I havent been there in ages! I went due to going to my Dentist and passing her Office so took a peek. I had a Facial and it was ok. Owner does the services although I remember her scheduling was not every day. Call way ahead of time or check her Website for added services and prices. People love her! read more

I had facial at Balance Day Spa with Allison a couple weeks ago and I am so happy with my service and my experience. She went over some concerns I had with my skin and made sure she treated those areas. She suggested what products I should be using on my skin and I am so happy weeks later with how beautifully my skin did afterwards. I enjoyed the super comfortable and calm environment in her spa. I will definitely be booking an appointment soon again! read more

Had a really good experience. It was my first facial and I loved it. So diverse. Really included so many different experiences during the session. Everything was high quality and amazing. read more

Can't say enough about this Spa. The facial was amazing. My skin tingled and felt smooth. The Spa is spotless and Allison was wonderful!! I left feeling revived and loved how my face felt and looked. read more

Balance Day Spa is the best facial in Westchester! Not to mention the safest! Due to all the precautions taken, I have felt safe going here as soon as they re-opened during the pandemic. You will consistently have a beautiful, pampering experience from which you emerge relaxed with glowing skin. The Eminence products are organic and all smell delicious. I try to go to Balance Day Spa regularly as I truly believe Allison's care is the long-term strategy to beautiful skin. It is the most consistently high quality of care I have received in my facial experiences in Westchester. read more

Allison is amazing! She uses only quality products and you can literally feel your skin transforming during the facial. She has a very relaxing atmosphere and very COVID safe! Highly highly recommend. read more

Allison is the absolute best!!! My eyebrows are always 'on point' after she gets done with them (and I'm very particular about my eyebrows!). Also, her facials are amazing... worth every penny...you will leave with your skin glowing. Im addition to being awesome at what she does, Allison is also a wonderful person. She always has a story and keeps you laughing the whole time you are with her. And lastly, she gives back to her community. She does food drives every Christmas, and she was kind enough to donate to my daughter's nursery school fundraiser. I'm so glad I found her as my aesthetician and friend! read more

Allison at Balance Day Spa is a gem! She is knowledgeable, skilled, very Covid conscious, and uses quality products. She is always available for product advise and truly cares for her clients. read more

I write this as my skin is still glowing from yesterday's facial (& feels baby soft). Allison looks at your skin & can tell you exactly what type of facial you're in need of. She is so knowledgeable in everything skin, & will break things down to me like she's a doctor when answering any questions I have about products or what specifically has been going on with me. Allison gets so excited for me to see my face after she's done, & I understand why as soon as I look in the mirror. She's a miracle worker. Thank you for keeping my skin young! read more

The three S's, service, satisfaction and sanity are what Balance Day Spa is all about. Services- The services Allison offers and provides are fabulous. Satisfaction- You'll leave satisfied with whatever service you get because you will not only look and feel better (you were beautiful even before the service), you're now even more of a goddess. Sanity- Your sanity will be saved knowing that you don't have to lock the bathroom door while you wait for that mud mask to dry or no longer have to wax and pluck yourself into submission and ALL of the work and effort the spa has gone through to provide a pristine, safe and clean environment (even before COVID) is remarkable. There is no place like Balance Day Spa. Thank you Allison! read more

First impression: Allison is fabulous (she also likes using this word - and variants of this word - alot =P). She comes off as an extremely intelligent woman who just happened to find her niche in the waxing world and made a business out of it, and boy am I glad she did. She is quite the one-woman show! I think she literally handles every aspect of her business on her own, maybe except when she's on vacation. As soon as I stepped through the door, Allison made me feel right at home. I thought long and hard about how to describe the way that she made me feel, and the only way I can truly describe it was that she treated me like a friend she was trying to catch up with after a long absence. No awkwardness, no rapid-fire string of questions, just a nice, easy flow. I love the quaintness and homey decor of her suite - definitely a far cry from the stern office building exterior - and I really appreciated the cleanliness and organization of the room in which I had my waxing done. Allison really did a great job with my wax. She says that great waxers are few and far between, but she is definitely one of them. She was extremely thorough (almost to the point of being OCD..not my words, she said so herself), and I really appreciate that she took the extra time to make sure to clean up not just the area that I wanted waxed, but also the areas directly adjacent to it. Like I said, very thorough. And fabulous. I'm excited that she is looking to hire a second waxer - yay for more appointment availabilities?! With her high standards, I'm sure the second person will be just as fabulous as she is. I can't wait to book my next appointment! (: read more

