to book another treatment but I wish they offered occasional discounts via email to guest. They can be a bit pricey, read more

I tried Tranquility out today for the first time, and as a tough critic, I was blown away by how friendly and inviting the studio is and their staff! It is rare to meet a group of people who are all friendly and quick to acknowledge you immediately. I was greeted by the friendly front desk who took my coat and hung it up, then guided me to the Ladies room referred to as "Hers" and shown the spacious and relaxing dimly lit waiting area full of refreshments and several beverages to choose from. The lady explained the process and provided me slippers and a key to a locker for my use and in the locker was a fresh robe. I changed and only had to wait a few minutes for my masseuse to arrive -Natasha! She is super friendly and as a woman who has tried many masseuses', she is tops them all! She asks the right questions prior to your massage. During the massage she doesn't talk to you ( I prefer to relax not chat) but will check in with you to make sure the pressure is ok and that you are comfortable. After the massage, and you get dressed she greets you with a cup of lemon water to aid in muscle hydration. She thanked me for coming ! No one says that anymore. I highly recommend this spa and Natasha! Very professional staff and very relaxing atmosphere.. I will go back again!! read more

I had a spa treatment on Saturday and I must say this has been by far the WORST spa experience I have ever had. I came in 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time as requested, however my massage therapist (Rose) didn't come to get me until about 5 minutes after the hour (which may not seem like a big deal but it is when I'm paying and she stopped on time). The therapist (ROSE) asked me if there were any areas she should focus on, and I told her my legs were in a great deal of pain. That must've went over her head because she literally spent about 35 minutes on my back and spent about 5 minutes on my legs. She stopped the massage promptly at 5:55pm although she didn't get me until 5:05, and didn't start until 5:08-5:09pm. I came out of my massage and the snacks and lemon water were gone, however there was no one around to ask where it was. I left and called to complain the following day. I spoke with a manager and she stated she would call the therapist to ask her what happened. she also acknowledged they should not have taken snacks away until every client left the building. I finally got a call back, but missed the call so I called back and spoke to a manager named Natalia (who had no idea what I was talking about). she said the therapist said she took you on time, however didn't address any other complaint I had (which shows the managers don't even pay attention to detail). She offered me 15 minutes on my next massage. However didn't address the fact that there were no snacks, or water (which is recommended to drink after getting a massage). When I brought it up, she said, well it should've at least been the lemon water as if it is ok to take accomodations that everyone else gets just because I was the last massage of the day. I paid the same amount as those coming to get massages early in the day, so why is it the receptionist didn't tell me accomodations would be different when I booked, I don't know. When I asked Natalia if I can speak with someone else, her answer was "well Stephanie is the owners daughter and her mother is never here". so I guess my complaint was for nothing. I spent 250.00 in that place on Saturday. Trust, that will be the last dollar I ever spend in this place. OASIS DAY SPA in Dobbs Ferry is much more relaxing. now I know not to try anything new. stick to what I know. Plus oasis day spa is rated #1 in Westchester. now I know why. do not spend your money here. read more

I must say, this is the best spa I have ever been too !! I went there yesterday 2/22, and had the best massage of my life. Everyone was so nice and sincere. I didn't know really anything about spas but the front desk was so helpful. Even the people downstairs greeted me with kindness. As I checked out though, a man came in complaining how he wanted his money back because he had a horrible massage. I found that very hard to believe knowing that everyone was so great there! I was trying to pay for my services and he continued to curse and yell. Doesn't he know he was in a spa. I found that to be very rude and it kind of made me tense and ruined my relaxation. I felt so bad for the girl at the desk, she was only a receptionist what could she do. I would of called the security or something because this was a mad man!!! But overall I had the best massage ever. That was the only thing that ruined it. KUDOS to TRANQUILITY SPA for giving me the best experience I have ever had!!! read more

Attention dudes! - I went in to Tranquility Spa to get a back/chest wax. I highly recommend Vanessa to get the job done right. Especially if you're a guy because getting your chest waxed sucks, the skin there is just naturally sensitive but trust me Vanessa will get it done quickly, precise, and believe it or not... NOT PAINFUL. I was expecting to feel like I was being tortured in medieval Europe, getting my skin ripped off. To my surprise it felt like a tiny little sting for a few seconds, if even that. Most of the time the strips didn't sting at all, seriously no joke. It must be the quality of the gel wax they use because it was hardly painful in anyway. So to the guys out there who want to get it done, save yourself the pain and hassle going to other places and feeling like your skin was ripped off. Go see Vanessa at Tranquility, I absolutely will every time now. She is courteous, professional and very skilled. I cant recommend this place enough. read more

I used my "massage" gift certificate this evening to get a facial. I was told when I called the Spa a few weeks ago that I could use the certificate for either service. Along with the gift certificate was a brochure with a list of all the services offered without the prices. I was told that the therapist would evaluate my skin and decide which would be better for me between a European Spa Facial and an Age Smart Facial. When I arrived tonight to check in, I was told that I was getting an Age Smart Facial. OK fine, I thought. After my WONDERFUL facial, upon check out, I handed in my gift certificate and was told that I owed $44! I was told that this was the difference in price between the European Spa facial and the Age Smart facial! I was not told at ANY POINT, either when booking the treatment or BEFORE the actual service that the Age Smart facial was $44 MORE than the European Spa facial. If I knew that ahead of time, there was NO WAY that I would have picked it. I feel that Tranquility Spa was "pulling one over on me" and deceptive. The receptionist called her manager and after speaking with her (out of earshot of me) she told me that the Spa would "split the difference" with me and that I owed $22. Against my better judgment, I paid her $20, which they did not deserve, and left. I will find a different spa for any future treatments. I think their treatment of my situation and their lack of responsibility in communicating the difference in prices was VERY POOR customer service. To anyone thinking of using a gift certificate, CONSUMER BEWARE - ask prices! read more