I write this review as I just attempted to pluck my own eyebrows due to quarantine, and was reminded of how much I miss Allison. I started going to Balance Day spa a few years ago when my eyebrow lady (who I was LOYAL to) moved away. I was skeptical and reluctant about going to somebody new. What I found in Allison was everything I was looking for, and everything I didn't know I was looking for!!! She has the basics (lots of services at very reasonable prices and frequent specials, IMPECCABLY clean salon which my OCD self requires, she decorates for holidays and provides little chocolates and water/tea in the waiting room while you wait). And as I'm writing this even the basics are above and beyond. But in addition, I feel like I've found a confidant, friend, therapist AND esthetician all in one. While she gives me amazing facials and beautifies my eyebrows, we talk about all sorts of things and I always leave feeling better. She provides a safe and warm environment. She's even been putting out a weekly newsletter while in quarantine (FOR FREE) with priceless tips on everything from cooking to at home facial routines. I would never go anywhere else! read more

I knew I was going to be in town recently and made it a point to schedule and appointment with Allison. She was able to accommodate me according to my schedule, which is super stellar of her to do and something she is known for. She will always work with you!! I came in for a wax and got there on time. I was taken immediately, which is not out of the norm. Allison is always punctual and will get you in and out in the appropriate time frame for whatever you're having done. I could run time by Allison, I swear! Balance Day Spa is always immaculate and this recent visit was no exception. Allison takes her time with her waxing and NEVER double dips! She is efficient and precise, and makes waxing a pleasant experience. Allison converses with you for the duration of your visit and it's just like hanging out with an old friend. I'll be back to see Allison the next time I'm in town, no doubt! read more

Allison is fantastic in so many ways. She's very warm, fun to chat with and, most importantly, fantastic at what she does. My eyebrows and skin have never looked better, and I wouldn't dare let anyone else near them. I've referred two family members to her as well. Allison is also dedicated to her cleaning protocols and takes COVID seriously, and so I'm never worried when I visit. I can see why she encourages me to book appointments far in advance, as her popularity is well deserved. read more

I got a facial with Nazime and it was absolutely wonderful! I'm new to getting facials and she explained every product and process to me. (Which I loved) since I didn't know what to expect. Nazime was so knowledgeable about the products they carry and was able to recommend an exfoliate for me to take home as well as provided me with a few samples. Can't wait to come back. read more

A truly great experience. On a whim, because I was in the area I decided to call to try to make an appt for a brazilian bikini wax. I didn't want to leave a message and figured I'd just stop in to see if there was time to squeeze me in. Not only did I receive a call back based on the caller id, but I called back and was able to get squeezed in. The owner, who I spoke to, gave me great directions to the building! When I arrived at the building I was a little skeptical about the place because it was in a medical office building but the parking was free so I wasn't complaining. I also wasn't complaining when I arrived to the suite that balance day spa is in and saw how tranquil and inviting it was. Soft hues of green and white and blue offer a french country feel. The Keurig in the corner with an assortment of teas and coffees, the fridge stocked with milks and creamers and the werther's original hard candies called my name. The bathroom was super clean too! I'm always impressed when I see a clean bathroom. Now for some background... my mom has had her own beauty salon where she did waxing and facials in the city on the UES and now she works out of her home where she turned the above ground basement into her office. I know the standards she puts on things because I grew up with them and always strive to look for places that have the same standards as she does... I am happy to report I found a place like this. The owner knows what she's doing, is professional, sweet, talkative and well educated. She cares about cleanliness, she cares about hygiene and most importantly she cares about her customers. She knows, like my mom, that in order to get a great following with great referrals you need to provide an experience at places where you're getting waxed or having your face cleansed and treated. She's not looking to just squeeze out as much money as she can. I got that experience here and was happy I decided on a whim to come here. And the brazilian was done well and I am very pleased with the results! I am deifnitely a return customer and have already referred a friend to try balance day... I'll be referring more! Definite thumbs up for this place! read more

I am not a regular patron of day spas, but I have to admit, Balance Day Spa has changed my ideas about facials and skin care in general. Not only do their products work, I am using less makeup and feel comfortable doing so. In fact, I've been told that I look younger without my heavy foundation because my skin appears more even in texture and color. After having a facial with Allison as well as Nazmie, I felt relaxed and cared for in a quiet and safe environment. I highly recommend their approach, which combines thorough product knowledge with years of "hands-on" experience in managing even difficult skin problems. read more

So if you know my profile you know that I have traveled everywhere: Europe, East Coast, West Coast, and as every girl knows she needs a good place to go to get pampered, but also to "clean up" so to say :) Balance Day Spa is that awesome place in the NYC Metro Area. The Good ~Alison the owner is professional, friendly and down to earth. ~She listens to what you need, " I like thin brows" I got thin brows. "I need a bikini wax!" Done. "What are these blackheads doing on my chin?" Glowing facial anyone?! What could be better ~Alison is currently the only Wax Tech so scheduling can get tricky. What takes getting used to.... ~Her cancellation policy: if you miss an appointment or cancel within less than 24 hours (she calls EVERY appointment the day BEFORE to confirm you are coming) she changes your credit card 100% for the service you were scheduled for (like most high end spas do) BUT you can use that CREDIT anytime within the next 3 months UNLIKE ANY OTHER HIGH END SPA!!! Ummm hello, where do I sign?! I moved back to NYC last year, I work in the city and commute to Westchester to have Alison take care of my spa needs, THAT is how good Balance Day Spa is! :) read more

I'm 9 month pregnant and new at the White Plains area. I was terrified of experimenting new waxing salons due to the fact that waxing is a very private issue; moreover, during pregnancy most of your body is VERY sensitive especially on your last trimester. The first time I went to Balance Day Spa was a month ago when I had my under arm and half leg waxed. I learned about Balance Day Spa through Yelp and so, I took a chance and schedule an appointment with Alison. Alison was very professional, sensitive and listened to my needs as I was very nervous. Finally, she did an amazing job and the whole atmosphere was very relaxing and soothing. The place is very clean and the treatment room makes you feel comfortable as soon as you you walk in. It was such a positive experience so I decided to come back to have my bikini line before labor and I'm so glad I did it! Alison was very sensitive due to the fact that pregnant women are more sensitive than the usual (especially at 9 month when everything is sore and puffy), explaining clearly every step of the way. Thanks to her I'm ready to give birth in style; hairless in the right places. I would defiantly recommend on Balance Day Spa as the best place for perfect waxing. read more

Alison is the absolute best. I used to get facials as a treat once a year now I am on more of a routine and believe it or not it started during COVID. The place is super cute and impeccably clean. She makes you feel comfortable and relaxed and I won't let anyone else touch my face ever. Thanks Alison! I highly recommend. read more

An unbelievable find! I have actually found a place I can go to and NOT MIND HAVING HOT WAX APPLIED TO ME. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes everything so simple! I called for an appointment, was called back very promptly, and was fit in within the same day! I will agree with other yelpers that the initial appearance of the establishment is somewhat...shady, what with it being located inside a medical office building that is having construction done to it. When I got inside, however, I was totally floored! A totally adorable and relaxing space with scented candles, light colors, coffee and tea...everything was soothing and comfortable. I especially appreciated the fact that during the wax, each stick was used once and thrown out (I am a stickler for hygienic practices). The prices were great and I will be returning asap! read more

The facials Allison gives are on another level - leaving your skin feeling rejuvenated and looking visibly restored. Allison is the best. Years ago I was hoping around from place to place and happened to find Balance Day spa. It's clean, relaxing and the first time I walked in I felt like I was there before. I never met anyone who makes you feel so comfortable while giving you a Brazilian Great place. read more

Allison = Amazing! Been going to her for years and never disappointed. I hired her to do my and my bridesmaids' makeup at my wedding and it was OUTSTANDING -- truly flawless. Allison is a knowledgeable and talented esthetician; the best around. Very COVID-conscious and keeps an extremely clean and sanitized spa (even before this pandemic). You must check her out -- any service will do, but the facials are heavenly! Treat yourself today! read more

I recently had my first ever facial with Allison and let me tell you, her hands are magical. I thought my skin was in pretty good shape, considering I live in oh so sunny Florida and I've had my share of sunburns. Well, when she had me look in the mirror, I wasn't sure I was looking at *my* face at first. My skin was flawless- and a week later, (after 2 flights!)it still looks awesome. I asked her if I could bring her home with me! The products she uses smell divine and she explains every step as she goes. Even the dreaded extractions were entirely bearable and immediately soothed. I had always heard horror stories about redness for days after a facial and was a little concerned about that, but there was not any redness at all. My skin has been so fresh looking that I haven't bothered using my everyday makeup. I also got a lash tint- something I never knew I needed til now. It makes me look awake even when I feel dead to the world. As for the spa itself, it's quaint and tastefully decorated. There is fresh water and coffee or tea available, along with magazines to peruse while you wait. The rooms are clean and comfortable. You will be in good hands while visiting Balance Day Spa and you'll leave feeling relaxed and fresh. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular. read more

This jerk thought I was someone stalking her. I've never seen her in my life I was looking to buy a $150 gift card for my wife. Now she has a 1 star review tarnishing her perfect rating. All because she didn't take 1 minute to listen to me before she judged me. My business goes elsewhere, yours should to. ****Response to the BS**** I went to Spavia. Very nice people, you can ask them what I spent. You had a shirt with your business name on it and no one answered the door during your very limited store hours. That is why I approached you directly in front of your store. Hope I ruined your day like you ruined mine for no reason. Psychologist...lol. Still 1 star. Thanks. read more

I absolutely loved everything about the facial. Allison did an amazing job. She explained everything that she was doing and what she was using. The atmosphere was so relaxing and peaceful. I have been visiting Balance Day Spa regularly for the last 5 years. I absolutely love it! Both Allison and Nazmie are amazing - they are masterful estheticians - they take great care in ensuring their clients are happy and getting exactly what they wanted and are also just great people - I always enjoy seeing them. Went there for the first time last week and was really impressed by the covid safety precautions they've instituted (and I've been a germaphobe for 40 years). I had a brow tint & tweeze and I'm definitely going to return for waxing services. Parking was easy and the office building that houses Balance Day Spa is immaculate. I'm thrilled to have found them. read more

I have been going to Allison for almost 4 years for waxing and would give Balance Day Spa my highest recommendation. (So much so that I have moved almost an hour away and still can't imagine going to anyone else.) She is a professional and the spa is very clean, cozy and welcoming. Not only does she do a great job every time but she also recommends products and services that she genuinely believes will benefit you -- which is something I really value. I am consistently impressed with the service I receive here. read more

I come to Balance Day Spa for regular facials and both Allison and Nazmie are excellent at what they do. The environment is quiet, relaxing and you will leave feeling completely refreshed and renewed. Every facial ends with a hot towel on the back--heaven! The facials take over one hour--they do not book you for 60 minutes and give you a 45-50 minute facial. I love that they take the time to do everything properly with wonderful massage and stretches applied throughout the facial. At this salon the facials are done almost entirely Yonka brand skin care--a brand I had never heard of but quickly fell in love with after my first session. Everything used here is of the best quality and that is evident in the way the product feels, smells (so good!) and the results you will see in your skin. I highly recommenced Balance Day Spa. read more

Call me meticulous, call me high-maintenance, but the only hair removal method I will ever use for my legs is waxing. Somewhat of a Mediterranean stereotype, just two days after I've used a fresh razor, and I'm due for a shave all over again. A) I don't have time for this grooming routine, B) I'll inevitably cut myself through the third layer of my epidermis when entrusted with a razor in the shower, and C) I loathe all of the painful ingrown hairs and bumps that come with the territory of shaving. Enter Allison, the amazing woman behind Balance Day Spa. I really have to admire her work ethic and business acumen - after many years as an aesthetician, she decided to establish her own day spa in White Plains. She's truly a perfectionist in how she cares about the experience of her clients and in her ability to do a beautiful job. It's not often you find someone who remembers all the tidbits of what's going on with your family AND does a superb job of waxing your legs AND doesn't charge a small fortune. Allison often says that it is difficult to come by an aesthetician who knows what she is doing with wax, and it's true. In the past, I've had painful, ingrown hairs and there have been times the hair follicle has gotten infected. But not with Allison! She is precise and the methods she uses lead to a bump-free, silky smooth existence. While I was living in Chicago, booking an appointment with Allison was always high-priority whenever I came home for a long weekend or otherwise. If you need a last-minute appointment, it may be difficult. Allison is currently the only aesthetician and she is booked weeks and weeks in advance. She is, however, extremely flexible with scheduling. There are times where I have been running late thanks to accidents on the Deegan or have had to make an appointment late in the evening, and Allison has been very understanding and accommodating. Thanks to Balance Day Spa, my legs are silky smooth for weeks (and can avoid being called an "Earth Momma" by one quirky yoga instructor)! read more

I was in a urgent search for a facial (as my brothers wedding was two days away and I was in it!) I found Balance Day on the internet and read all the great reviews. I called in to book an appointment but everything was booked. I realized after a minute I was speaking to the owner, Allison on the phone and she offered to stay late one night because I am sure she heard the desperation in my voice! TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Alison is amazing. Not only is she personable but she truly knows what she is doing. Not once did I feel like she was just trying to sell her products to me. She has so much knowledge on skin care that I felt so safe in her hands! I did the Balance Day Facial and to say my face was glowing is an understatement. My boyfriend could not believe how fresh, rejuvinated and literally GLOWING my face was. She literally extracted every black head on my face. When I let her know what I was using as a fash wash she told me a lot of my problems were self inflicted (did you know half of those over the counter face washes have diswashing detergant in them!). By the end I was practically throwing my money at her because I was SO HAPPY with the results. Overall, I give Allison a 5 Star Rating. She is simply AMAZING. I will be a returning costumer for facials and any skin advice. I purchased Yonka Paris face wash and face lotion for her and I will say my face has NEVER looked better. GO SEE HER!!! read more

I have been coming to Balance Day Spa since early this summer when my best friend Ashley recommended Allison as doing the best brazilian she's ever had. As a spa professional herself I trusted her and she was right. Balance is immaculately clean as I noticed right away by her spotless white tiled bathroom. (You can always tell a lot about an establishment by the way they keep their bathrooms) The owner Allison uses a different stick each time she dips into the wax and is super quick while also being a perfectionist. This was the most clean & painless waxing I've ever had. I've been back to have my eyebrows done as well as the most AMAZING facial. The best testament to how great my skin looked was when my teenaged son said to me "mom, your skin is glowing". Never before or since has he said anything like that :) Also free parking in the back is great as you may know parking in WP can be a major issue. read more

Tried to make an appointment here and they wouldn't let me without giving them my credit card number over the phone to "keep on file." That's a very questionable business practice and no one should be keeping your card number "on file" in some probably not secure location. They lost my business and I strongly recommend that people go somewhere they don't have to compromise their security. read more

Forgive me it's been 2 years since my last review - hey I've been coming here for 5 and a half years. For the first time since Balance Day Spa opened, I had a facial with a different person. Now I know why Allison waited so long before hiring a new esthetician - finding someone with her level of experience, care and skill was no easy feat and yet she did it! Do yourself a favor, get a facial and waxing with Nazmie who is amazing just like Allison. Now I no longer need to fear a work meeting that might mean rescheduling and waiting weeks for an available appointment for a facial or waxing - whoever is available will be doing he job (alas I suspect this will be a short lived situation until they're both flat out). God I love it when a business runs like clockwork, has staff you don't have to pick and choose from as they are all fantastic and leave you walking out feeling like a giant marshmallow full of zen love and bliss! Welcome Nazmie and can't wait for my next appointment with you - Allison wasn't available that day but I'm in awesome hands with you and will see whoever fits my crazy work schedule (this right here friends is peace of mind)! No wonder this is the best day spa in Westchester with consistent 5 star ratings. It is because the owner, first and foremost, cares about the quality of service every client receives and that you have a consistent experience regardless of who you see. By the way, love the cute seasonal decor changes that make this place really relaxing and fun. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! read more

I am literally filled with JOY and EXCITEMENT every time I have an upcoming facial appointment at Balance Day Spa! I have oily and acne prone skin and I have religiously scheduled my facials every 6 weeks since my first time at BDS. My skin is glowing. Since the first time I went to BDS, I saw how much of a personalized approach they took to your skin type.
